Anna Paquin Gets Added Back to ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’

Fox Will Re-Release This Film Next Summer With the ‘Rogue Cut’:

Anna Paquin (star of HBO's True Blood) is set to reprise the role of Rogue in X-Men: Days of Future PastFans of Anna Paquin (who also starred as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO’s True Blood) were saddened when her character, Rogue, was basically removed (except for a small cameo role) from the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past. However, it seems there is some exciting news in relation to the film’s re-release next summer – Rogue will get more of her story told this time round with the ‘Rogue Cut’ version of the movie to hit the home video platform.

There is no definitive date yet, with Fox announcing only that the director’s cut of the movie will hit the shelves in the first half of 2015. X-Men writer, Simon Kinberg had this to say about the extra ten minutes of footage that will be added back into the movie:

It’s a big chunk, a substantial part of the movie [Anna Paquin’s Rogue storyline]. We want to give [fans] the fullest picture of the film — behind the camera, and in front of it … Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character.

The extra footage relates mostly to Rogue but will also include scenes with other characters. The decision to cut Rogue’s scenes from the original version of the movie came down to the need to streamline the many plots and subplots already in the movie. As a result, Kinberg found that Rogue’s storyline did not quite fit originally with that cut of the movie.

Previously the character of Rogue appeared in X-Men, X-Men 2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. The film also co-stars Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Peter Dinklage.

X-Men fans will be able to look forward to the next installment of the franchise with Simon Kinberg currently writing the script for X-Men: Apocalypse.

New Zealand’s Remix Magazine Celebrates One of Their Own:

Anna Paquin in Issue 83 of Remix magazineSookie Stackhouse is southern all the way with her southern drawl, polite manners and snappy attitude. Anna features on the cover of the magazine, as well as in the feature article on New Zealand heroes. There are plenty of great shots of Anna to enjoy as well.

Check Out These Photo’s of the True Blood Cast From BEFORE They Were on True Blood:

For many True Blood fans, the HBO vampire series introduced them to some amazing new actors. However, these actors weren’t all fresh from acting school. Some, like Denis O’Hare (who played villain Russell Edgington) had starred in many, many TV shows and movies before they were introduced to truebies via True Blood.

So lets have a look at some of them via Mashable’s recent list:

Before Anna Paquin was a telepathic waitress called Sookie Stackhouse, she won an Oscar when she was only a child in a movie called The Piano:

Stephen Moyer starred as Prouix the Architect in Quills alongside Geoffrey Rush and Kate Winslet long before he took on the role Bon Temps resident vampire Bill Compton:

Alexander Skaragard starred in many Swedish movies before starring as a male model called Meekus in Zoolander. However, his earliest role was that of Kalle Nubb in Åke och hans värld (Åke and His World). Of course, we all know him now as the 1000 year old viking vampire, Eric Northman:

Before Ryan Kwanten was a dimwitted southern deputy called Jason Stackhouse, he starred as Vinnie in a long time recurring role on Australia’s Home and Away:

Rutina Wesley may be known as Tara Thornton, the bestie of Sookie who managed to die twice in True Blood, but before that she was Raya Green in How She Move:

Only on True Blood: Lions & Were-Tigers, Oh My!

Stephen Moyer Wanted Were-Tigers, What Did Anna Paquin Want?

True to the End HBO True Blood Season 7 promo posterAt this year’s Comic Con, the cast of HBO’s True Blood got asked many questions, but one in particular caught their imagination: ‘What supernatural creature would you have liked to see on True Blood?’ An EW reporter asked them in the video below. As for Stephen Moyer (who not only plays vampire Bill Compton, but has directed several episodes of True Blood), he would have liked to see his wife and co-star, Anna Paquin (who plays lead character, Sookie Stackhouse) reenact out a scene from the Southern Vampire Mystery books the TV series is based on. The scene involved Sookie riding on the back of a were-tiger through the swamps of Louisiana!

And as for Anna Paquin? What would see have liked to see – supernatural-wise – in True Blood that never made it into any of the seasons? A were-owl! According to Stephen, there was, in fact, an owl in the show, but his wife was quick to point out it was a shapeshifting owl and not, technically, a were-owl.

Find out what the rest of the actors had to say in the full video below:

Anna Paquin on Larry King Now – “Auditioned for The Piano on a Whim”

True Blood Fans Are Glad Anna Paquin Made This Choice:

Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse in HBOs True Blood Season 7Make sure you tune into Larry King Now on Monday 21st July 2014 at 5PM ET for the full interview Larry King did with True Blood star Anna Paquin (who stars as telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse in the HBO vampire series). But, in the meantime, here’s a few snippets to keep you satisfied until then.

In the first sneak peek, we find out that Anna Paquin only decided to audition for The Piano (for which she won an Oscar for her part at the age of only 11!) because she was tagging along with a group of friends – and aren’t we glad she made that snap decision!

In the second sneak peek video we find out just what Anna Paquin thinks of having to act in all the sex scenes on HBO’s True Blood:

In the final sneak peek video we find out just how brutal True Blood Season 7 is going to get! Anna discusses not only the deaths of Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Sookie’s werewolf boyfriend, Alcide (Joe Manganiello), but why HBO chooses to kill off so many of it’s much loved characters – and why they are preferable to a high body count of redshirts. And as for whether Sookie Stackhouse will survive Season 7, well, you’ll just have to watch on:

I can’t wait to watch the full interview on Monday! Let us know if you’ll be tuning in for the complete interview on Larry King Now by commenting below!

VIDEO: True Blood’s Anna Paquin Swears in Interview With Seth Meyers

And Reveals Her True Blood Trailer Left her Without Clothes:

Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO's True BloodRecently, True Blood’s Anna Paquin (who plays the main character of Sookie Stackhouse in the HBO vampire series), sat down for a quick chat with Seth Meyers. At first, all was dandy. She had a lot to say about how sad it was to see True Blood winding up and how HBO was perhaps a little to eager to move on all the actor’s trailers after the last day of filming:

By the time we were done [shooting], um, the power had been shut off to in trailer all ready and I couldn’t find my clothes.

Turns out it was all a misunderstanding though with the trailers having their generators cut accidentally early in order to get them ready for transportation. Then she was excited to talk about what she is planning to do with her family now that True Blood has concluded.

And then Anna dropped a swear word.

When discussing the wardrobe differences between her pre- and post-babies bodies, she accidentally referred to her breasts by another name! But she was quick to gloss it all over when Seth pointed out she apologized for saying ‘baby’ instead of ‘babies’ but not for the swear word:

They’re t*ts, I have them. I’m allowed to call them that. Am I not allowed to say that on network television?… Okay, I’ve been on HBO too long.

Anna Paquin Turns into a Mermaid after True Blood!

Sookie Stackhouse is No More, Stephen Moyer is Impressed:

Anna Paquin (who stars as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO's True Blood) goes for the mermaid lookWhat does a brunette who has been a blond for seven seasons of True Blood do once the show wraps? Go blue and purple of course! While Anna Paquin was happy to dye her naturally brunette tresses blond for the role of Sookie Stackhouse in HBO’s True Blood all those years ago, it seems she now has the seven year itch. Thanks to colorist Aura Friedman from the Sally Hershberger Downtown Salon in New York City, Anna has gotten the chance to finally live out a childhood dream:

Anna just wrapped True Blood and told me that she’d been wanting to color her hair purple and blue since she was 13. She’d wanted that color for years! Luckily, colorist Tracey Cunningham [had] already made her blonde, which makes adding colors like this so much easier. I used four colors—two kinds of blue and two kinds of purple—mixing and diluting the Manic Panic until we got the right shade.

Aura recently told Allure.com.

Anna was quick to hit Twitter with her awesome new look:

And Stephen’s reply?

What do you think of Anna Paquin’s new hair color? Do you think it will create a spate of copycats? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

True Blood Season 7: “Everyone is Fair Game,” says Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin Talks to Huffington Post About True Blood’s Final Season:

Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse in HBOs True Blood Season 7 Episode 3 entitled Fire in the HoleTruebie fans have already come to believe that no one is safe in HBO’s True Blood Season 7 after the recent deaths of two major characters, but now Anna Paquin (who plays Sookie Stackhouse) has confirmed this in a video interview she did recently with Huffington Post:

The first season or two people who were big characters were dying and then there was this sort of lull in the middle where if they were a big character they were probably pretty safe. And I feel, story telling wise, that gets a little safe and our show is not that and so, this year, they literally went; ‘Everyone is fair game.’ And that is, you know, a very specific choice and it keeps everyone, you know, on their toes.

Interviewer, Alyona Minkovski, was quick to jump in and point out the deaths that have occurred so far in Season 7 feel very unceremonious – especially compared to previous seasons of True Blood. Anna confirmed this but also expanded on the idea by explaining that these low key deaths are actually the point. Death is so common on True Blood – and notably more so in Season 7 – that the people of Bon Temps are becoming numb to the constant string of loss.

So when is too much death enough?

VIDEO: Alcide and Sookie Get ‘Friendly’ While Stephen Moyer Looks On!

Joe Manganiello: Sex With Sookie is Awkward With Her Husband Looking On:

Sookie Stackhouse Anna Paquin and Alcide Herveaux Joe Manganiello get cosy in HBO's True Blood Season 7With HBO’s True Blood Season 7 premiere event this week, there has been a glut of information from the stars of the show about what will happen in the final season. Access Hollywood got a chance to talk to Joe Manganiello (who plays Alcide Herveaux) about the new relationship between his character, Alcide, and Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) – and just what it’s like to be directed by Anna’s real life husband, Stephen Moyer (who also stars in True Blood as vampire Bill Compton). When asked whether this situation was awkward or not, his reply was:

Oh course it is… but Stephen and I have such a great friendship and we get along so well together that, you know, we’re professionals. And, obviously, you read that [in the script] and you go “Oh boy, here we go,” but, ah, if we didn’t get along so well together I think it probably could have been weird but it wasn’t.

Stephen Moyer actually has a different take on what it’s like to direct his wife in sex scenes with other actors:

In a funny way, I feel like — without revealing too much — it’s quite interesting for us as a couple because we’ve kind of gone to places where a lot of people don’t get to.  And we’re still here. And I think that’s good for us in a way.

he recently told Entertainment Weekly.

And what about Anna Paquin’s take on it? She also had this to say to Entertainment Weekly:

It’s not as awkward as you would think. If you were to picture the perfect day at work for your spouse, would that be it? Probably not, but this is just kind of how it’s always been. So it doesn’t feel as bizarre.

Besides this awkward and unique situation he also has time to talk about his upcoming role in Magic Mike 2 and how he keeps in shape for the show. You can view the entire interview below:
