True Blood’s Carrie Preston Wins Her First Emmy!

2013 Emmy’s is Preston’s First Nomination:

Arlene Fowler (Carrie Preston) mourns the loss of Terry Bellefleur (Todd Lowe) in HBO's True Blood Season 6, Episode 9, entitled 'Life Matters'While Carrie Preston may not have won her Emmy for her outstanding work as Arlene Fowler Bellefluer in HBO’s True Blood, but it is still exciting to see this fine actress honored for for work. Preston received her award for the category of Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her work in CBS’s The Good Wife. She beat Linda Cardellini for Mad Men, Jane Fonda for HBO’s The Newsroom, Margo Martindale for The Americans, Joan Cusack for Shameless and Diana Rigg in Game of Thrones. That was some serious competition!

Bid on Tickets to the Primetime Emmys and HBO After Party

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation is holding an Ebay auction for the lucky bidder to receive two tickets to the Primetime Emmy Awards, two tickets to the HBO After Party plus a limo ride.  The evening will start when you and your guest are picked up by a limo provided by Privileged Transportation and are taken to the Nokia Theatre where you will enjoy the awards ceremony.   After the show, the car will take you to the HBO After Party where you will get to walk the red carpet and party with the stars of HBO‘s hit programs like True Blood!

Date: August 29, 2010

Place: Nokia Theatre for the Emmy’s and the Pacific Design Center for the HBO After Party

Time: 2:30pm to midnight

All proceeds from the winning bid will go to support the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation whose mission is to shape the future of television while preserving its past.

Fox and Ellen Bursten.  Later in the evening, True Blood went on to win the fan-selected Breakthrough Performance Emmy.
