Carrie Preston is a Macon, Georgia native and will be screening her movie “Ready? OK!” on the evening of Saturday, February 21, 2009 at The Cox Capitol Theatre. The film follows a single mother trying to understand her son’s obsession with dresses, dolls and girl cheerleading along with the return of her wayward brother and the recent death of her absent father. All these trials and tribulations forces each one of them to question what it truly means to be a “family.”

“The mission of the Macon Film and Video Festival is to celebrate the art and craft of the moving image, and to give light to independent films, that rarely have the opportunity to appear in the Central Georgia region. MAGA is dedicated to entertaining, educating, and inspiring audiences and filmmakers alike by offering innovative and imaginative films both mainstream and independent in nature. The festival is open to filmmakers from every level, working in any medium and genre”.
