Is Lafayette dead????????????? I so want him to return this season. I know it should be obvious to a duck that Bill fed on him. But I really want him to return.

Congratulations for the interview! For those who are not familiar with the TV industry it is a great way to know what lies behind our fav show. It was really interesting.

As for the C. Harris/A. Ball question, I think everyone knows that the series is based on Harris' books (just have a look at the opening credits). But in this case, we are talking about the vision and work of Ms. Ingerslev and Mr. Ball.

Thanks again for your fantastic posts.

Hi Gill,

I am so sorry to hear that you have experienced the negative side of the business and I can now understand where you are coming from. I hope that you do encounter more positive results in your endeavors and I can ensure you that we have only heard extremely positive things about Alan Ball. He is one of the many examples in the industry who makes the working environment enjoyable.

Those were my views. I don't know what else is going on. As a writer and actor I've been given short shrift by people I've worked with and for. I guess I take other people's (imagined) offense as a result.

Hi Gill,

Yes TRUE BLOOD is Alan Ball's creation. As Charlaine Harris herself has said the book series are her babies and TRUE BLOOD the TV series is Alan's baby. Nothing is being taken away from Charlaine Harris as Alan has stated many time the show is BASED on Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series and has NEVER HOGGED anything away from Charlaine. This interview was with the production designer Suzuki Ingerslev where we discussed with her how she and her crew are able to put together and bring the TV series TRUE BLOOD to life.

Once we get an interview with Charlaine Harris we will present it here, however I wish you would at least recognize the hard work that Ms. Ingerslev and her crew's does for creating the imaginary world of TRUE BLOOD for which this article is about.

I would suggest that you read the various interviews that Charlaine Harris and Alan Ball have conduct to see for yourself that they is NO animosity toward each other instead there exist a genuine respect for one another. You comment implies otherwise which is incorrect.

"ALAN BALL'S" series? Puh-leeze--give proper credit to Charlaine Harris, without whom "Alan Ball's" series wouldn't exist. Why no interview with Charlaine Harris? It pisses me off when producers and directors hog all the credit. Who here can name the screenwriters of any blockbuster films? It's always the producer or director who claims all the credit.

Great job of bringing how the set comes to life. I can't wait to read and see more behind the scene pics. She sounds so relaxed about her work which takes an amazing amount of detail to bring to life...
