With less than a month to go until HBO’s True Blood Season 7 kicks off, there is plenty of anticipation! Fans are scouring the latest teaser videos and promo posters in order to extract every last tasty morsel of information in relation to the very last season of True Blood.
Thanks to a recent on the set interview by TVGuide, there is now a whole lot more to pine over. Husband and wife True Blood actors, Stephen Moyer (who plays Bill Compton), Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse) and showrunner, Brian Buckner had the following to say about True Blood Season 7:
Bill has to kill both a greedy human and a menacing vampire in Season 7. Who they are and whether we know either of them remains to be seen.
The abovementioned deaths involve a bloodbath unheard of – even for True Blood standards. The special effects involved in this gore ridden scene have been dubbed ‘Bellagio‘ (after the famous fountain in Las Vegas)
Season 7 will end on a more personal note according to Brian Buckner:
We’re going back to the original promise of the show: Bill and Sookie. People are going to be very surprised about the way we get there. There’s romance, sadness and resolution.
Nobody is safe. Nobody. With the outbreak of Hep V infected vampires encroaching on Bellefleurs (formerly Merlotte’s), fans had no doubt of this. It will probably come down to just how many of our True Blood faves will succumb.
Sookie cannot save everyone. Anna Paquin had this to say:
The stakes are the highest they’ve ever been. Sookie gets into situations she’s going to need help getting out of.
Bon Temps may be going to hell in a handbasket, but people will still be getting naked! Well, this we probably could have guessed at already, but Brian Buckner has just confirmed it for us.

Will Alcide and Sookie Become True Blood’s Faerie Tale Romance?:

The Season 6 Finale of True Blood flashed forward 6 months and showed a very happy and in love, Sookie(Anna Paquin) and Alcide(Joe Manganiello). Sookie has sworn off vampires(for maybe the 100th time) so we are sure that Sookie and Alcide will live happily ever after…NOT! Though Alcide is the suitor closest to a human that Sookie has fallen for in the 6 seasons(with the exception of Sam), it makes sense that the storyline would put these two together(since Sam is no longer available).
TVline.com got an exclusive interview with True Blood Show Runner, Brian Buckner and he dished on the Season 7 Alcide/Sookie Scoop!
“The show has flirted with a Sookie and Alcide romance for years. Why was now the right time to pull the trigger on that?
In a world where almost everybody is a creature of some kind, Alcide is the most human of all of our creatures. Now, that’s not to say that it was his most human season. We all felt the same thing that the audience was feeling, which was that Alcide needed to come back to center. So it was that as much as anything else. And it was also that Sookie’s going to put her money where her mouth is and say “no more vampires.” She got into it with Warlow without knowing he was a vampire, so she was trying. But this shows growth for Sookie. I mean, I suppose he’s a hunk, so at least she’s still getting her piece. [Laughs] He’s the most normal, most human, most down-to-earth of any of her suitors. To me, with Eric gone and off on his own story going forward, I think it’s a pretty obvious triangle we’re setting up between Bill and Sookie and Alcide.”

I only have two issue with the Sookie/Alcide love story…Didn’t Eric glamour Alcide into never touching Sookie? Wasn’t Sookie supposed to repulse Alcide? I may have missed the un-glamour moment…What do you think Truebies? Is there a contradiction here? Number two, I love the Eric/Sookie/Bill love triangle…not sure the Alcide/Sookie/Bill triangle is going to do it for me!

True Blood’sSeason 6 took Bill(Stephen Moyer) on a intense journey, as we saw the depth of his character continue to progress. He was the egomancial Billith, then the concerned Father, then the attempted Martyr, and by the finale we saw the side of Bill that we all fell in love with in Season 1. Billith is no more, and yet the experience will surely live in him and impact future choices he makes. But what can we expect from Season 7? TVline got the dirt with Show RunnerBrian Buckner, where he finally had the opportunity to speak out after the Season 6 finale.
When Asked if “Season 7 would be a Reset of sorts for Bill” Brian responds:
“Absolutely. We don’t want Bill to be an a—hole. The question we’re going to be asking this coming season is: Can Bill be forgiven? Because he made his intentions clear. I think Bill doesn’t have a trick up his sleeve this time. I think he’s genuine. The real question is about forgiveness.”
I don’t think that Bill should be the only one headed on a pursuit of forgiveness, after all Faerie Princess Sookie Stackhouse(Anna Paquin) did try to stake him…

With the Season 6 Finale of True Blood less than a week away, there is the lingering possibility that the Season 6 major character death is still to come. Fans watched with awe and sadness in Episode 6, when the lovable and tormented Terry Bellefleur(Todd Lowe) set the wheels in motion to put an end to his tortured life. We knew almost immediately that Terry would be the “major” character death of Season 6. Episode 7 confirmed our feelings, and yet the death of Terry Bellefleur for some was a little anti-climatic. Yes Terry has been in the series since the beginning, but Terry? The major character death?
I would like to propose another twist that the major character death is still to come in the Season 6 Finale which aires next Sunday August 18 on HBO. The major character death could in fact be none other than Bon Temps favourite telepath, Sookie Stackhouse(Anna Paquin).
What we know:
1) Sookie has promised to become Warlow(Rob Kazinsky’s) faerie vampire bride, this can only be achieved with the “death” of Sookie. Sookie reconfirmed her promise to Warlow in Episode 9.
2) Sookie does not want to die and be buried next to her parents for all of eternity.
3) Sookie’s “death” would not mean the end of her time on the show True Blood, it would mark the beginning of a very interesting storyline.
It has been said in an interview that the finale brings “game changer” status to True Blood. Having Sookie become a vampire would definitely be a game changer, since we have spent the past 5 seasons listening to her say that she would never turn into a vampire…
So Truebies what do you think? Will Sookie go through with the faerie vampire wedding, marking the “real” major character death of the season?
While Anna Camp is thoroughly enjoying the return of her character, Sarah Newlin, to HBO’s True Blood Season 6, it seems she very nearly made it to the True Blood big time: Sookie Stackhouse (played by Anna Paquin).
With her big hair, southern hospitality and an aversion to vampires, Sarah has turned out to be the villain Truebies just love to hate. It’s a challenge she thoroughly enjoys too.
When you have the mean girl, you can’t just hate her. You’ve got to love to hate her. There’s a certain line you have to walk to play the mean girl. You obviously can’t be in on the joke, but you have to commit to it.
While Camp enjoys playing the nasty characters, True Blood’s first showrunner, Alan Ball, had a different idea. Originally, he had Anna Camp try out for the role of Sookie Stackhouse! It seems that Anna wasn’t so sure she’d fit the part. And once she saw Anna Paquin trying out for the role, she knew it wasn’t going to come to pass:
We passed each other in the hallway, and I was like, ‘Oh, Anna Paquin. She’s totally going to get this.’
While Anna Camp may have missed a golden opportunity at a long time role on True Blood, fans sure a happy with her portrayal of Sarah Newlin. While Sarah is the villain we all love to hate, it has come down entirely to the brilliant portrayal of the character by Anna Camp.

Sookie tells it like it is in Season 6 of True Blood:
Access Hollywood was on site at Comic Con 2013 to talk with the stars of the shows. HBO’s True Blood, is always a favourite though and this conversationw with AnnaPaquin, one of the original cast who has been in all of the 6 seasons, was quite enlightening!
First questions is usually about the baby body, and how did she get back her figure?!
“Its been an intense year, and I’m very naked on our show, so I had babies over the hiatus so that’s why I don’t look like I had babies over Hiatus.” Anna shrugs.
Anna gets naked alot with the new co-star Rob Kazinsky
“It’s always fun getting new blood, pardon the pun. He’s really wonderful … it’s always fun to have new people to play with.”
Did you have to coach Rob through the nude scenes, because he’s naked a lot!
“Nah, it’s like ripping a band aid off… usually someone in the first week gets their clothes taken away from them and it’s like, welcome to True Blood!”
In Season6we are seeing a bit of a return to old school True Blood, don’t you think?
“The show has grown and changed and gone from sort of taking on the global issues and the world, and now coming back to the small town and the central aspects of what the show is about… its exciting to be a part of a show that has these sort of phase of storytelling and I’m so excited to still be here.”
And with Season 7 just having been announced, how do you feel?
“Really excited… Especially when you consider I didn’t even know if the pilot was going to be picked up. When I first saw the script I thought either I’m on crack or this is the best thing I’ve ever read!”
When she was asked about the fact that Alexander Skarsgard was not there does that mean anything??
Anna replied: “I would obviously not be allowed to answer that. ”
Since we know there are going to be deaths in this season, I guess what we, as the audience, want to know is, it going to be shocking, will we need tissues or therapy?!
“We generally make some people angry, some people happy and some people cry. And that’s just pretty much what we go for.”
So at the halfway point of the season, what can we expect to see?
“Daddy dearest wanted to drown me… um, whoops! Bit of a life changer there…. The last shred of feel good about yourself is gone! The former love of her life is not so awesome right now… more like at the throwing plates at each other’s heads stage, not the lets curl up and have a cuddle stage… she and Eric, are just not going to work right now, there is a lot of love, but it’s wrong place wrong time… with a lot of stuff going on, well, it’s got to be resolved.”
Hoping the resolution comes soon. Waiting sucks! But in the meantime, you can view the video in its entirety below:

It appears that the 2013 Comic-Con was yet again a success for the True Blood cast and fans! Even though our two favourite male vamps were absent( Alexander Skarsgard, and Stephen Moyer) the panel pulled through with lots of insight on the remainder of the season! The panel included Anna Paquin, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Nelsan Ellis, Deborah Ann Woll, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Joe Manganiello, Anna Camp, Michael McMillian and Rob Kazinsky. The True Blood Panel was moderated by TV GuidesKate Hahn.

True Blood newbie Rob Kazinsky is bowled over by the reception he’s getting from Comic-Con fans. He also promises we’ll get both light and dark from Warlow this season. “You’re going to see some gnarly stuff!”
Buckner promises that True Blood will “return to its roots” at the end of this season, returning focus to its core characters: “We’re really going to make it feel like we’re coming home.”
True Blood Season 6 Half Way Finished-Where Will the Next Episode Take Us?:

We are half way through Season 6 of HBO’s hit show True Blood, and things just keep heating up! The war between vampires and humans continues to escalate, while love and loyalties will continue to be tested. We know that a major character is supposed to die in Season 6, and that it is to happen around the half way point, could Episode 6 be the ending for one our beloved characters?
HBO has released the details of Episode 6 of True Blood:
“Bill (Stephen Moyer) decides to seek out Lillith (Jessica Clark) for advice on handling the escalating human-vampire crisis. Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), Pam(Kristin Bauer van Straten), Nora (Lucy Griffiths),Jason (RyanKwanten) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) get up-close-and-personal looks at the perverse perils of Vamp Camp. Sam (Sam Trammell) comes to a decision he hopes will be in Emma’s (Chloe Noelle) best interest. Andy (Chris Bauer) gives his faerie daughter a name, or two or three or four. Arlene (Carrie Preston) has a solution to Terry’s (Todd Lowe) malaise, and Eric makes a startling discovery”.

I can’t help but notice that the main character Sookie Stackhouse(Anna Paquin) and Lafayette Reynolds(Nelsan Ellis) are not mentioned in the Press Release, when we last saw these two Layfayette’s body had been taken over by Sookie’s deceased father, who was trying to drown Sookie…I wonder if this storyline could be the major death plot line…Guess we will have to just wait and see!

HBO has released two new clips for tomorrow’s Season 6 Episode 5 of True Blood! The first clip entitled “From Bad to Worse” we see Jessica (Deborah AnnWoll) reaching out to Jason(Ryan Kwanten) after she has drained the four faerie Bellefleurs…it is obvious that there is still chemistry between the two, maybe this will be the beginning of a rekindling of an old romance!
The second clip entitled “Love Is” features Sookie(Anna Paquin) and Ben(Rob Kazinsky) a.k.a. Warlow, Sookie is beyond upset about Ben trying to trick her, and Ben expresses his love for her. This clip is setting the stage for the revelation that there is more to the Warlow story, and the death of Sookie’s parents.

True Blood fans from all over the world are gearing up to attend San Diego’s Comic Con International. Once again, the cast of HBO’s True Blood will be in Ballroom 20 on Saturday July 20 at 3:30 PM to tease plot lines and answer fan questions live. Entertainment Weekly’s Tim Stack will again be the panel moderator. Scheduled to appear:
