Alexander Skarsgard’s Straw Dogs Delayed

March 23, 2010 by

Alexander Skarsgard is in the remake of Straw Dogs, which was supposed to come out in March 2011. Instead, the remake of the 1971 classic’s release date has been pushed to September 16, 2011, for reasons that are currently unknown. This is unfortunate news for all of us who were excited to see this remake and watch Alex show off his acting chops as a character besides vampire Viking Eric Northman.

However, I did notice something interesting about Straw Dogs and Alex‘s costars. One of them, James Marsden, has worked with yet another True Blood star! James played the lovable Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, in the X-Men trilogy alongside Anna Paquin, who was the beautiful and untouchable Rogue. How interesting is it to see the links behind the film and television industries in Hollywood!

I will wait as long as it takes. I’d like to see Straw Dogs and take him all in.

That sucks! I was an extra for Straw Dogs. Now I have to wait longer to see it. What is taking so long?

    • I wish I knew so that we could tell you!

Hi Louisianagirl29, me thinks that the scenes with Kate Bosworth are so bad that they are reshooting them, I cannot believe it involves the other actors scenes lol………………..

Yes it has been put back but we would all complain if the film is released and it is so bad, we know that there would be be an outcry about remaking it in the first place.

I believe the date was pushed back due to additional editing, but no official reason has been announced. It could also depend on what else is being released around that time, or it’s being pushed back to be fresher for the award season.
