Charlaine Harris recently spoke at her alma mater, Rhodes College, and explains in the video what is the fascination with vampire and why we love them so much. She states that the interest in vampires has never gone out of style and that Americans in particular are interested in vampires because they stay eternally young and at their peak. As Charlaine, “if that isn’t the American ideal she I don’t know what is.”
