True Blood Twitter’s Bites For Blood A Success

December 7, 2009 by

blooddrive2The True Blood Twitter, Bites for Blood, event was a huge success thanks to all the people who tweeted to receive kisses and bites from the True Blood players on Twitter to raise awareness for the American Red Cross through the virtual kissing and biting booths.  Thanks to everyone’s hard work and diligence 500,000 virtual blood drops were collected and as a result @HBO will be donating $10,000 to the @RedCross.

As the Bites for Blood site states that even though the drive has officially ended, everyone is encouraged to keep showing support for the Red Cross by making a real life donation to the Red Cross.

It feels really good to have accomplished this! Plus, I put a minor note on my blog about it, and a woman from Red Cross actually left a comment thanking me for helping!

$10,000 is a lot of money, and I’m so glad that HBO is giving it to Red Cross! SUCH a great cause!
