Alfre Woodard is Set to Scare in ‘Annabelle’

Before The Conjuring There Was Annabelle:
Alfre Woodard (who starred as Lafayette’s mother, Ruby Jean Reynolds in HBO’s True Blood) is about to star as Evelyn in Annabelle. For fans of horror movies, you will remember Annabelle as that creepy doll in the 2013 movie based on a true story, The Conjuring. Well, it seems Annabelle has managed to unleash her demon-possessed soul in this new movie due for release on October 3rd in the US and October 10th in the UK and Australia. According to IMDb, the story line is as follows:
John Form has found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia – a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia’s delight with Annabelle doesn’t last long. On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind. The cultists have conjured an entity so malevolent that nothing they did will compare to the sinister conduit to the damned that is now… Annabelle.
I was lucky enough to score special advance screening tickets to this movie, so will be able to give you a full review on it next week. Meanwhile, here’s the movie trailer:
