Anna Paquin Has No Regrets About Coming Out

Anna Paquin is an amazing woman besides being a talented actress. After she came out as bisexual in a PSA for True Colors First, her announcement caused people to rush to watch the PSA and quickly crash the site hosting it. But even now, Anna doesn’t think she did anything amazing by coming out publicly. In a short interview with zap2it.com, she said,

“I’m not someone who endlessly talks about her personal life for no reason, but obviously, as someone who identifies as bisexual, those are issues I really care about — and frankly, I don’t see why everyone doesn’t care about them.”

Anna also said that she wanted to do her part to promote a cause she cares about and supports.

OMG Leslie, there is nothing wrong with her coming out about it. As you said, she is in a loving hetro relationship so what is wrong with being honest about it? She should be honest about it specially to her man. There should not be secrets and that is what it would be if she didn’t say anything to him. He must be ok with it because he has not ran from her. For Anna, it is great that you came out about being bi. There are so many people that are and will never admit it. It is great that you support it also. I do too 🙂 but then again I came out a few years ago as a lesbian. Anyway, take care.

Well all I can say is different strokes etc! I have never had a desire to try the “softer” side of life,but do what makes you feel good. Hopefully this will not effect your up and coming marriage but I’m sure love will win out! (Just be careful with the “weres”,I’ve heard their claws can be sharp!!

MY BIBLE SAYS, “LOVE ONE ANOTHER, AS I HAVE LOVED YOU”— “LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THY SELF”—-“DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE DONE UNTO YOU”. WONDER WHAT BOOK THOSE “CHRISTIANS” READ ? MANY PEOPLE, WHO FEEL TRAPPED, OR “DIFFERENT”, WILL BE HELPED BY ANNA AND ADAM.

Im not bi or anything but recovery has taught me not to judge others and it is what is inside that counts. You are a beautiful person on the inside.

I’ve been engaged to a wonderful man for 4 years & we just got married this past October 2009. I am also bi. As is my husband. Though we are 100% only with each other and have no desire to be with anyone else, it doesn’t erase the past and the fact that we find both genders beautiful. I don’t see what the big deal is about Anna “coming out”. I saw the PSA and pretty much went “Oh, that’s cool. Good for her for supporting a good cause.” She’s only being honest and open about her past and letting people see her completely. Congrats on the engagement by the way Anna!

Sorry, darling Anna, just don’t get why now and why that cause in particular, at the expense of the speculation you have invited into your life. Yes, support of course, but you are in a very visible serious, loving hetero relationship, so I really don’t get why you did this. Just MHO.
