mastersfxThe mastery of visual effects are another component in the success of Alan Ball’s HBO TV series “True Blood”.  With the development of prosthetics limbs to recreate blood being drawn to the actual blood itself MastersFX will continue in season 2 to recreate the illusion of a world inhabitied by vampires and other supernatural beings.  This is not the first time that MastesFX has worked with Alan Ball on a production.  Previously they were involved with Alan Ball’s hit TV series “Six Feet Under’ to which they won an Emmy for their work.  The company’s workmanship has been featured on TV shows and movies including “The Day the Earth Stood Still,” “Sanctuary,” “Stargate Atlantis,” “Tales from the Crypt,” and “Dexter.”  Regarding their work on “True Blood” Dan Rebert from Masters FX states:

“True Blood’ is by far my favorite television project. I love the fact that the show’s mythology goes much deeper than just the relationships between humans and vampires. In the world of ‘True Blood,’ many races of magical creatures exist right under our noses. It is dark fantasy mixed with drama and humor … what’s not to love?”

“We are very fortunate to have the same core crew of artists for the show’s second season,” Rebert adds about his MastersFX team. “These guys have been with us for years and are the finest craftsmen I’ve ever worked with. We all look forward to the challenges ahead of us on a darker and scarier ‘True Blood’ season two.”
