Lauren Steps up into the Role of Senator in CW’s newest Sci-Fi Offering:
For fans of Holly Cleary the witchy waitress who just got engaged to Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) in HBO’s True Blood, you will be able to check out Lauren Bowles (the actress who plays Holly) in CW’s The Messengers. While there is no start date announced yet, it seems the show is pegged as a midseason series.
Lauren will play Sen. Cindy Richards, who is described as a ‘hard-working, passionate politician driven by a painful personal past.’ Other confirmed cast members include Navid Negahban (Homeland), Shantel VanSanten (One Tree Hill), Jon Fletcher (The Good Wife), Sofia Black-D’Elia (Gossip Girl), JD Pardo (Revolution), Joel Courtney (The Between), Anna Diop (Everybody Hates Chris), Craig Frank (Mixology) and Diogo Morgado (The Bible).
The Messengers centers on a group of seemingly unconnected strangers who die from an energy pulse after a mysterious object crashes down to Earth. They awaken to learn that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending apocalypse.
This sounds like a good series. What do you think? Let us know by commenting below!
