Eric Northman Gets a New Love Interest in True Blood Season 7!

And it’s not Sookie Stackhouse:

Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard)Many fans of HBO’s True Blood have been waiting six seasons for Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) to hook up for good. While Season 4 saw them take a brief meander through Romanceville, there has not yet been the ongoing relationship that was portrayed in the novels by Charlaine Harris that the TV series is based on. According to E!Online, it seems like a long term relationship will not be occurring in Season 7 either!

It has been reported that Eric will be getting a new love interest that goes by the name of Slyvie (or is that Sylvie, perhaps?). Either way, E!Online had the following to say about this mysterious new character:

Slyvie is a drop-dead gorgeous and can speak fluent French.

Yowsers! I wonder what Sookie will have to say about that? Or will she even care now that she is shacked up with Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello), Sheveport’s resident rogue werewolf? And why a French speaking woman? Considering Eric left us in the final episode of Season 7 as a sizzling vampire atop a mountain range somewhere in Sweden, it would make more sense he be rescued by a Swedish speaking woman. Oh, how the plot thickens!

True Blood’s Vampire James Actor Has Been Replaced

April 2, 2014

Luke Grimes Leaves Season 7 Due to ‘Creative Differences’:

Nathan Parsons will star as vampire James in HBO’s True Blood Season 7Many fans of HBO’s True Blood were excited to see Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) get James (Luke Grimes) as a new love interest, in Season 6. The fact that James was very easy on the eye was also applauded.

Nathan Parsons Grimes joined the cast of True Blood in order to work with Deborah Ann Woll (who he also co-stars with in Forever). Allegedly, once he read the scripts for True Blood Season 7, it seems he may have gotten cold feet. While Luke’s representative has declined to comment, a source who claims to be close to Luke Grimes reported the following to TVLine:

He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with Deborah Ann Woll. But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James.

While there has been no confirmation or denial of these remarks, the matter still remained: Luke Grimes requested he be released from his contract with HBO’s True Blood and that a replacement hunk had to found – and quickly!

It has now been conformed (once again by TVLine) that Nathan Parsons (of Bunheads and General Hospital fame) will be replacing Luke Grimes in the role of vampire James. Judging by the photo above, it looks like HBO have done a good job of replacing Grimes – but what do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
