VIDEO: True Blood Season 7 Episode 9 (Love is to Die) Sneak Peek #2

August 15, 2014

Arlene Offers Sookie Some Advice:

Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO's True Blood Season 7 Episode 9 (entitled 'Love is to Die') Here’s the penultimate sneak peek #2 clip of HBO’s True Blood ever! In Episode 9 (ominously entitled Love is to Die) of True Blood Season 7, we find Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and Arlene Fowler (Carrie Preston) deep in conversation at Bellefleur’s (formerly known as Merlotte’s) about loss, grief and how to move on. It seems Sookie has admitted that she never fully committed to her relationship with Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello) because of the feelings she still had for vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).

The question is though, is Sookie and Arlene having this chat because Bill has already succumbed to Hep-V?

Synopsis:

Sookie Stackhouse retreats in confusion. Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) makes a choice. Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) exercises uncharacteristic restraint, while Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) faces a dilemma after being caught in a lie.

VIDEO: True Blood’s Anna Camp on Being a Fourth Grade Drug Dealer

August 14, 2014

Anna Camp’s First Acing Gig Was as a Drug Dealer!

Anna Camp stars as Sarah Newlin in HBO's True Blood Season 7 Episode 3 (entitled 'Fire in the Hole')True Blood’s Anna Camp (who plays Sarah Newlin in the HBO vampire series) has been acting for a long time. But in this hilarious video interview she did with Conan O’Brien recently, she talks about her very first acting gig – that of a drug dealer! She was only in the fourth grade, but the school decided a stage production on the dangers of drugs would be a great way to get the discussion started on the war against drugs.

Anna lets us know what a fourth grade drug dealer would wear to be totally ‘hardcore’ while selling bags of jellybeans. As well as that she discusses the fact that she always seems to play the villain and just how cathartic it is to act out pummeling someone to death with a shoe.

True Blood Season 7 Spoilers: Direct From Stephen Moyer!

August 14, 2014

Stephen Moyer Spills the Beans on Sookie, Sam Plenty More:

Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) gets cozy with Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) in HBO's True Blood Season 7 Episode 8 (entitled 'Almost Home')For fans of HBO’s True Blood there is plenty of questions still needing answered with only two short episodes left in Season 7 to fulfill them all. But what if Stephen Moyer were to help you out a bit? What if he spilled the beans on what happens in True Blood’s final hours?

It would be awesome right?

What is even more awesome than that is the spoof video Stephen Moyer (who plays main character, Bill Compton) did on the Conan O’Brien show recently.

Yes, that’s right, these aren’t real spoilers. Stephen hasn’t had a fight with HBO and is letting the proverbial cats out of the bag. Instead, this is Stephen’s version of how True Blood were to end if he had a chance to write the ending himself.

What is the craziest ending you can come up with for Sookie (Anna Paquin) and the rest of the crew in Bon Temps and Shreveport? Let us know by commenting below!

True Blood Music: You’ll Never Guess Which Song Nearly Didn’t Make it!

August 13, 2014

True Blood’s Music Supervisor Gary Calamar Spills the Beans:

True Blood Season 3 Cast PhotoFor fans of HBO’s True Blood, the iconic song (Bad Things by Jace Everett) that rolls out across the screen along with the opening credits for each episode of the show is just as important as the actual episode! But what if that song had never made the cut? Would the show still have the same vibe? After all, there was recently a mock up Cheer’s version of True Blood released – could you imagine if that had been the opening credits all along?

Well, according to the show’s music supervisor, Gary Calamar, Bad Things was only meant to be a ‘filler’ until a better song came along – but, of course, nothing did:

It was supposed to be kind of placeholder — I had some other ideas — and then it ended up sticking. I think it really provides a great template for the rest of the show.

But there we other songs that never did actually make the cut. Calamar was particulary saddened to see a collaboration with Jenny Lewis to do a cover of The Animals classic Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, when the season had to be shorted to accommodate a pregnant Anna Paquin (who plays main character, Sookie Stackhouse). He was relieved to see the song did eventually make it onto the soundtrack though.

For Gary, each episode’s song choices begin for him when the script is sent to him. Considering each episode is named after a song title, this is his starting point for his musical choices for the rest of the episode.

But what are his favorite song choices so far? You can view his list below:

Sookie Stackhouse:
The Watson Twins – “Just Like Heaven”

Don Covay & The Jefferson Lemon Blues Band – “Sookie Sookie”

Bill Compton
The Marvelettes – “Don’t Mess With Bill”

Eric Northman
Rob Zombie – “I’m Your Boogie Man”

Jason Stackhouse
Zac Brown – “Chicken Fried”

Sam Merlotte
The Byrds – “One Hundred Years From Now”

Lafayette Reynolds
The Dramatics – “What You See Is What You Get”

Jessica Hamby
Taylor Swift – “Haunted”

Madonna – “Like A Virgin”

Alcide Herveaux
X – “Hungry Wolf”

Sarah Newlin
Sammy Kershaw – “Louisiana Hot Sauce”

Maryann Forester (the Maenad)
PJ Harvey – “To Bring You My Love”

VIDEO: True Blood’s Sarah Newlin Talks Nudity

August 13, 2014

Anna Camp Talks to Conan O’Brien About Awkward Broadway Nudity:

Anna Camp stars as Sarah Newlin in HBO's True BloodRecently Anna Camp (who plays Hep-V antidote Sarah Newlin in HBO’s True Blood Season 7) chatted to Conan O’Brien about nudity – in particular, acting and being nude in front of your parents. True Blood is notorious for the amount of flesh it displays in each episode, that goes without saying, but how do you react to your parents watching your work on a show like True Blood? For Anna, it was the orgy scenes in Season 2 that got her grandmother to stop watching, but, for her parents, who had already seen her naked on stage before, it wasn’t so much of a big deal to them.

But what if people are bringing binoculars and whipping out cameras when you are performing naked on stage? How does one ever prepare themselves for that sort of exposure? Check out the video below to find out what Anna Camp thinks about this issue:

True Blood: Find Out What Bill Has to Say About Hoyt & Jessica

August 13, 2014

Jessica Hamby’s Latest Video Blog Features Her Maker:

Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) and Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) chat about love in HBO's True Blood Season 7True Blood’s Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) has released her latest video blog! It’s yet another melancholy one though as she tries to get some video footage of her her maker, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) before he meets his true death from his accelerated case of Hep-V.

Bill wakes up half way through her blog entry after he dreamed he had heard Hoyt Fortenberry (Jim Parrack). For all of us who watched Episode 8 of HBO’s vampire show last Sunday, we know Bill wasn’t dreaming, and Jessica confirms that for him. This leads to a discussion on love. Not only is Hoyt and Jess’s relationship touched upon, but the relationship between Bill and his human wife, Caroline.

VIDEO: True Blood Season 7 Episode 9 (Love is to Die) Sneak Peek

August 11, 2014

Bill Remains Resolute in His Decision:

Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) says no in HBO's True Blood Season 7 Episode 9 (entitled 'Love is to Die')Well it appears Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) can be as stubborn as a mule when it comes to deciding when he will die. After refusing to take a sip of Sarah Newlin’s (Anna Camp) restorative blood at the end of Episode 8 (entitled Almost Home), it seems Bill will be sticking to his guns in Episode 9 (entitled Love is to Die) of HBO’s True Blood Season 7.

As for the others still left in Bon Temps, Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten), Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll), Hoyt Fortenberry (Jim Parrack) and Bridgette all seem to have issues to sort out yet. Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is seen flying off with what appears to be Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) is all bound up again.

Will Bill really meet the true death? Let us know what you think will happen in the penultimate episode of True Blood by commenting below!

Synopsis:

Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) retreats in confusion. Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) makes a choice. Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) exercises uncharacteristic restraint, while Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) faces a dilemma after being caught in a lie.

Kristin Bauer van Straten Wants To Be More Like True Blood’s Pam

August 7, 2014

Playing a Vampire in HBO’s True Blood Has Taught Kristin Many Things:

Kristin Bauer van Straten stars as vampire Pam in HBO's True BloodFor Kristin Bauer van Straten, 2014 will be forever known as the year she cried a multitude of tears over the demise of HBO’s True Blood. She lived it, she owned it, and there is plenty of video footage left over from San Diego’s Comic Con to prove it. Obviously, playing Pam the snarkiest vampire on earth has gotten under the actor’s skin. Besides loving playing the role, did Kristin ever feel she and Pam had any similarities? And did she take anything away with her after playing Pam? Kristin had this to say to After Ellen recently:

I think I have and I wish that I’d taken more. I truly admire her lack of concern over being liked. I think that’s one of the harder things for me and for humans [because] I really don’t like upsetting people and she could care less for speaking the truth. Because she really isn’t overly vicious or blunt, she’s actually overly truthful. I think that’s why she’s fun to watch because she says what we’re all thinking. And I wish I had that comfortableness in my own shoes. And I think people do gain that ability over the course of a lifetime; vampires just have many lifetimes.

As for die hard Truebies, it is exactly Pam’s attitude that is by far one of her most endearing attributes. Some fans love her attitude so much, in fact, that they even made a video of her best snarky lines from over the entire show. You can check it out below if you like, but just remember than Pam has no censor, so you may not want to watch this video at work 😉
