Scott Foley as “Patrick”, Terry’s Army Buddy:
Todd Lowe, Terry Bellefleur on True Blood, has been acting with a creepy baby and creepy baby doll all season and he is looking forward to working with adults again. There will be a whole lot of drama going down between vampires, witches, shifters and werewolves this Sunday on the Season 4 finale. Somewhere in the middle of that we will be introduced to a new character, Patrick played by actor Scott Foley, an old army buddy of Terry’s. Lowe explains why he [Patrick] is coming to Bon Temps now:
“He looked [Terry] up. He found him and I guess he has something to say and something to talk about. You don’t just wander in and find someone at their workplace unless you have something important to share with him.”
Their encounter will not be a long one, Lowe reveals, and from what he says above it will take place at Merlotte’s. Foley‘s character is expected to return in Season 5 in a more substantial role. Lowe hopes that this character’s entrance into the series means that True Blood’s audience will get to know more about Terry’s past, maybe see some flashbacks of his time in the war. Lowe said about Terry’s past:
“I’d like to see where his post-traumatic stress disorder came from. Was it a series of events? Was it a friend or life that was lost in front of him? Was it someone’s life that he took? I’d like to see where that goes and see why Terry is so screwed up… I have a feeling it’s going to go kind of dark. I got a hint from Alan Ball that we’re going to see a little darker side to Terry.”
The season finale will take place during Halloween. Lowe’s response to this spooky setting for the finale:
“Wouldn’t you think it’d be just a little bit anticlimactic with all this other stuff going on? But I guess the people of Bon Temps find a way to celebrate the Halloween Holiday.”
We are mere days away from the finale of Season 4, but what about Season 5 and all it will have in store for Terry Bellefleur? Are you exited to see Terry’s character grow and learn more about his past? Will the arrival of Patrick bring conflict to Terry’s life? Is it possible this old war buddy is a supernatural? Share you ideas and theories with us in the comments section below.

We Say Goodbye to a Character:
During episode nine of season 4, titled “Let’s Get Out of Here”, Tommy Mickens (Marshall Allman) who plays Sam Merlotte’s (Sam Trammell) brother, again shifts into Sam. He is able to “skinwalk” because he killed his parents. We found out that could happen from Luna, Sam’s love interest. Her mother died giving birth to her, and she shifted into her mother once. Tommy shifts into Sam to protect him from werewolf pack leader Marcus, who was married to Luna. Tommy as Sam goes to meet Marcus, and when he arrives there are other pack members, along with Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello). After some heated words, all the werewolves (except Alcide) proceed to beat the living daylights out of Tommy. After several blows, Tommy turns back into himself. Marcus becomes alarmed, and Alcide picks Tommy up and leaves. During the last episode, “Burning Down the House”, Alcide wants to take Tommy to the hospital, but Tommy declines, sensing that he’s not going to make it, and prefers to go home instead. They arrive at Merlotte’s the same time as Sam, who is frantic, and wants to get him some vampire blood to save him. Tommy declines, knowing he is dying, and having come to terms with it. Inside, the brothers share some last words, and a tender moment, seeming to work through their issues. Sam sheds some tears, and Tommy dies.
We’re sorry to see Marshall go, he played his character well. Here is a small photo tribute to Tommy:

A War Veteran Named Patrick:
Foley will play the role of Patrick, Terry Bellefleur’s platoon leader from when they served in Iraq together.
Now, fans of Grey’s Anatomy may be a little concerned about the upcoming prominent supporting role Foley will play in Season 5 of True Blood. Will he have to turn down his recurrent role on Grey’s? Well, you need not worry, the filming schedules of both shows are different, so he will be able to maintain both roles.
So how do you think Terry will react to Patrick showing up? Let us know once you check out the video!

Spoiler Alert: Eric and Sookie!
Well, what an episode this one was! Fans of the Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) relationship were in for a treat. It started with that kiss at the end of the previous episode. We spent all week wondering what would follow in the opening scene of the new episode. And good on Alan Ball to drag that anticipation out even longer – right to the end of the episode, in fact!
While we all hated Bill (Stephen Moyer) at the start of this episode, there were a couple of tender moments that made our hearts melt for Sookie’s first beau. When Eric uttered the words: “Tell her I was born the night she found me,” we started to melt for Eric, but then when we saw the look on Bill’s face when Eric uttered the words: “After I’m gone, I hope you’ll find your way back to each other… because she deserves happiness,” there was no way we, as an audience, could hold complete malice for Bill. Bill letting Eric go, even at the expense of losing Sookie forever, was the icing on the cake.
So what did you think of Episode 6?

Besides the episode spoilers, Inside TV recently reported that Rutina Wesley had been hinting at conflict between all the supernatural characters on True Blood:
“When you’ve got shifters and werewolves and vampires and witches, there’s bound to be some tension. There’s going to be some craziness this season, and because her best friend is Sookie, Tara is going to get swept back into everything. But I can’t tell you whose side she’s going to be on.”
So all is not yet sweet between besties Tara and Sookie either. It will certainly be interesting to see how it all pans out.

The Cast and Alan Ball Answer Moderator and Audience Questions:
The True Blood cast came out on stage at Comic–Con to rousing applause and it’s clear from these videos, there were many die-hard fans in the room. Many spoilers were announced and teasers were uncovered. The panel included: Anna Paquin (Sookie), Stephen Moyer (Bill), Ryan Kwanten (Jason), Rutina Wesley (Tara), Alexander Skarsgård (Eric), Kevin Alejandro (Jesus), Kristin Bauer (Pam), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette), Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica), and Alan Ball.
A few juicy bits gleamed from these videos:
- Rutina Wesley “secretly loves the UFC”.
- When an audience member asked if Eric will remember his time with Sookie, Alan replied: “I feel like that’s too much to give away…no, yes, maybe” Of course, the one question we all wanted answered!
- When asked if there was any hope for Bill and Sookie the audience started to cheer, but it quickly turned to boos.
- Anna takes you through the “sausage party” that consisted of her, Joe and Alexander filming the scene at the lake – minus the clothes for the men.
- The panel is asked what their favorite parts of the season have been so far – some answers might surprise you!
- The Comic-Con panel contains actors from many nations and it’s apparent when the audience starts asking questions that they are just as multinational.
- My favorite question of the night was to Alexander Skarsgård: “What in his (Eric’s) history created such a straight up badass?”
- The most interesting bit of news came from an audience member who asked if the show keeps up the pace it has with the books (a book a season). How long will this show stay on the air? Alan’s response: “As we get further down the road less and less, this season is based on the book…I think the show has a tremendous amount of life. I hope to get to the point where it becomes a problem for us in the writers room why the vampires are aging.”
- Noticable absences were Sam Trammell home expecting his baby twins, and Joe Manganiello who is working on a film project.
There is so much more to see in these videos. Check them out and tell us what questions you would have asked, or what answer you would have liked to hear!

Will it Happen?
There has been plenty of speculation from True Blood fans about the infamous shower scene that occurs in book four, Dead to the World, by Charlaine Harris. Will it happen, or won’t it? Fans of the books have been more than a little concerned that the scene would be dropped from the HBO series since Sookie (Anna Paquin) has already been involved in another hot shower scene in Season 3, involving her ex, Bill Compton (played by real-life husband, Stephen Moyer).
Well, it can now be revealed that Alan Ball has this to say about the relationship between Sookie, Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and that scene:
“There is a shower scene. But it is not a direct re-enactment of the shower scene in the book. It goes to a slightly different place. Sookie and Eric are in the shower together. Everybody who’s been waiting for Sookie and Eric to hook up, this will be a very good season for them.”
Then, at Comic-Con 2011, he followed up with:
“There will be a moment in the show when Sookie and Eric will be in a shower. It may not be exactly what happened in the books. It may be weirder and dirtier.”
Now fans of the books are left wondering what is weirder than using the term ‘Mr. Happy’ to describe a part of Eric’s anatomy and refering to Sookie’s breasts as “quivering like puppies who wanted to be petted”?
What do you think the shower scene will be like?

Exciting Things to Come?
Joe Manganiello (Alcide) was recently interviewed by New York magazine. He had a lot to say about his workout regime, his True Blood role, high school and of course more True Blood! Just because he is finished filming this season of True Blood does not mean that he can relax. He was recently cast in What to Expect When You’re Expecting, alongside Jenifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz.
Workouts are a necessity when you spend most of your screen time with your shirt off. Manganiello’s trainer, Ron Mathews also works with Hugh Jackman. But Manganiello doesn’t starve himself stating:
“I’m allowed to eat anything I want, ’cause I’m a man. I choose not to, because I’m disciplined about my job.”
Captain of his high school basketball, football and volleyball teams, Manganiello has always been ruggedly manly. He talks about the more artistic side that he says was “pushed aside” growing up in western Pennsylvania. You would think this future werewolf stud would have had girls lining up around the block for him, but he didn’t even go to his prom! Instead he went to see a re-release of Blade-Runner. He relates this back to Alcide saying:
“I guess I identify with Alcide that way. I didn’t really see eye-to-eye with the jocks… I was somewhere in the middle.”
Season of the witches has been the theme of Season 4 and the werewolves are not immune to their influence. Manganiello said that their “actions trickle down”. He also stated that shape shifters and werewolves are going to “butt heads big time”. Perhaps a Sam/Alcide showdown is in the future?
We’ve all wanted to see more of Alcide and everyone’s been wondering if he and Sookie will ever hook up. Manganiello’s response:
“I really do believe – and some of the producers and writers agree with me – if Sookie didn’t disappear, Alcide would’ve built that house for her. As you can see in episode three, Alcide is obviously worried. The way the door was answered, he wanted to kiss her! Being a werewolf, he’s had to stomp on a lot of his impulses. All I can say is when anybody continually stomps on impulses, there’s going to be a reaction. What’s amazing this season is that you see those emotions and physical reactions.”
A werewolf bottling up his emotions sounds like a ticking time bomb! Can’t wait to see how this plays out.
Manganiello has said that he gets naked a lot this season, but five episodes in we’ve hardly seen any nakedness. His response:
“Everyone has to take their turn, and it’s just my turn. Yes, there is some nudity, and you’re gonna see some werewolf sex here.”
Exactly who will be having that werewolf sex? We aren’t sure, but we will be tuned in to find out.
Do you think there is any hope for Alcide and Sookie? Share your theories and ideas with us in the comment section.

The Sexy Stars of True Blood Q&A at Comic-Con:
The cast of True Blood made their appearance at Comic-Con this past weekend and looked good doing so! Many of the cast members, as well as creator Alan Ball, were there and took part in the discussion. Fortunately for us, many of the questions we have regarding Season 4 were answered or at least alluded to! (Click here to see pictures of the cast at Comic-Con)
Jason/Jessica/Hoyt Possible Love Triangle?
One of the most burning questions after last week’s episode was: What will happen between Jessica and Jason now that Jason has ingested her blood? Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica) was the first to comment suggesting that she’s more interested to see what will happen to Jason once the effects of the V wear off. Jason’s ceremonial werepanther rape scenes were also a topic for discussion. Ryan Kwanten (Jason) joked that he felt Jason might have actually enjoyed being called “ghost daddy.” Kwanten also stated that filming those scenes was quite the challenge for him, considering he was only able to use his face in order to act them out.
The Origin of Eric’s New Attire?
Perhaps one of the more humorous discussions was the topic of Eric’s new wardrobe upon his unexpected arrival at Sookie’s place. Alexander Skarsgård (Eric) suggested that his new choice of attire more than likely wasn’t Jason’s but could possibly be something that Hoyt might have left behind at some point in time. Skarsgård joked:
“It’s the mystery of the season.”
while Alan Ball added that it was a “really dorky outfit,” but one that Skarsgård could wear “and still be insanely hot.” I must admit, I second that notion!
What Will Come of Bill & Portia’s Relationship?
When the topic of Bill’s incestuous relationship with Portia Bellefleur (Courtney Ford) was brought up, Stephen Moyer joked that it would have probably been a good idea for Bill to have “gone to the local library,” and then added, “maybe it wasn’t open at night.” Moyer reassured the crowd that Bill and Portia will see each other again but that at the moment, “Bill has bigger fish to fry.”
Pam’s Appalling New Look:
Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam) discussed the current state of her morbid appearance and how time-consuming the process was to look that convincing. She added that one way they achieved her dreadful appearance included a mixture of tapioca pudding and coffee grinds. When asked whether or not we would get to see how and why Eric created Pam, his progeny, Ball was quick to answer no. He added that we’ll “definitely see it in Season 5.”
Is Baby Mikey Evil?
Another pressing topic was that of baby Mikey. Is something wrong with him or is it that dreaded doll that keeps showing up? Is René’s evil spirit haunting Arlene? When asked if we would find out what exactly is going on with Arlene’s baby, Ball answered:
“Yes, we will find out, and it’s something really creepy.”
There you have it folks, straight from the usually-more-cryptic horse’s mouth. Is this going to be a good season, or what?
