Horror remake kicks off a flood of films featuring True Blood’s Jessica Hamby

True Blood‘s Deborah Ann Woll stars as Lydia Koffin in Darren Lynn Bousman’s remake of the classic horror flick Mother’s Day. Bousman’s film will debut on April Fool’s Day 2011 and features Rebecca DeMornay as Mother. Woll and DeMornay are joined in the flick by Jaime King, AJ Cook, Briana Evigan, Alexa Vega, Lisa Marcos, Shawn Ashmore and Matt O’Leary.

“Mother’s Day” is about a villanious family who returns to their childhood home to wreak havoc on the new owners and their guests. “Mother’s Day” release kicks off a host of movies (most in post-production) that feature Woll, including “Little Murder,” “Catch.44,” and “Highland Park.”

Will you be going to see this movie when it comes out? And what do you think of Deborah working in a movie with a former co-star of Anna Paquin‘s (Shawn Ashmore)?

I adore Deborah and wish her the best in everything. I think TB has given all these stars a great start in Hollywood and we will be seeing them in projects for years to come.
