Adam Weissler Talks to True Blood’s Music Director:
Hear what he has to say about True Blood’s Season 6 to ExtraTV.com’s Adam Weissler (“Extra’s” Senior Music Correspondent). True Blood’s Music Supervisor Gary Calamar also stops by for a chat.
Lowe and Calamar discuss what goes into choosing a song for True Blood. Calamar also talks about what happens when an episode title is changed at the last moment (since each episode title is named after a song). And exactly how does music placement in TV series, such as True Blood, helps music artists get their music sold – especially with how easy it is to download songs on iTunes? Find out in the interview below.
Make sure you listen to the end to find out how Terry Bellefleur will fare in True Blood’s Season 6!

Todd Lowe Spills The Beans on Terry Bellefleur:
- Terry and Arlene (Carrie Preston) will always have tough times ahead of them in HBO’s True Blood:
It’s never going to be simple times. We wouldn’t have good television, if it was. It would be a reality show.
- Andy Bellefleur’s (Chris Bauer) faery children will have an effect on Terry in Season 6 – whether this is a magical one or not is yet to be been! This impact will become more apparent in the second half of Season 6.
- Terry still has unresolved residual feelings about killing Patrick (Scott Foley) in Season 5.
- Speaking of Patrick – that Ifrit story line may just not be completely done with yet…it may be dead, but there is no simple life ahead for Terry.
- Arlene is the best-looking redhead Terry has ever seen – and possibly she is the best thing for him too!

True Blood’s Season 6 Premiere Kicked Off In a Big Way:
For those of you who may have missed the live social media event hosted by HBO prior to the Season 6 True Blood Premiere, HBO has posted all the Q&A’s on their HBO Connect website! For the first time ever our favourite cast members appeared live on the set of Fangtasia to answer fans burning questions. True Blood’s Season 6 is sure to come with many ups and downs…check out some of my favourite questions, and hit the link to the HBO site for full Q&A details! Or you can check out the actual You Tube video if you have 15 minutes to burn!
Q (For all cast members): Without giving too much away are there any scenes in Season Six that made you cry in real life?
A): This is a season that takes its toll on the humans for sure.
Q(For Alex) 1st Season Eric was evil, then amnesia Eric wasn’t – do you think THIS SEASON’s Eric is a nice mix of the both, or more evil?
A): I’d say the old Eric is pretty much back. But the Amnesia changed him fundamentally, and he’ll always carry that experience within.
Q): Who does the best impression of other characters on True Blood?
A): Chris Bauer: Without a doubt the best mimic on our set, and in my opinion most underrated actor, is Sammy Trammell. If anyone wants to have a conversation with Alexander Skarsgard, and he can’t be there, just have Sam imitate him instead. It’s uncanny.

Filming Under Way for True Blood Season 6
Even though the scenes being filmed were all interior shots of the fabulous Bellefleur home, sightings of some of the stars still occurred. Carrie Preston (Arlene), Todd Lowe (Terry Bellefleur) and Chris Bauer (Andy Bellefleur) were all happy to smile and wave at onlookers as they entered and exited the house.
All the photos can be seen here.
Wonder what this story line will entail in Season 6?

Todd Lowe Answers Fan Questions About Season 5:
Recently, Bon Temps’ resident Army vet answered some fan questions on Uinterview.com. One fan asked what he thinks is going to happen with Terry and Arlene‘s relationship. According to Lowe, while he can’t predict the future since that is up to the writers, he believes “in his heart that Terry loves Arlene and he’s going to hold her as close as he can.” Aww! That Terry is so sweet!
Another fan asked if Lowe has had to play Terry differently since he’s started a family with Arlene. Lowe indicates that since meeting Arlene and starting a family, the “storm in his mind” has passed, but “maybe we’re just in the eye of the hurricane.” Hmm, foreshadowing much? Watch the video below to see his answers to these and other fan questions!

It Gets Physical, But It’s Not What You Think:
New to the cast of HBO’s True Blood for the upcoming season 5 is Scott Foley (Felicity, Grey’s Anatomy). Foley plays Patrick, former platoon commander of Terry Bellefleur (Todd Lowe). The two embark on a storyline that has them tracking down former members of the platoon in order to resolve a mysterious event that took place in Iraq, and continues to haunt Terry.
Whatever that mission is, Foley says it does not involve nudity or sexual adventures for either Patrick or Terry. While the storyline requires a great deal of physicality – running, jumping and fighting – it’s all done completely clothed.
“Something happened between the two of them in Iraq that needs to be dealt with. I can’t say what it is. It has nothing to do with vampires or werewolves. But there is a mission that they need to complete.”
Foley suspects that at least part of the reason he gets to keep his clothes on, is that both Patrick and Terry are completely human; not a common condition for characters in True Blood. Because of the large number of supernatural beings that are in the popular HBO show, Foley says that the first thing he’s asked when he discusses his role is what his character is. He assures us that Patrick is indeed, 100% human.
“I’m not a vampire, I’m not a werewolf, I’m not a werepanther, I’m not a fairy, I’m not a shapeshifter. I’m just a guy coming into town trying to finish something he started back in Iraq.”
What do you think, Trubies? What could this mysterious mission be? Just under two weeks until the Season 5 premiere!

A Truebie Encounter with Todd Lowe:
Our friend @ArleneFowler shares her recent experience with us:
This past week, I went to see Todd Lowe in ‘Day Drinkers’ at the Odyssey Theatre in LA, and was fortunate enough to catch him alone in the lobby after the show. He was quite personable and graciously chatted with me and my friends. In the course of the conversation, he told us he had a ‘gig’ that night. Well, we already knew that and told him we planned to follow him to Villains Tavern on Palmetto Street where The LA Hootenanny would be playing on the first of a two-night ‘Dark Halloween Party’.
So off we went to make our way through some pretty bad traffic to a rather seedy part of downtown Los Angeles. After getting lost a few times, and almost ready to give up, we stumbled upon a kind LA policeman who offered to escort us to the right street. The stage is open-air, and we could hear Todd singing as we approached from several blocks away.
I must say that I didn’t expect Todd Lowe and The LA Hootenanny to be as good as they were. They were wicked awesome! Todd plays guitar and did most of the vocals; he was dressed for the occasion in a black Halloween jacket with pumpkins on the lapel and guess what… no zombie make-up! The show was an absolute ‘hoot’. Apparently the band consists of a revolving group of musicians but frankly, all I cared about was seeing Todd Lowe from True Blood. (He’s almost as handsome as @TerryBellefle! *wink, wink*)
The whole evening was pretty awesome! Being there for a Halloween party with Todd Lowe and The LA Hootenanny was a blast and a really good time.
Many thanks to @ArleneFowler for the submission! Remember Truebies, if you have any True Blood related news, send it our way!
