Stephen Moyer’s Film “Priest” New Release Date

December 9, 2009 by Janie Logan

bill_1152x864_2Fans of Stephen Moyer will be pleased to learn that his upcoming film, Priest, has been given an earlier release date, so they will get to see him on the big screen sooner than expected! Known primarily for his role as the Southern gentleman vampire Bill Compton on Alan Ball’s True Blood, Stephen worked on a few other projects during his break from the HBO series, including the movie Priest. In this thriller from director Scott Stewart, he plays the brother of a warrior priest (Paul Bettany) who is hunting a group of vicious vampires who kidnapped his niece.

Previously scheduled by their studio, Screen Gems, to open on October 1, 2010, Priest has moved to fill a spot on August 27, 2010, left by the delay of the 3D horror film Resident Evil: Afterlife, starring Milla Jovovich.

Priest is based on a TokyoPop comic book and promises to be an exciting film that will surely showcase Stephen’s talent in a very different role from that of Bill.
