Charlaine Harris Announces Pre-Order and a Surprise for True Blood Fans in October:
Not only is book 13 (Dead Ever After) in the Southern Vampire Mysteries series due for release May 7th, it is also the last book to be penned in this series.
Fans will find out who Sookie chooses in Dead Ever After. For some this will be a welcome ending, for others (who are fans of which ever team Sookie doesn’t pick), it will be bitter-sweet. But recently, Charlaine Harris announced there would be a 14th book released in this series!
After Dead: What Came Next in the World of Sookie Stackhouse, will be available via Amazon and all other good book retailers from the 29th of October 2013. Amazon.com offers the following blurb:
Dead Ever After marked the end of the Sookie Stackhouse novels—a series that garnered millions of fans and spawned the hit HBO television show True Blood. It also stoked a hunger that will never die…a hunger to know what happened next.
With characters arranged alphabetically—from the Ancient Pythoness to Bethany Zanelli—bestselling author Charlaine Harris takes fans into the future of their favorite residents of Bon Temps and environs. You’ll learn how Michele and Jason’s marriage fared, what happened to Sookie’s cousin Hunter, and whether Tara and JB’s twins grew up to be solid citizens.
This coda provides the answers to your lingering questions—including details of Sookie’s own happily-ever-after…
The book will feature extensive interior art by acclaimed Sookie artist Lisa Desimini, including a Sookieverse Alphabet, color endpapers, and several full-page black and white interior illustrations.
While it appears that some parts will be laid out in a similar fashion to the previously released The Sookie Stackhouse Companion, it seems there will also be plenty of new stuff from the author as well.
Also, Charlaine Harris has announced on her website that signed copies of Dead Ever After can be purchased from certain locations. You can view the list here for the stores closest to you.
You can pre-order Dead Ever After and After Dead from Amazon by clicking the links above.
Also, an interview that Charlaine Harris did with USA Today’s Carol Memmott about the culmination of her Southern Vampire Mysteries series can be viewed here.

Fans Miss Jesus but Can Still Enjoy Kevin Alejandro’s Work in Two Exciting Projects
We loved Kevin Alejandro as Jesus Velasquez in HBO’s True Blood. His chemistry with Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette Reynolds) was delightful to watch, and his death left us saddened. While Mr. Alejandro’s return to True Blood was short-lived, we’re lucky that we get to see him each week as Christian Arroyo in ‘The Golden Boy’. Hopefully, his Kickstarter campaign will eventually achieve its funding goal and the superhero series, ‘The Keepers’, will make it into production.
Mr. Alejandro misses his fellow cast members from True Blood. He says that he and Mr. Ellis developed a genuine affection and friendship that translated to the screen. He auditioned for the part of Jesus several times, as the show runners searched for an actor who worked well with Mr. Ellis. Mr. Alejandro says that he has great respect for all of the actors in the True Blood cast. They take their work seriously, but once the cameras stop rolling, they know how to have a good time.
When he made his brief return to True Blood, Mr. Alejandro had just completed production of the pilot for ‘The Golden Boy’. When asked what attracted him to the role of Christian Arroyo, his answer was that the character was unlike any he had played before. The challenge is in making Christian likeable. Mr. Alejandro says this character is the most different from him, and contains less ‘Kevin’ than any part he’s played before.
While Mr. Alejandro’s Kickstarter project, “The Keepers’, didn’t reach its $30,000.00 funding goal by April 14th, we can hope that the balance of the required funding will be found somehow. This superhero based show was created by friends of Mr. Alejandro. They created a two-minute trailer to generate interest, and continue to try to secure funding.
If the writers of True Blood can find a way to bring Jesus back, Mr. Alejandro would be happy to return, and we’d be equally thrilled to have him.

German Fan Posts Ending Online:
While we have no idea who this fan is or how they obtained an early release copy of Dead Ever After, the results are still the same: the ending has been leaked online and now we all have the opportunity to find out who Sookie picks and how the series ends.
Charlaine Harris issued the following statement today on her Facebook page:
By now some of you know that a reader in Germany obtained a copy of DEAD EVER AFTER and decided to post the ending online. While this is unfortunate, I wanted to say this to all of you: Even if you *personally* are unhappy with the ending, please don’t spoil it for other readers. DEAD EVER AFTER goes on sale on May 7th; after that date, you are more that welcome to come here and tell me how much you like – or don’t like – the choices I’ve made for Sookie. But from one Sookie fan to another, I’m asking you all to please not spoil the book for other readers. Thank you so much for your continued support.
Here at TrueBloodNet.com, we fully support Charlaine Harris’ request and will not be spoiling the end or posting ANY links to sites that are displaying the ending of Dead Ever After. We also request that while fans are visiting TrueBloodNet.com, they refrain from mentioning the ending or any parts of book 13, Dead Ever After until AFTER May 7th.
Thanking you in Anticipation,
The staff at TrueBloodNet.com

‘True Blood’ Cookies Launched by HBO and Eleni’s New York Bakery:
With Season 6 of HBO’s True Blood only a couple of months away, fans are already starting to organize premiere parties. While Plasmapolitans, jell-o (a la Franklin’s crystal candy jar) and Sookie’s gran’s pecan pie are firm favorites, it looks like there is a new contender on the market.
Eleni’s New York bakery and HBO have announced their partnership – which means delicious True Blood-inspired cookies! While the Sex in the City cookies are already available, the True Blood ones (along with Game of Thrones-inspired ones) should be available in a couple of weeks.
Which True Blood character would you like to see on a cookie? Let us know in the comments below.

Kristin Bauer Talks About True Blood, Alexander Skarsgard & Saving Wildlife:
Everybody loves Pam the vampire from HBO’s True Blood. She’s bold, brassy and always ready to jump in at the deep end. PopSugar obviously love her if the parking space title for Kristin Bauer van Straten is anything to go by:
Kristin was happy to talk about being an actor and what it’s like being Pam:
“Pam is really harsh, but she’s really truthful in my mind. She says what we’re all thinking and I think that’s why she’s so entertaining.”
As for her co-star, Alexander Skarsgard, who plays her maker, Eric Northman, she has this to say about the rumors of him playing Christan Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie:
” Sure, I’ll watch Alex do anything…he can kill any role.”
Make sure you check out everything else Kristin had to say by watching the video below.
Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Could Eric Northman’s Undead Life be on the Line?
Okay, things are starting to get a little scary on HBO’s True Blood, if all the rumors flying about are to be believed!
Firstly, we have WetPaint speculating that with all the movie roles Alexander Skarsgard is taking on lately, there could be the possibility that he may request his character Eric Northman be killed off in Season 6.
While fans of the books are quick to point out that the Eric Northman character survives book 6 (Definitely Dead) and therefore should survive this season. Although, let’s face it, after last season, it’s become very clear that HBO are not following the Charlaine Harris’ story lines from her series very closely at all.
Next we have a couple of teasers from cast members:
“There are more deaths. Some favorite characters may not last.”
“There’s a lot of death. I’ve had sad read-throughs recently. “It’s too sad. Like, some people cried.”
Now, add into the mix the fact that the title of Episode 7 is ‘The Funeral’ and, potentially, we now have a lot to worry about – and Season 6 hasn’t even started yet!
Or is this just all hype to get fans (old and new) geared up for the next season? Could they possibly be stirring up the Team Eric Northman fanbase? I guess we’ll just have to wait until June to find out.
Let us know your thoughts on these rumors in the comments below.
