Anna Paquin Speaks On Baring It All

anna-paquin-stephen-moyer-true-blood2-premiere2Anna Paquin who plays True Blood’s telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse recently spoke with Janet Mock from People.com on her work in HBO’s True Blood, and the intimate scenes with her costar and real life beau Stephen Moyer who plays vampire Bill Compton.

When asked about her intimate scenes Anna says:
“I feel fine.”  Although the way that people ask me about it all the time, I feel like maybe I should feel uptight about it.  But I really don’t.”

Personally, I think it’s funny and also noticed this is one of the most asked questions.  I don’t see Sookie and Bill’s intimate scenes together as just sex scenes, as much as they are love scenes.  Nudity would obviously be a part of that.  I also feel more folks comment on the sex than violence not that I have a problem with either if it is beneficial and helps bring the story to life.

Anna also says:
“shooting those steamy scenes with costar and real life boyfriend Stephen Moyer only makes it easier” and adds “I think that regardless of what kind of scene you’re doing, the better you know the person … the more open and real your performance can be,” she adds.  “And that goes for stunt scenes and heavy emotional ones.”

I think Anna’s simple statement in the article said it best, “It’s a sexy vampire show,”

What a lucky girl. I would believe that doing steamy scenes with Stephen would be so easy even if you are not dating him. He is beautiful, talented and a professional.
