@Shanwink (via Twitter): True Blood goss!
Episode two of season four (which premieres Sunday, June 12!), is set at Fangtasia and called “You Smell Like Dinner.” Fangbanger smorgasbord, anyone? A source on set also told me they are building some sort of bakery and/or pie shop for the upcoming season three. Oh God. Maybe Strawberry Shortcake’s nemesis is the new big bad?! They’re also building a “weird looking metal shack” and allowing Sam (Sam Trammell) to go more grey this season. You heard it here first, people! (Sorry if we just ruined the whole season for you.)

November 9, 2010

‘Marnie’ Has Been Cast

Fiona ShawTrue Blood fans have been eagerly waiting for more Season 4 news and with filming slated to begin in a few weeks we can expect it to start trickling in.  A couple of weeks ago we reported that the show had put out a casting call for several new characters.  According to Deadline.com Fiona Shaw has now joined our favorite show as a series regular.

Shaw,  known to fans all over as Aunt Petunia from the ‘Harry Potter’ movies, will be playing Marnie, a palm reader who is taken over by the spirit of a powerful witch.  Her character is described as being a “mousy, timid, self loathing storefront medium”.  The role was originally written with a younger actress in mind, however the part is being rewritten for Shaw.

Courtney Ford Will Be Portia Bellefleur

The cast of True Blood is getting bigger and bigger! Another new character has been cast for Season 4. Portia Bellefleur will be played by Courtney Ford, an alumni of Showtime’s Dexter. Portia is a strong woman who runs her own law practice and is the sister of Bon Temps detective Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer). However, Portia will not be a series regular. Instead, the role is described as being recurring.

If you recognize Courtney, there’s a good reason why. She was Christine Hill on Dexter, and recently was in an episode of The Vampire Diaries. Courtney also has been on NCIS like fellow True Blood stars Todd Lowe and Lindsay Pulsipher.

Sam Trammell Shares True Blood Season 4 Spoilers

November 16, 2010 by Isis Nocturne (Edit)

Sam Trammell talks Shapeshifters, Nudity, etc.

Sam Trammell won’t be eating Thanksgiving dinner this year. Instead, he’ll be focusing on looking his best for the beginning of filming the fourth season of True Blood. The actor, who plays our favorite shifter/bar owner Sam Merlotte, told NBCNewYork.com writer Scott Huver that he’ll be filming scenes in the nude almost immediately after he gets back on set.

Bon Temps is also up for an upheaval of sorts. According to Sam, not only are there new characters that he’ll be interacting with, but more shapeshifter drama will occur. Sam said,

“There are gonna be some really cool shapeshifter-y things happening. There might be a shapeshifter community that we meet. And I can’t say what it is, but there’s something that happened that sort of changes everything, something at the beginning changes everything in town. So it’s going to be cool, because you have the same characters and the same deal, but there’s going to be something that makes it all fresh.”

Better yet, fans won’t have to wait long to see the first OMG! moment of Season 4 of True Blood. According to Sam, it happens very early on in the first episode of the new season.

Are the spoilers making you more excited for the upcoming Season 4 of True Blood?

TV Guide Rumors

The fourth season of True Blood hasn’t even begun filming yet, but the first spoiler about season 4 was released by TV Guide, and though the details provided are vague, we now have an idea about a few plot lines that True Blood’s fourth season will follow.

Alan Ball‘s Emmy-nominated supernatural drama returns for a chilling fourth season that finds barmaid Sookie (Anna Paquin) reeling from revelations about her heritage and the real reason why her vampire boyfriend, Bill (Stephen Moyer), first sought a relationship with her. Now that she knows why she is a telepath, Sookie is unsure about which path to follow, while vengeful vampire Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) escalates his deadly feud with Bill.

Add this to the amnesia plot line that we already knew about, and it sounds like season 4 is going to be the best season of True Blood so far!

What do you think of this new reveal? Let us know in the comments.

SPOILERS: Kristin Bauer and Sam Trammell Talk True Blood Season 4

October 20, 2010

What Kristin Bauer Would Love to see in True Blood’s Fourth Season

Kristin Bauer van Straten loves True Blood, and is looking forward to Season 4 and how it progresses. Of course, the lovely lady we know as vampire Pam Ravenscroft hopes to see a few things happen throughout the season.

Like many other fans, Kristin would love to see the fourth season of True Blood include several scenes from Charlaine Harris‘ fourth book in the Southern Vampire Mystery series, Dead to the World. She speculates:

“The storyline with Eric losing his mind next year may happen, which I think would be very hysterical. [Alexander Skarsgård] is an extremely comedic actor. He is very funny. A lot of people didn’t see him in Zoolander and [don’t] know how funny he can be. I would love for him to do that in his vampire character.”

Sam Trammell’s True Blood Season 4 Hint

Sam Trammell also spoke up about True Blood’s fourth season. He didn’t say much, but he did proclaim that the new season of True Blood will be even more eventful that the third season was. And though he doesn’t know exactly what that will mean for Sam Merlotte, he’s sure that he’ll be taking his clothes off a lot.
