True Blood’s Youngest Vampire, Jacob Hopkins, to Appear on ABC’s ‘The Goldbergs’

October 7, 2013

Jacob Hopkins is Set to Get His Geek On:

Jacob Hopkins starred as Alexander Drew in HBO's True Blood Season 5Fans of HBO’s True Blood will remember Jacob Hopkins as the feisty perma-child Vampire Authority member Alexander Drew from Season 5. They will also remember his splattery demise when it was revealed he was not really an advocate of the popular mainstreaming movement being pushed by the Vampire Authority, he was, in fact, a secret Sanguinista. Once video evidence was revealed, it was time for Roman (Christopher Meloni) to do away with the perpetually 9 year old vampire.

Well, now the 11 year old actor is back on television! You can check him out in ABC’s The Goldbergs. He will be guest-starring as Chad Kremp, a character who is billed as being cool on the outside and pure geek on the inside – another chance for Jacob to play a double-sided character! There is also the opportunity for this role to expand and become a recurring one. Hopkins will first appear in Episode 107 when he becomes instant best friends with Adam (Sean Giambrone).

Besides his guest role in The Goldbergs, you can also check out Jacob in the Lifetime movie, Missing at 17, which will premiere on October 19th 2013. He has also recently been cast as the voice of Gumball Waterson in third season of Cartoon Network’s The Amazing World of Gumball due out in the spring of 2014.
