Sam Trammell on Larry King’s Gulf Telethon

June 21, 2010 by

Tonight, June 21, 2010, Sam Trammell is joining many other celebrities to raise funds for the victims of the BP oil spill in the Gulf. The telethon will be shown from 8-10 PM EDT on CNN, and will be hosted by Larry King.

Sam Trammell will be joined by many other celebrities, including Ian Somerhalder, Cameron Diaz, Kathy Griffin, Harry Connick Jr, Justin Bieber, Robert Redford, and Alyssa Milano, to name a few. All these celebrities and more are working together to raise funds for three awesome charities: The United Way, The Nature Conservancy, and The National Wildlife Federation.

Beyond the many celebrities who will be working the phone banks, Ryan Seacrest will be hosting a “social suite” online to help raise money online via social media sites in order to connect this special with more people.

For a complete list of all the celebrities who will be participating and more information on the charities, check out Larry King Live’s blog.

A big thank you to Sam Trammell for supporting this important cause while this man-made disaster is still taking place.

UPDATE: Larry King Live just ended, and by the end of the two hours, MORE than $1,300,000 had been raised. The phone lines will remain open until 2am EDT. The number to call to donate is: 1-800-491-GULF. Every little bit of support helps, and thank you in advance to all you Trubies who are helping with such an important cause!

    Thank you Isis,
I watched most of Larry King and am heartbroken at all the suffering, human and animal, as well as damage that this tragedy has caused. And we have yet to see all the consequences yet to unfold.
I am so glad that Sam represted our TB crew!
Stephen has the Gulf tragedy as his personal charity and I have already donated and urge others to do the same.
