True Blood Season 7: Get Ready For a Southern-Off Between Pam & Sarah

August 6, 2014

Anna Camp Tells Fans to Prepare For Battle – Southern-Style:

Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) are set for a Southern-off in HBO's True Blood Season 7With the net quickly closing in on Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp), it appears Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard), Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Mr. Gus (Will Yun Lee) may have their hands firmly on Sarah in Sunday’s upcoming Episode of HBO’s True Blood. But don’t expect Sarah to go down without a fight in Episode 8 (entitled Almost Home) – even if she is claiming to be the Messiah. It seems there will be an old-style battle of the Southern wits before Sarah possibly meets her maker. According to Anna Camp, Sarah and Pam will have a run in some time soon:

Pam hates my guts, and she is definitely not holding any of that back. She is one of the actresses that I have always wanted to have scenes with on this show. You see these two Southern belles who are pretty girly, and we have some great one-liners. There’s a handful of scenes that I’m really excited about seeing because she’s awesome to work with.

Who can’t wait for this clash? But will Sarah finally meet with a grisly end after a Hep-V antidote is synthesized? No one is spilling the beans on that Season 7 secret, but it does look likely with Anna Camp having said Sarah ‘definitely deserves to die‘ in several interviews.

HBO’s True Blood Offends the Republicans!

July 23, 2014

In Episode 5 of Season 7, Pam Utters a One-Liner and Offends a Political Party:

Kristin Bauer van Straten stars as Pam in HBO's True Blood Season 7 Episode 5 (entitled 'Lost Cause' nd previously titled 'Return to Oz')For HBO’s truebie fans, a social agenda and foul words are as common to witness in each episode of True Blood as fangs, gore and sex! But it seems this time that HBO’s resident snarky vampire, Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten), has topped the lot as far as offending goes. In Episode 5 (entitled Lost Cause) of Season 7, Pam uttered the following line:

Oh. My. God. I’m a Republic**t.

While many fans thought the line was hilarious, there were people out there who found it a less than flattering term to use for the Republican party – like republicans! But when Pam and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) crash a Ted Cruz fundraiser set at the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas which then turns into a Yukuza supported massacre, it seems a more personal reply is needed. Ted Cruz took to social media afterwards to voice his opinion on Facebook:

Not happy with just this humorous right of reply, he then took to Twitter a couple of hours later:

So, what did you think of this episode of True Blood? Were you offended? Or was it all just in good humor? Let us know your thoughts by commenting below!

True Blood Season 7: Sarah Newlin Bumps Into [SPOILER]

July 20, 2014

Find Out Who Sarah Newlin Will Meet Up With Unexpectedly in Season 7:

Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) gets a new religion and a new haircolour in HBO's True Blood Season 7 Episode 3 Fire in the HoleFor fans of HBO’s True Blood, the return of Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) was met with mixed emotions. Some were glad to see this regular True Blood baddie return for Season 7, while others just wanted her dead already!

Regardless of your stance on Sarah Newlin, Anna Camp told TVLine there will be an unexpected encounter with her ex flame/nemesis, Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) coming up soon:

It’s not in a way that you would expect. It actually can be pretty funny and pretty sad. It’s very unexpected the way that I end up interacting with Jason this time around.

As for how that scene will eventuate, Anna Camp doesn’t elaborate, but she had the following to say about her story line involving Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) hunting her down:

She’s got Pam and Eric hunting her basically and the Yakuza…this season is all about survival. We’re going to see what it’s really like when she’s pushed to the end of her rope.

Or, perhaps when she’s pushed to the edge of her stiletto? When asked about whether there will be another crazy death scene like the one where she kills a woman using nothing but her shoe in Season 6, Anna told E!Online:

No! [Laughs.] This season, Sarah’s gone Buddhist. I think she’s left all of high heels in Texas… Maybe, we’ll see what happens if [Eric, Pam and Sarah] cross paths. I can’t say too much, but there will be some really fun scenes that hopefully people will be on the edge of their seats about.

How do you think Sarah Newlin’s story line will conclude in HBO’s True Blood Season 7? Let us know your thoughts by commenting below!

True Blood Season 7: Will Eric Northman Die of Hep-V?

July 14, 2014

Kristin Bauer van Straten Discusses Pam & Eric:

true-blood-eric-pam-season-7-i-found-you-hboIn the Season 6 finale of HBO’s True Blood, every Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) fan screamed out as one when the viking vampire burst into flames. However, it seems that was just the tip of the iceberg in regards to the troubles he is finding himself in. His progeny, Pam, has been searching high and low for her maker – only to discover he is now suffering from a terminal case of Hep-V.

The actress who portrays Pam, Kristin Bauer van Straten, has had plenty to say about the relationship and complications arising between Pam and Eric in True Blood Season 7. While it seemed that Eric was a lost cause at the start of Episode 3 (entitled Fire in the Hole), Pam bought his fighting spirit back to the fore by the end with the announcement that the threat of Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) was still very real:

It’s quite a triumph for [Pam] to delay his dying. She has to actually think fairly quickly on her feet, and through her panic and through her grief, to try to come up with a way to motivate him.

With Eric dying from Hep-V, however, will they be able to track down Sarah Newlin in time? Without giving any storylines away, for Kristin Bauer, it seems it will be a struggle for the pair of them – emotionally as well as physically:

I feel like she is kicking and screaming. It’s impossible for her to think of losing him. Pam just is in denial and fighting for every moment with him and feeling closer to him. Some of us have been through losing someone, especially with cancer, where you know the person is dying, which I’ve been through, and there’s a real relinquishing and a sweetness and a closeness that happens actually more and more knowing that that person’s time is limited. My dad died of cancer and my best friend of AIDS. I’ve been through it a couple of times, and I also knew — not that this is as big a thing — but I knew that my time with Alex Skarsgard was limited. We were really enjoying all the time we had together, and I could borrow from that — how much we treasured every scene more than we did in the past, because we knew it was a finite quantity.

Is that a hint that Eric does actually die of Hep-V? Or is she merely taking about the demise of the show and the time they have left together as actors? Only time will tell! You can read the full interview by clicking here.

Video: UInterview with True Blood’s Kristin Bauer

June 20, 2012

What True Blood Questions Would YOU Ask Pam?

Kristin Bauer as Pam in HBO's True BloodRecently, Kristin Bauer got interviewed about Season 5 of HBO’s True Blood by fans on UInterview.com.

Kimberly wanted to know about the relationship between Pam and Eric (played by Alexander Skarsgård), suggesting that there was more than the love for a maker going on between the two. Bauer explains (while trying not to give anything away) that Pam’s story and her behaviour both as a vampire and in relation to Eric will be explained in Season 5 – especially within the first 4 episodes!

Benjamin wanted to know all about Tru Blood and what it was made of. Kristin explained that there are actually a few different variants of it since sometimes they need it in different consistencies, but mostly it is made from corn syrup and food colouring.

The question was also asked about what were some of Kristin Bauer’s favorite behind the scenes moments on set. While Bauer quickly pointed out that most days were hilarious on set, not just from the obvious line fluffs, but from pranksters such as Aussie actor Ryan Kwanten (who plays Sookie’s brother, Jason Stackhouse), she did also include one funny incident from Season 4:

One of the biggest laughs that we’ve had at my expense… was in Season 4 when we were outside of Moon Goddess Emporium. We were being pulled into the force field… and were fighting it but we couldn’t, but we were scared, so how do you do that? So the director said; “Alright, let’s start shooting that.” And we go, “Any idea how to do that?” He said; “No”… Stephen and Alex, who are like my bigger brothers, turn and look at me and are like; “This will be good.” I’m like; “Alright, alright, can we have a pact where we don’t laugh at each other?” And they both went; “Oh, no.” They… had to do this spastic wacky walk for five feet. I was about a hundred yards back by myself. Deborah Ann Woll is probably the nicest person on Earth and she laughed so hard at me that her neck was wet with tears. Then they ran over to playback… And they all stood around there and laughed at me.

The last question came from Justin, who wanted to know if Pam’s fondness for the ladies would translate from the Charlaine Harris books into the HBO series. Kristin admits that she is also interested to see how HBO tackles this. Although, she did have reservations:

I suspect, that if we go long enough, and also because of the books, that we are gonna see this side of Pam, and I would also love to know who is this person who Pam would be with. I mean she really just only has a place in her heart for Eric at this time. So the answer to the question is, it’s highly possible, as it is True Blood, and I’m looking forward to it as well, and my mother probably is not.

Make sure you check out the video below for the rest of the great questions viewers asked of Kristin Bauer about Season 5. What would you have asked her? Let us know in the comments below!

True Blood Season 5 Poster – Pam!

May 31, 2012

HBO's True Blood's Pam played by Kristin Bauer poster

Less Than 30 Days to True Blood Season 5!

The posters are out for the HBO True Blood stars for season five! There will be one for each actor and we at TrueBloodNet.com have decided to present one per post in order to give each its own top billing. We saved our very favorite vampire for the last poster we’re sharing before the ten day countdown to True Blood: Pam. Pam, played by the stunning Kristin Bauer van Straten, is the one that has humanized vampire sheriff Eric since season one. Although to everyone else, Eric has been less than human, through his relationship with cold, ironic, snide, perfectly-dressed Pam we’ve learned that Eric still held the kernel of humanity inside him. At the end of last season, when Eric got his memory back but was still in touch with his humanity, he turned on Pam and upset her enough that she ran off (I hope she didn’t ruin her pumps!) Unexpectedly, Pam has someone that humanizes her too, and that’s the ever-loyal Ginger. There are sure to be more fireworks at Fangtasia as Eric and Pam rework their relationship. Maybe it’s time for Pam to get a special friend? We can only hope!

Truebloodnet’s Favorite Quotes from Season 4, Episode 4 – “I’m Alive and on Fire”

July 29, 2011

Watercooler Gossip:

Truebloodnet is bringing True Blood fans their favorite quotes from episode four. Each week, fans can’t wait to see the new episode of True Blood and then race to the water cooler on Monday to talk about what happened on Sunday’s show. Here is our way of bringing those favorite scenes back to you.

Love Drunk

The first quote is from Sookie who stares at Eric like a puppy who has messed on her new carpet:

“You can’t have any more, there isn’t anymore, you drank the WHOLE fairy, and you’re going to your room!”

Eric had other plans though:

“Hey! Did you just pinch my butt?”

While Eric was frolicking in the woods, Pam was being grilled about his whereabouts by Bill. After making her mad, the third great comment of the night comes:

“You like the feel of it don’t ya, Bill? That crown.”

drunk Eric swimming S4 Ep4While Bill may not like the feel of the crown, Eric seems to love the feel of the swamp water and DOES NOT want to get out.

“There’s big gators in there you crazy viking, get on out and let’s go home before one of them chomps off your you-know-what!”

Eric, we can’t let that happen, you better get out of that water!

Cat Scratch Fever

Quite a few great quotes came from Jason’s ordeal. Viewers first find Jason tied to a bed where a woman from Hot Shot is taking full advantage of his situation.

Jason tied to the bed S4 Ep4

“Well, I don’t know why you’re crying, I’m the one getting raped,”

he says to her.

Next one comes from Luther who yells to Jason:

“Breed, Ghost Daddy, breed!”

The fifth quote comes from Crystal Norris who finds Jason in the woods after he has escaped and killed Felton. She is very happy to see him and even happier that Felton is dead.

“I’m big momma kitty now.”

And that you are Crystal, that you are.

Witchy Woman

The witches this season have been dangerous and full of great lines. Since Marnie has cast the spell on Eric, Lafayette,  Jesus, and Tara have 24 hours to have her reverse the spell. She tries to tell them that she can’t remember. Lafeyette will not hear any of that!

“You get her ass on the gotdamn Goddess line and you tell her to turn this curse a-f***in-round!”

Well, that’s one way of putting it. While that group is trying to reverse the spell, Nan Flanagan is giving Bill Compton hell about sending Eric to the Moon Goddess Emporium.

“Some old hippies levitated a dead bird, so what?”

Well Nan, it was a little more than that, which Pam later learns when she says the famous line,

“Are you f***ing retarded?”

I think it’s fair to say that Marnie won that fight.

Love Comes in All Kinds

Quote number eleven is from Debbie Pelt who is not concerned with Alcide helping Sookie:

“You’re in my bed, boy — I aint worried about no Sookie.”

Debbie obviously did not see how Alcide and Sookie looked at each other.

Number twelve and thirteen have to do with families. First, is the shocking revelation of finding out that Bill is related to Portia Bellefleur:

“You’re my great-great-great-great-granddaughter.”

I don’t think Portia thought it was that great. The next wasn’t a spoken line, but a great one nonetheless.

“Baby not yours”

was found written on the wall at Arlene’s house. It appears that the baby wrote it, but I am skeptical.

The Tangled Webs

The last two of the night come back to Sookie’s love triangle. While the situation between her and Eric hasn’t escalated, it is obvious that Eric would like more with Sookie.

“If you kiss me, I promise to be happy.”

Yes, Eric I would be!

Bill & Sookie “lies” S4 Ep4

Bill soon shows up at Sookie’s house and asks to search it looking for Eric. Sookie feels a need to protect him so she tops the night with the best quote of the night.

“When have I ever lied to you? Ever?”

Well they do say there is a first time for everything.

So this is our list from episode four, did you find your favorite quote of the night?

Kristin Bauer van Straten Talks About True Blood and Working with Alexander Skarsgård

July 28, 2011

Why Pam is So Popular:

Kristin Bauer van Straten as Pam, the vampireFans of HBO’s True Blood will know Kristin Bauer van Straten as the wily vampire, Pamela Swynford De Beaufort, a character who is both hilarious as well as incredibly slick when it comes to style.

Recently, The Daily Beast asked Kristin if she shared any similarities with Pam. While she admitted that they both share the same dry wit when it comes to humor, she also stated that they have their differences. Besides her passion for animal welfare, she is also prone to tearing up! In fact, that soft, vulnerable side to her had her labelled at one point as the ‘sweet blonde girl’ character:

“I had a hard time in my career at that time… I had to segue into dramas and one-hours and [was told] it was almost impossible to see me as a character with any edge… It’s kind of incredible that I ended up with Pam. I was trying to think of an edgier character and I couldn’t… Pam is like a stylish serial killer with integrity.”

However, last season did see Pam show her vulnerable side. Little did we know that her Achilles heel would turn out to be her maker, Eric Northman (played by Alexander Skarsgård). Season 4 has expanded on this theme. Now that Eric has lost him memory, and Pam is trying to hide him from their new King, Bill Compton (played by Stephen Moyer), it will be interesting to see how far she will go to protect him.

Speaking of Alexander, Kristin was also asked about her relationship with the actor. While onscreen, since they are bonded by blood, she must trust him implicitly; but she has also found that she trusts him as much offscreen:

“In our relationship as Pam and Eric, there are overlaps with Kristin and Alex, because I have complete faith and trust in him. You have to do some things playing an immortal character where you just have to dive in and look ridiculous… Alex is so incredibly sweet and funny.”

In Kristin’s earlier days as an actress, she almost left the profession and went back to her roots. Being raised in Wisconsin, she had an ethic of hard work. After gardening for three months straight, as an alternative to therapy, she decided to stick with what she knew:

“I realized if I didn’t want to lose my house, I’d have to go do the only thing I had ever been paid to do. It was that or being a hooker. Heidi Fleiss was in jail, so I thought I’d go back and audition.”

You could just imagine Pam saying that exact same line!

Kristin also admits to maintaining an Internet presence through Twitter and Facebook. While she likes to keep up to date with her fans, she is careful about how much she reads about herself and  her acting roles on the net. She is happy that fans seem so positive about her as an actor,  but she does not feel the need to see the negative opinions as well.

We here at True Blood Net couldn’t possibly imagine what anyone would have to say about this wonderful woman that is negative! Make sure you check out the full interview here.

Will True Blood’s Eric and Sookie Have Their Long Awaited Shower Scene?

July 25, 2011

Comic-Con’s True Blood Panel Delivers Elusive Answers (SPOILERS!):

TB cast at Comic-Con 2011 AP Photo/Denis Poroy

The question on everyone’s mind at Comic-Con was: will there be a shower scene and how closely will it follow the book? Alan Ball‘s response:

“There will be a moment where Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) are together in the shower. But it may be weirder and dirtier than the one in the book.”

Weirder and dirtier? Well we should expect nothing less from True Blood. Who wants clean and normal? Ball also commented on Season 5 and promises that there will be a male/female strip club. Ball also said that at the strip club there would be “a completely different twisted supernatural aspect”.

Many fans asked if Sam (Sam Trammell) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) have any hope of getting back together or if their romance is over? Ball’s response was evasive: “Nothing is ever done on this show.” Something we all know to be true on True Blood.

We will also get to see how Eric made his progeny Pam (Kristin Bauer) next season, something many fans have been waiting a long time to see.

The Comic-Con crowd got a sneak peak at a trailer for the rest of Season 4. It ends with Sookie lying on the ground in a graveyard bleeding from the stomach. A million questions rush through one’s head after seeing it, but we shall just have to wait until next Sunday and the Sunday after that…

Alan Ball did make a rather mysterious statement about Sookie and her Fairy heritage:

“For those who read the books, you know that fairies are born in litters and are identical.”

Does this mean we will be seeing more of Claudine in some way?

Many of us have been wondering, why haven’t we seen more naked Sookie? Ball’s answer:

“She takes her clothes off all the time.”

Thank goodness, because a naked Sookie usually means there is a naked vampire!

Were any of you lucky enough to attend the panel?  Share your experience with us in the comment section!

True Blood: Episode 1 Fashion Recap

July 4, 2011

Season 4 Looks Set to Rock the Fashion Stakes:

Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse in True BloodOkay, now we have finally had our fix of a new episode. The next thing is: What were they wearing? Here’s a rundown for the fashion (and vampire) inclined.

Sookie

Think Alice in Wonderland for fashion for our favorite barmaid this season. We see her in just he cutest little blue dress ever! She complements the look with one of her classic headbands.

Jason

This season Jason is channeling the ‘hot cop’ look, complete with a new goatee. While those guys out in Hotshot may think he should be kept in a freezer, I am hoping he gets a chance to strut more of the cop look soon.

Eric

More tanks, more leather, more Eric. Enough said. Nobody does cool and dead like a dead viking. But he has had over a thousand years to get his style right.

Bill

On the other hand, we have Bill. He seems to have finally worked out that Henley shirts are out of fashion, and have been since he died. He is looking more refined this season, which is the only thing befitting a king. The look certainly becomes him. Of course, now he is the bad guy, and we shouldn’t be caring one way or the other how he looks!

Wiccans/Witches

This bunch seems to fall into two distinct categories: Hot Librarian and Frumpy. Marnie fits into the latter category. It’s strange to see a leader of a coven dressed like she has a floordrobe and no light bulb. The rest of her coven fall into the ‘hot librarian’ category.

Lafayette

Now here is a man who has no fear of clothes and new and exciting ways to wear them. He has chosen the Mr. T look this season. That or someone placed a ferret on his head while he was sleeping and forgot to tell him. There are more scarves worn as head gear and more pretty long tops that would look great on a girl, but look spectacular on Lafayette.

Pam, Et Al

Pam is continuing with her pink PTA look. She still looks adorable and deadly all rolled into one.

Tara has become Toni. She has ditched the new hairstyle and gone for ultra-smooth locks. She has also taken up fighting as a profession, so expect plenty of shorts and tanks for this girl during Season 4.

Jessica and Hoyt have been raiding the same wardrobe: namely Hoyt’s. They both appear in matching jeans and plaid shirts. Jessica, however, does lose this look and take on a dress once she and Hoyt have a domestic.

Can’t wait to see what the next episode brings!

Thanks to Randi for bringing us the scoop. Remember Truebies, we welcome your contributions.
