True Blood’s Natalie Hall Graces Cover of Fave Magazine

October 2, 2014

The Canadian Fashion Magazine Available from October 2014:

Natalie Hall on the cover of Fave magazineNatalie Hall may have only joined the cast of HBO’s True Blood for it’s final season, yet she went out with a bang, starring as resident villain Sarah Newlin’s (Anna Camp) newly turned vampire sister, Amber. Now, however, she is gracing the cover of the Canadian fashion magazine, Fave.

The actress (who is also Canadian) is nearly unrecognizable on the cover from the Hep-V infected vampire we saw in Season 7 recently. Besides appearing in the Marilyn Monroe-like photo shoot, she is also interviewed by the magazine. The cover was shot by New York fashion photographer Damien Kim with James R. Sanders styling and directing the shoot. James also interviewed Natalie Hall for the Fave magazine cover article. The hair stylist for this shoot is Kiyo Igarashi with Aya Kudo as the make up artist and Marina Iwakoshi as the manicurist.

Natalie Hall is not only known for her role of Amber in HBO’s True Blood but as Kate Randall in Pretty Little Liars and Colby Chandler in All My Children.

True Blood’s Mariana Klaveno in New TV Series ‘Stalker’

October 1, 2014

Mariana Klaveno Stars as Detective Janice Lawrence in New CBS Police Show:

Mariana Klaveno stars in TV series Stalker Credit Monty Brinton CBS Broadcasting IncFor fans of HBO’s True Blood, the name Mariana Klaveno is synonymous with the vampire Lorena and her obsession with her progeny Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). Now that Mariana has joined the cast of CBS’s new police show, Stalker, it appears she is now on the other side of the stalking game.

She stars as Detective Janice Lawrence alongside Dylan McDermott (who plays not only a stalker but a detective who is hunting down stalkers), Maggie Q and Gabriel Bateman. Stalkers follows two detectives from the LAPD’s Threat Assessment Unit as they investigate stalkers in Los Angeles. It is produced by Kevin Williamson (from the Scream franchise). The TV series premiered on the 1st of October 2014 to mixed reviews. For the squeamish in particular, it seems you may want to skip the opening scene to the pilot episode of this new drama. However, considering this new series is paired up with Criminal Minds, I am guessing that the audience will be of a type that is used to this kind of horror.

She is living out her days at an assisted living facility where she is frequently visited by her anxious, quick-witted daughter, Tess (Emery), and her kind, easygoing son-in-law, Jon (Wood). With the urging of Jon and the facility and despite Tess’ misgivings, a mysterious young man, Walter (Ward), joins the group with the hope that he can help reverse Marjorie’s decline. Through an ingenious series of shifting realities, Walter’s nature is revealed, and the family’s memories gently unfold into a cathartic meditation on life and loss, and the desire to keep our dearly departed with us.

Alfre Woodard is Set to Scare in ‘Annabelle’

September 24, 2014

Before The Conjuring There Was Annabelle:

Alfre WoodardAlfre Woodard (who starred as Lafayette’s mother, Ruby Jean Reynolds in HBO’s True Blood) is about to star as Evelyn in Annabelle. For fans of horror movies, you will remember Annabelle as that creepy doll in the 2013 movie based on a true story, The Conjuring. Well, it seems Annabelle has managed to unleash her demon-possessed soul in this new movie due for release on October 3rd in the US and October 10th in the UK and Australia. According to IMDb, the story line is as follows:

John Form has found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia – a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia’s delight with Annabelle doesn’t last long. On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind. The cultists have conjured an entity so malevolent that nothing they did will compare to the sinister conduit to the damned that is now… Annabelle.

I was lucky enough to score special advance screening tickets to this movie, so will be able to give you a full review on it next week. Meanwhile, here’s the movie trailer:
