True Blood’s Anna Paquin Wins her First Golden Globe!

On Sunday, January 11, 2009 the Golden Globe Awards were held in Los Angeles where Anna Paquin was up against Sally Field, Mariska Hargitay, January Jones, and Kyra Sedgwick for Best Actress in a TV Drama She won her first Golden Globe for her portrayal of Sookie Stackhouse on Alan Ball’s HBO “True Blood.” In her acceptance speech she stated that she had a wonderful cast and crew that she loved and of course she thanked Alan Ball.
