For the Second Year in a Row, the Sexy Drama Nabs a Nom for Outstanding Producer

True Blood cast and Alan Ball at Comic Con 2010As Hollywood continues to march its way through awards season, which begins Feb 27th with the Academy Awards, industry heavyweights continue to announce their nominations. The latest being the Producers Guild of America (PGA), which has nominated our favorite vampire drama, True Blood, for the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama. Three howls for Alan Ball!

The Producers Guild Awards celebrates the finest producing work of the year, and gives the Guild an opportunity to honor some of the living legends who have shaped the profession. The 2011 Producers Guild Awards will be hosted by Judd Apatow on Saturday, January 22nd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The Guild will pay tribute to several special individual honorees during the 22nd annual ceremony including: James Cameron (Milestone Award), Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman (Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television), Scott Rudin (David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures), Laura Ziskin (Visionary Award) and RealD (Vanguard Award).
