True Blood is Nominated for HPA Awards

Hollywood Post Alliance announced their nominees and True Blood was on the list. This award show recognizes the best of the best of 2010 in post production. The HPA president,  Leon Silverman spoke on Sept 22, 2010 in Los Angeles regarding this years nominations,

“The HPA takes pride in celebrating the accomplishments of our entire post production community, but it is a distinct honor to be able to recognize the distinguished contributions of our HPA Awards Nominees. With more submissions than ever before, this year’s nominations represent some of the finest and most creative work our industry has to offer. These nominations recognize the hard work, artistry and creativity that consistently make post production such an important and too often under appreciated part of our larger industry. The HPA is proud to be able to celebrate their work.”

The Award Show

The winners will be announced November 11, 2010 in Los Angeles. True Blood is being recognized in the following areas: Outstanding Color Grading- Television, Outstanding Sound- for “Beyond Here Lies Nothin’“. During the event in November, they will also give special honors to the Lifetime Achievement Award, The Engineering Excellence Award, and the HPA Judges Award for Creativity and Innovation.  Tickets are available to purchase at the below website and you may also email them for further information on the event.
The past three seasons of True Blood have been fantastic and definitely deserve the attention of many awards. Much honor is given to these organization for rewarding the great work of all the participants who make True Blood what the viewers have come to love.
