One of Our Very Own is Stepping Out:
The entire cast of the X-Men: Days Future and Present appeared in front of screaming fans at this past weekend’s Comic Con in San Diego. Our very own Anna Paquin who plays Faerie Princess Sookie Stackhouse was among the cast members to show their support at the 2013 Comic Con. Though, she was not alone..”Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McEvoy, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Hugh Jackman and others made for an impressive panel”
We look forward to seeing and supporting Anna in this new and different role…though she will always be Sookie Stackhouse to us Truebies!

Sookie tells it like it is in Season 6 of True Blood:
Access Hollywood was on site at Comic Con 2013 to talk with the stars of the shows. HBO’s True Blood, is always a favourite though and this conversationw with Anna Paquin, one of the original cast who has been in all of the 6 seasons, was quite enlightening!
First questions is usually about the baby body, and how did she get back her figure?!
“Its been an intense year, and I’m very naked on our show, so I had babies over the hiatus so that’s why I don’t look like I had babies over Hiatus.” Anna shrugs.
Anna gets naked alot with the new co-star Rob Kazinsky
“It’s always fun getting new blood, pardon the pun. He’s really wonderful … it’s always fun to have new people to play with.”
Did you have to coach Rob through the nude scenes, because he’s naked a lot!
“Nah, it’s like ripping a band aid off… usually someone in the first week gets their clothes taken away from them and it’s like, welcome to True Blood!”
In Season 6 we are seeing a bit of a return to old school True Blood, don’t you think?
“The show has grown and changed and gone from sort of taking on the global issues and the world, and now coming back to the small town and the central aspects of what the show is about… its exciting to be a part of a show that has these sort of phase of storytelling and I’m so excited to still be here.”
And with Season 7 just having been announced, how do you feel?
“Really excited… Especially when you consider I didn’t even know if the pilot was going to be picked up. When I first saw the script I thought either I’m on crack or this is the best thing I’ve ever read!”
When she was asked about the fact that Alexander Skarsgard was not there does that mean anything??
Anna replied: “I would obviously not be allowed to answer that. ”
Since we know there are going to be deaths in this season, I guess what we, as the audience, want to know is, it going to be shocking, will we need tissues or therapy?!
“We generally make some people angry, some people happy and some people cry. And that’s just pretty much what we go for.”
So at the halfway point of the season, what can we expect to see?
“Daddy dearest wanted to drown me… um, whoops! Bit of a life changer there…. The last shred of feel good about yourself is gone! The former love of her life is not so awesome right now… more like at the throwing plates at each other’s heads stage, not the lets curl up and have a cuddle stage… she and Eric, are just not going to work right now, there is a lot of love, but it’s wrong place wrong time… with a lot of stuff going on, well, it’s got to be resolved.”
Hoping the resolution comes soon. Waiting sucks! But in the meantime, you can view the video in its entirety below:

True Blood Unleashes on Comic Con 2013:
The 2013 Comic Con was a buzz with True Blood Cast and fans this past weekend in San Diego! TvLine caught up with several of our recurring and newer cast members with the hopes that the True Blood Cast would spill on the remainder of the season!
Kristin Bauer van Straten, Deborah Ann Woll, Anna Camp, Michael McMillian, and Joe Manganiello participated in the interview!
When asked “Who will give the Season finale tease?” Michael McMillian replied “Game Changer”. Joe Manganiello, added that while during the season the cast mates felt that they were filming on entirely different TV shows, “by the end, it is one show”.
I don’t know about the rest of you Truebies but I’m very excited to see how this season plays out…and I’m really hopeful that Michael is right and that a major “game changer” comes our way!

True Blood Cast Represents at Comic Con:
It appears that the 2013 Comic-Con was yet again a success for the True Blood cast and fans! Even though our two favourite male vamps were absent( Alexander Skarsgard, and Stephen Moyer) the panel pulled through with lots of insight on the remainder of the season! The panel included Anna Paquin, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Nelsan Ellis, Deborah Ann Woll, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Joe Manganiello, Anna Camp, Michael McMillian and Rob Kazinsky. The True Blood Panel was moderated by TV Guides Kate Hahn.
The True Blood segment kicked off with a video clip of teasers for the 2nd half of the current Season 6. Truebloodnet.com has posted this video if you are eager to check it out!
Here are a few favourite questions and responses:
“Ryan Kwanten on Jason’s “noble” quest to find his parents’ killer – “There’s a lot more in store for Jason – he gets real crazy, real soon. He likes to think he’s Rambo, but fails miserably!”
Deborah Ann Woll on Jessica’s self loathing following season six’s dark twists: “Jessica’s going to have to pay dearly within her own heart for what happened – it’s going to take a long time for her to forgive herself.”
True Blood newbie Rob Kazinsky is bowled over by the reception he’s getting from Comic-Con fans. He also promises we’ll get both light and dark from Warlow this season. “You’re going to see some gnarly stuff!”
Buckner promises that True Blood will “return to its roots” at the end of this season, returning focus to its core characters: “We’re really going to make it feel like we’re coming home.”

True Blood Season 6 Goes Back to It’s Roots:
With Season 5 of HBO’s favorite vampire series, True Blood, fans were beginning to question how long the show would last. The story lines were complicated and with so many new characters arriving all the time, it seemed many fans were left scratching their heads in bewilderment.
Well, it seems that Brian Buckner has heard everyone’s pleas to return to the golden age of True Blood Season 1 and had the following to say at Comic-Con this weekend:
I feel like this show is ultimately about the relationships between vampires and humans and it’s about this town, and I actually want to bring it in. My hope is to get all these people we love living under the umbrella of one story and one threat.
This one comment bought cheers from the True Blood audience. But wait, there’s more! When asked about the True Blood Season 6 finale, he reiterated his stance on the show:
You’re going to feel that the show is going to return back to its roots and be about this gang of people living in Bon Temps. We’re going to try and condense the number of stories we’re telling and really make this feel like we’re going home.
With so many fans proclaiming that True Blood Season 6 is fast becoming the show’s best season yet, it seems that Brian Buckner is right on the money!

Want Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) to Sign it For You?
Truebie fans are in for a treat if they are attending Comic-Con on Friday July 19th – Steve Newlin actor Michael McMillian will be there! Make sure you get in early though and pick up your merchandise beforehand and then head on over to Autograph Area #19 between 12:00pm-1:30pm in order to get your True Blood gear signed.
Michael McMillian is particularly eager to sign your pre-order copy of True Blood: A Field Guide to Vampires. This book is co-authored by McMillian and series associate producer Gianna Sobol.
And I must say, this book sounds hilarious! Firstly, it’s Steve Newlin’s journal (from back in the days when he was a god-fearing human). In it he has scribbled down everything he knows about Bon Temps’ Creatures of Satan. As if that wouldn’t be funny enough, it appears Eric Northman has gotten his hands on it and then proceeded to deface and correct it for the good Reverend!
The other new True Blood book, True Blood Bites & Drinks, will also be available at Comic-Con. If you haven’t already picked up you copy, you can do so by heading over to the Chronicle Books booth #1506.
Let us know if you are attending Comic-Con this year and whether you got to meet the awesome Michael McMillian by commenting below.
