VIDEO: Bailey Noble Stars in Priory Video Clip

September 6, 2014

Priory’s New Song, Weekend, Stars a True Blood Fairy:

Bailey Noble stars as Adilyn in HBOs True Blood Season 7 Credit Michael DAmbrosia

Fans of HBO’s True Blood and Portland’s electro-pop duo Priory are in for a treat with the following video clip. Weekend is the latest clip released by this band and includes Bailey Noble (who played Adilyn, the fairy daughter of Andy Bellefleur in True Blood) playing the part of a roller rink teen. Nick Krause (The Descendants) is dreaming about winning over Bailey’s affections via his slick roller skating moves – even if those moves only occur in his mind.

Recently, Priory’s Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears discussed the video clip with Idolator and had this to say about it:

We wrote and recorded the song ‘Weekend’ at our homebase, Loudwar studios in Portland, Oregon. The song idea came from the notion that everyone feels oppressed by an authority figure at some point in life. It could be a controlling parental figure, a boss at work or the unrealistic standard forced upon us by western culture. We use escapism to feel empowered (for better or worse), and it’s always been a part of our life. The video for ‘Weekend’ was directed by our friend, David Vincent Wolf AKA White Ghandi, and is about a kid’s over the top daydream. We had a great time hanging with Nick Krause and Bailey Noble. There was definitely some chemistry on set, just saying.

True Blood’s Anna Camp to Play a Villain Again

September 5, 2014

This Time She Will Be a Disney Villain, Rather Than an HBO One:

Anna Camp stars as Sarah Newlin in HBO's True BloodSarah Newlin (played by actress Anna Camp) was the villain of HBO’s True Blood that we all loved to hate. Over several seasons she would appear, disappear, reinvent herself, and then reappear all over again to cause havoc with the regular cast members of the vampire series. Now, with True Blood meeting the true death once and for all, it seems actress Anna Camp has set her sights on playing a new villain – a Disney villain!

Disney Junior’s Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy will hit our TV screens in November 2014 on the Disney channel. Anna will be the voice of Princess Ivy, a once exiled princess who is intent on turning the land of Enchancia from glorious color into bland and boring black and white.

You can check out the images of Anna Camp’s character and the movie poster for Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy below:

True Blood Church to Get a Makeover

September 4, 2014

Santa Paula’s First Christian Church to Get a New Coat of Paint:

The church featured in HBOs True Blood Season 7Santa Paula’s First Christian Church featured recently in Season 7 of HBO’s True Blood, and thanks to that, they can now afford to paint it! The church was built in 1900 in the Carpenter Gothic style and is a designated Ventura County Historical Landmark #81.

In Season 7 we saw Reverend Daniels (Gregg Daniel) and his wife, Lettie Mae (Adina Porter) welcome vampire Willa Burrell (Amelia Blaire Rose) into the church when she had nowhere else to live. It was also the meeting point when the Hep-V vampires overran Bon Temps. Lastly, it was a place Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) went to when seeking advice about the little problem she was having with Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) in Episode 10 (entitled Thank You).

Thanks to all this, the congregation of the First Christian Church now have to decide which color to paint it – white like it was or something a little different:

The surprise was the congregation voted for a gray-green trim, [only to discover during the power washing] a lot of layers down there was that gray-green color we decided on for the trim! At one time the whole church has been painted that color! We all found that fascinating.

Pastor Jenny Crosswhite had to say.

However, they had to wait for the paint job even though the funds were provided after the first time True Blood was filmed there, just in case HBO needed to film other events there before the Season 7 finale.

Kristin Bauer van Straten to Reprise ‘Once Upon a Time’ Role

September 3, 2014

True Blood’s Pam Returns to OUAT as Maleficent:

Kristin Bauer van Straten to return as Maleficent in ABC's Once Upon a TimeWhile we will not get the chance to hear another new snarky remark from True Blood’s Pam, for Once Upon a Time fans, they will get to see actress Kristin Bauer van Straten reprise her role of Maleficent once more on their show.

In Season 1 of Once Upon a Time, Maleficent was held captive in dragon form in a cave underneath the clock tower. Then, in the Season 1 finale, she was killed by Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison). She did return at the end of Season 2 – but this time in zombie form! Now, as Season 4 approaches, according to Entertainment Weekly, Maleficent could return as the villain after the Frozen storyline pans out. Her character will return for a big story arc, so there is the possibility for OUAT fans to see some back story crop up for Kristin’s character. There is also the suggestion more of Aurora’s history will be revealed in Season 4.

Once Upon a Time returns Sept. 28 at 8 pm ET on ABC.

3 Former Vampires Discuss Being on True Blood

September 3, 2014

Michael McMillian, Denis O’Hare and James Frain Weigh in on the True Blood:

3 True blood vampiresFor fans of HBO’s True Blood, there were three vampires on the show that were arguably discussed more than all the others: Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian), Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) and Franklin Mott (James Frain).

Steve was an anti-vampire religious zealot that was turned into a vampire and then came out to the world as not only being a vampire, but a gay vampire. Russell Edgington was the King of Louisiana who loved nothing more than to rip the beating heart out of newsreaders on national television.

Franklin, while his time was short on True Blood, was possibly the craziest of the three and had a unwanted crush on Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley) back when she was still a human. At that stage, Tara was very definitely anti-vampire, but, as we all know, was turned later on when she was shot. Frain had this to say about Tara being turned:

When Tara became a vampire, I was like, “Oh! Then we could have gotten married!” [Laughs] She was the one that got away! I just messed it up. I was too forward. I was too eager. I should have held back. But Franklin genuinely thought he was in love with Tara. He thought it was a legitimate elopement, and then couldn’t handle it. I think he needed quite a lot of therapy. Quite a lot.

The three actors got together recently to reminisce about their time on True Blood. Michael McMillian discussed how he is constantly being asked about who turned Steve into a vampire. He had this to say on the matter:

I would love to see how Steve became a vampire. It’s a question I get all the time, from fans and friends — will we ever get to find out who Steve’s maker is? I have my theories, though. In one script, in episode three of season five, it was going to be revealed that Salome was Steve’s maker. I think he gave her a hug, and she said, “As your maker, I command you to let go of me.” And then in a rewrite, that was taken out and the whole scene was changed, and that got lost, and it was never brought up again. So it was a mystery. I really wanted it to be Pam! [Laughs] There was a line when she was turning Tara, where she said she had done it once before and it didn’t work out, so she has another progeny we don’t know much about. So maybe during that year when Sookie was gone, she had to make Steve for some reason. [Laughs] But it doesn’t save Steve from being executed by Eric. I think it’s officially unofficial who Steve’s maker is.

As for Denis O’Hare, he still watches the show and even has an alternate ending for how he would have liked the show to finish:

I was catching up last night [before the Season 7 finale]. It’s a very weird magical world it creates. It feels like a version of reality that’s really warped …It would be great to have a really tacky ending, in which you suddenly go into Bellefleur’s, and a disco ball starts turning, and all the characters from the entire seven seasons suddenly start showing up and dancing. And you watch them all sort of dance with each other — Russell kind of sidles over and grabs Bill’s [Stephen Moyer] hand, and they do a little dance. And then Talbot [Theo Alexander] comes in and he points, “Whoa! You’re back!” And Franklin Mott walks in and everybody goes, “Franklin!” Something like that. A bad disco ending, I would take.

How would you describe your perfect alternate ending to HBO’s True Blood? Let us know by commenting below!
