What if Tom Hanks Was a 13 Year Old GIRL Trapped in a Grown Up Body:
The classic family movie, Big, stars Tom Hanks and tells the story of a 13 year old boy who wishes to be a grown up – and manages to get that wish granted! In among all the trials and tribulations that arise with a kid trapped inside an adults body, there is also the suggestion of romance. This is really cute, until you consider the implications. Which is what Funny or Die did recently. Not only did they explore the darker side of a 13 year old getting romantically involved with a grown up, they also took it to a whole other level when they invited Evan Rachel Wood (who played the vampire queen Sophie Anne Leclerq in HBO’s True Blood) to bring a female aspect to the lead role.
This video is completely NSFW, so make sure you are discrete when viewing it since it contains a vast amount of F-bombs.
The video also stars Darren Criss (who stars as the Kurt’s love interest, Blaine, in Fox’s TV series Glee) as Evan’s love interest. Clicking on the image below will open up the Funny or Die video clip in a new window for your viewing enjoyment.

From True Blood Vampires to Dystopia:
Fans of Evan Rachel Wood’s interpretation of the vampire queen of Louisiana, Sophie Anne Leclerq, in True Blood are in for a treat with recent announcement of her return to HBO. It has been confirmed that Wood has signed on for Westworld, an adaptation of Michael Crichton’s 1973 dystopian theme park film. A pilot episode has been commissioned for release in 2015 and also stars Anthony Hopkins (Silence of the Lambs). This is the first time Hopkins will appear as a regular character in a television series. The Telegraph released these details on his character:
Hopkins will play Dr Robert Ford, the inspired but aloof director of Westworld, an amusement park of the future where life-like cyborgs provide guests with ultra-realistic simulations of past ages. The park is transformed into a zone of terror when its central computer malfunctions, and forces two visitors into a cat-and-mouse chase with a gun-slinging android cowboy.
In the original movie, Yul Brynner fulfilled the role of the gun-slinging android cowboy.
HBO released the following images and video via Twitter to coincide with their announcement:

True Blood’s Evan Rachel Wood Lends Her Voice to Disney:
Disney has recently announced it would be producing a new animated movie based loosely on William Shakespeare’s A Mid Summer Night’s Dream. The movie is called Strange Magic and True Blood’s Evan Rachel Wood has been cast as one of the voice actors. Truebies will remember Evan in the role of Sophie-Anne LeClerq, the Vampire Queen of Louisiana. She appeared in Seasons 2 through to 4 of HBO’s vampire series. As yet there is no news on the role Evan will be playing, but here is the cast list for Strange Magic as announced so far:
- Kristin Chenoweth
- Evan Rachel Wood
- Alan Cumming, Maya Rudolph
- Sam Palladio
- Alfred Molina
- Elijah Kelley
- Bob Einstein
- Peter Stormare
- Meredith Anne Bull
And here’s the synopsis:
“Strange Magic” is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.
Gary Rydstrom will direct Strange Magic. The screen play is written by David Berenbaum, Irene Mecchi and Gary Rydstrom from an idea originally penned by George Lucas (of Star Wars fame). Marius de Vries is listed as musical director and composer and it has been revealed that Strange Love will feature modern day pop songs.
Evan Rachel Wood is not the first True Blood star to lend her voice to a Disney production. Anna Camp recently took on the role of Princess Ivy in the Disney Junior movie entitled Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy.

Queen Sophie-Anne on Love and Justin Bieber:
Not only does Bon Temps’ deceased vampire queen, Sophie-Anne LeClerq prefer to romanticize with women, but so does actress Evan Rachel Wood… well, Wood is really an equal-opportunist when it comes to romance.
On being bisexual:
“That’s a big part of who I am, and it always has been for as long as I can remember. I can’t say I’m one way or the other, because I’ve honestly fallen in love with a man and I’ve honestly fallen in love with a woman. I don’t know how you label that, it’s just how it is.”
On Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never, Wood admits:
“I ended up seeing it three times — in the theaters. One of those times was the director’s cut, I’m not even kidding. I got obsessed with the kid. It’s going to be weird if I ever meet him. He’s brought so much joy to my life.”

Queen Sophie-Anne LeClerq Admires Justin Bieber:
We lost the vampire queen of Louisiana, Sophie-Anne LeClerq, this season on HBO’s True Blood but she is not gone completely. Evan Rachel Wood plays an intern in the highly-acclaimed George Clooney-directed film, The Ides of March, which opened in the beginning of October.
Wood stopped by Chelsea Handler’s E! show, Chelsea Lately, to talk about her admiration for Justin Bieber and what it felt like to be invited to George Clooney’s lake house.
On Justin Bieber:
“This is going to be my legacy, from now on. Forget all the acting. It’s just all going to be about Justin Bieber.”
On being pulled over by a bike cop:
“There is nothing more embarrassing than that… I was in a car and he was on a bike.”

New Film “The Ides of March”:
Evan Rachel Wood, True Blood‘s Queen Sophie Anne, is appearing in The Ides of March. This political thriller stars George Clooney, Ryan Gosling and many others. The film deals with many issues, including sex scandals, and according to Wood that’s fine. In a recent interview the actress quotes one of the most poignant lines from the movie: “You can start a war, you can bankrupt a country but you can’t sit with the interns.”
Wood does not consider sitting with the interns that scandalous:
“We make such a big deal about these sex scandals, which are actually the most natural things in the world and everyone has skeletons in their closet and it actually shouldn’t matter at all. I don’t want to know. People can do whatever they want with themselves and that’s fine. It has nothing to do with the way you conduct yourself at your job.”
The True Blood actress enjoyed working with director George Clooney “…I really like working with directors who are actors because you speak the same language.” Wood didn’t go method on this project; she relied on documentaries and information given by director George Clooney. Even though the film is serious, the making of it was very enjoyable. Wood describes the fun atmosphere Clooney created on set:
“And he made sure everyone was having a great time. I think he knows that if your cast and crew are happy then you’re going to get good work. That’s actually really rare. But that’s why I loved working with him.”
With True Blood over, chances to see our favorite TV stars are few and far between. Will you be heading to the movies to see Queen Sophie Anne in this political thriller? Do you think sex scandals are a big deal? Share you comments and thoughts with us in the section below.

Queen Sophie Anne Grows Up:
In her latest interview for NYMag.com, Evan Rachel Wood talks about her lack of shock in political scandals, her latest “grown-up” movie, Ides of March, and working with George Clooney as both a director and a fellow actor.
When talking about her Ides of March co-star Ryan Gosling, she muses that he may be this generation’s James Dean:
“There’s something really special here. It’s that striking. I think he’s the James Dean of now. And he’d better kiss my ass for saying that.”
Wood also shows her lighter side, discussing a recent YouTube video that popped up with her covering Justin Bieber:
“I was in China randomly — I know, it’s already weird [laughs] — and I’m a big karaoke fan and I also love Justin Bieber unashamedly.”
She mentions that she also made a Janis Joplin video. Wood goes on to talk about her love of making music and while it’s always been a personal passion, it may become something she’s interested in pursuing publicly in the future. It seems that she may join the rank of actors who are a double force in the creative world!
So, do you agree with Evan Rachel Wood that Ryan Gosling is this generation’s James Dean? Do you share her unabashed love of Justin Bieber? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
