Alexander Skarsgård and Benjamin Walker Vying for Role:

The Great Wall-Alexander Skarsgård/Benjamin Walker

Alexander Skarsgård has been quite busy lately, with filming Battleship and portraying Vampire Sheriff Eric Northman in season 5 of HBO’s True Blood. He must love his busy life as he has shown no sign of slowing down.

Ed Zwick, who is directing The Great Wall, is in the process of deciding to cast Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) or Skarsgård. Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) is already set to star in the film.

The adventure film tells the story of the travels of  British warriors through 15th Century China. In the process, they stumble upon the construction of a large wall.  When night time comes around, the warriors realize that the reasons behind the building of the wall isn’t just to keep out the Mongols — something else, inhuman, and far more dangerous is out there threatening the lives of many.

Would you be interested in seeing Skarsgård in this film, truebies?

Amy Grade, do you actually follow Alexander Skarsgård’s career at all?  He filmed Battleship in the summer of 2010.  It released this past May.  IOver the summer and early fall of 2011 he filmed What Maisie Knew, Disconnect and The East.

Since you clearly don’t know the subject of your article, I shall reserve judgment on anything you write until it’s confirmed by other, ore knowledgeable sources.
