Dear Nathan,
I recieved your CD of the original score from season 1 of True Blood last week. I put it on in my car to listen on my way to work. I was blown away! I have alwsys been deeply moved by the Bill/Sookie love theme and their melody. When I watch the show the music is in the background complementing the acting or actions so well. They become one. When listening in my car, without the visual accompanyment, I felt the music in my soul and it brought forth the images in my mind. Your music has perfectly captured the story. A few examples: in "Bills lament" I hear his sorrow, anger, loss and regret. In "Hairclip" I hear desire and danger. One of my favorites is "Bills entrance". When I heard it I had to clutch my hand to my chest for the ache it invoked. I am a Bill/Sookie fan. Their love melody is one of the most beautiful I have ever heard. You make the strings and keys of your instruments sing and cry, it has touched me deeply, and it is wonderful.
Thank you so much for bringing your talent to this amazing show. I have not been moved by a show like this before. I think perhaps you glamour with your music. Are you a vampire also??? I think not, just so incredibly gifted. Its a priviledge to be able to enjoy your music.
I look forward to more of your compositions in the future.
With best regards, a "True" fan!
