VOTE: True Blood for SFX Sci-Fi Awards 2010

November 9, 2009 by

SFX Sci-Fi Awards 2010The SFX Sci-Fi Awards 2010 will be hosted on February 6 in Camber Sands, UK, and voting is open until December 10 to fans to choose who will take home the awards in 20 of the 25 categories.

True Blood has been nominated for Best TV Show and Anna Paquin has been nominated for “Sexiest Female“, but the other 23 categories have a write in option as well, so you can try to help True Blood win in other areas too.

SFX’s website says:

That scamp Senator Palpatine famously declared “I love democracy.” And so do we at SFX, the world’s number one sci-fi and fantasy magazine. To prove it, we’re offering you the chance to cast your vote in the glitter-drenched SFX Awards 2010. And here’s the truly pulse-quickening bit: we’ll be presenting the awards live in a celebtastic ceremony at the SFX Weekender on Saturday 6 February in Camber Sands!

There are no less than 25 crucial categories this year – 20 you can influence and five special achievement ones decided by the might of the SFX uni-mind – making it the biggest and the best awards we’ve ever done.

In each category there are a few suggestions to help you remember, but feel free to click on Other and enter whatever you like – you can show your support for anything released between 24 September 2008 and 5 December 2009 (which is also the closing date).

Remember that these awards are in the UK, where Season 1 of True Blood is just now airing on BBC 4, so you cannot vote for Season 2 episodes which have not yet been shown there.

If you live in or will be visiting the UK during the weekend of February 5-6, 2010, tickets are available for the SFX Weekender event including the SFX Awards ceremony.
