During the red carpet arrivals of the stars at the 66th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 11, 2009, Anna Paquin from Alan Ball’s hit TV series “True Blood” was interviewed by ET. Anna discussed that this was her first time at the Golden Globe and it she was in awe with it all. The reporter asked her to pick a card in play a game and the card read, “what secret could you dress tell?” In response Anna stated that the dress would not tell because she does not tell secrets.

True Blood’s Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin attended the the 66th Golden Globes held in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 11, 2209. This video shows Anna winning the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Drama and getting a kiss and a hug from Stephen Moyer and Alan Ball. On the other side of the globe Anna Paquin’s family learned that she won Best Actress in TV Drama on Monday, mid-afternoon New Zealand time. Her family back home in New Zealnd stated that they were very excited and proud for her win and that “we’ll certainly be toasting Anna tonight, we’ll crack open a bottle of bubbly and toast her.” Now only will Anna’s family will soon have the opportunity to see Anna’s performance on “True Blood,” but so will the rest of New Zealand when Season 1 of “True Blood” premieres sometime in February. Based on the success it has had in North America it seems that it is destined to be a hit when it premieres across Europe, Asia, Isreal, South America, Australia and New Zealand.
