The Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s motto is Think Big. Be Bold. Make Change. The organization has invested millions of dollars in nonprofits since 1987 to change the lives of women and girls in Colorado.

“The goal of the foundation is that every woman in Colorado is economically self-sufficient, and every girl in Colorado is on the path to economic self-sufficiency in adulthood. We believe that changes in public policy will have the greatest impact in assisting women in their efforts to achieve economic self-sufficiency.”

In November 2009 she worked with Michelle Obama to help initiate the First Lady’s national girls’ mentoring effort, appearing at the Governor’s Mansion and several Denver schools.
