However, that does NOT mean that the show will continue to be made for those 7 total seasons, though we all of course hope True Blood will last that long and longer, because HBO is the final decision maker when it comes to how long they renew True Blood for. The cast has longer contracts than seasons that have been purchased by HBO so far. Every show actually does that to ensure that they keep their cast members for as much of the duration of the show as they're needed. Yes, Loleaf, they did. However, that does NOT mean that the show will continue to be made for those 7 total seasons, though we all of course hope True Blood will last that long and longer, because HBO is the final decision maker when it comes to how long they renew True Blood for.
