I think he delivered his character so well. It may not be an Oscar worthy, but he definitely owned it. On his hand, the character Eric Northman has emerged as a new legendary sex symbol in our pop culture.

Mind you, it’s not all about performance. It’s not acting award, it’s just popularity contest. Alex definitely could win based on hotness factor alone. And it doesn’t hurt that he owned the character he played.

Really? Best TV Performance? IMO AS did not better than the other actors in this series for this timeframe. If they had to chose one outstanding performer from S2 and the beginning of S3, it would be Michelle Forbes. Alex’s performance was a bit wooden and deadpan except when he cried like a sissy in ep 9. Stephen rocked for the first half of S3 and may I say Denis O’Hare? What about Mariana who played Lorena? Such great talent not being looked at because AS is the flavour of the month in LA. Sad.

Sorry, he won’t be getting my vote. Much better out there than his performance.

Sorry if I offended AS/Eric lovers, but judging by performance, he just did not do it for me.
