Facing the Atlantic Fundraiser:
Moyer and his mate Bertie Portal made a video for all of the participating fans who helped fundraise and support Facing the Atlantic.
On the fundraiser, AllStephenMoyer said:
“Facing the Atlantic is the most thrilling fundraiser we have done so far. It was exciting to follow the journey of Bertie and James, with all its ups and downs and we couldn’t have been more happy when they set foot on Barbados after 63 days on the Atlantic Ocean.”
In an email, Moyer said:
“…finally – FINALLY – I have had to reload the whole bloody thing. Can’t thank you guys enough for everything you and everyone on your respective websites have managed to raise…
Bert is gobsmacked by the level of commitment you put in…
I’m at work, and have just spent the entire last hour and a half trying to load this again, so now I’m off many thanks again.
See you all soon
…There is a glitch in the middle of the video where we were discussing how much money you lot had raised which I didn’t realise hadn’t recorded until I was back in the US… bloody annoying.”
Thanks for all of the help Truebies! Don’t forget (wait, how could you?) season 5 of True Blood premieres on June 10.

Our Fave Werewolf Drops in on Author at Book Signing:
It is probably a safe assumption to say that the many True Blood fans have heard of world famous, American horror author Anne Rice. Mrs. Rice is known for her vamp fiction works, including Interview with the Vampire, one of her most famous works. She has brought the world of vamp fiction to the lives of millions of people and she continues to turn out work at a steady pace. Her newest novel, The Wolf Gift, depicts the story of Ruben Golding, a San Fransisco journalist who is turned into a werewolf. As a fan of Mrs. Rice, True Blood’s Joe Manganiello, who plays werewolf Alcide Herveaux was excited to take the opportunity to drop in on the author at a recent book signing.
Mrs. Rice was completely surprised and they both appeared to be quite big fans of each other’s work. Manganiello towered over nearly everyone in the book store as he surprised fans and walked Mrs. Rice to the stage. He’s so tall! Check out the videos below:

Kwanten Shows Off Playful Side As “Mambassador”:
In the fall of 2011, Australian surf and skate clothing line, Mambo, hired True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) for its ad campaigns (True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten US “Mambassador” of Aussie Mambo Clothes). The star of one of HBO’s most popular television shows will lift the brand’s American profile, as well as design his own line of clothing for them.
The video includes scenes of a humorous and playful Mr. Kwanten engaging in the kinds of fun activities that are popular with Mambo’s core clientele.
The video begins with a text overlay that says, “Music Art Surf Skate Humor” and sets the tone for the rest of the clip. Mr. Kwanten and the two models – wearing assorted items of Mambo clothing – ride bicycles and skateboards along sunny streets. Mr. Kwanten tumbles down a sand dune and dances atop a travel trailer. The clothing is featured prominently and the video gives a summery, playful feel; very much appropriate for a line of clothing designed for youthful surfers and skateboarders.

Angela Robinson Joins Team for Episodes 505 and 511:
Gianna Sobol (insider extraordinaire at True Blood headquarters) recently interviewed Angela Robinson, True Blood’s newest writer. Robinson opens up on her role as a writer for two Season 5 episodes:
Gianna: What were you up to before you joined us here in Bon Temps?
Angela: I was working as a Co-EP on Hung.
Gianna: Were you a fan of the show before you joined the team?
Angela: I was! Although, I wasn’t up to date.
Gianna: What’s it been like joining a show already in its 5th season?
Angela: It’s been really fun and exciting. Alan is awesome to work with and the other writers have been very welcoming and are insanely talented. I’m in prep for my first episode now, so I am just now meeting the cast and crew.
Gianna: Which episodes are you writing?
Angela: I will be writing episodes 505 and 511.
Gianna: What’s been the most challenging part of the new job?
Angela: I think getting a feel for the tone of the show and the voices of the characters. I’ve always been on shows since the beginning, so it’s a different ballgame to come into a show where everything is already established and figuring out how to do your thing within the established parameters.
Gianna: Who’s your favorite character to write for and why?
Angela: I’ve only written one episode — but so far, I really like writing for Sookie, I enjoy her struggle to retain a sense of normalcy in her increasingly dangerous life. And I like writing Jessica, I think the dichotomy between her natural goodness and the dark side of her vampireness is fun to explore.
Gianna: How is True Blood different from other shows you’ve worked on?
Angela: It’s way mellower, and the hours are great! Of course, I haven’t entered production yet. Ask me again in a month.
Gianna: Any fun hints you can drop about the coming season?
Angela: I am terrified to utter a peep because there are so many rabid fans out there, so I am going to remain mum on that. Suffice to say it will be awesome.
