Meet-ups at Comic-Con with HBO, Trubeverage.com and CAST OF TRUE BLOOD!

true-blood-comic-con-happy-hour1HBO through it’s Trubeverage.com site will be sponsoring 3 separate ‘Happy Hours’ at three different locations over the course of this weekend’s Comic-con 2009.  Thursday and Friday, July 23-24, 7-9 pm (so that’s really 2 hours of happy!) at two local establishments, Rock Bottom and Prohibition, those over the age of 21 can mingle with fellow True Blood fans.

On Saturday, July 25th, from 7pm to 10 pm (that’s 3 hours of happiness!) Trubeverage.com, HBO and Skyy Vodka will be sponsoring a longer fan meet-up, this time at the Bondi bar.  You still have to be 21 with ID to prove it, of course.  And at this event there will also be exclusive comic-con giveaways!

So wash the coffin dust out of your mouth all three days with the help of HBO and Trubeverage.com (and Skyy Vodka)!  And remember to drink responsibly (leave those humans alone)!

true-blood-comic-conAdditionally, At 9 PM on Saturday there is the ‘Sexy Hero’s Ball’ hosted by Legendary Press at the Voyeur Night Club, 755 Fifth Ave in San Diego, CA, WITH THE CAST OF TRUE BLOOD! (As a reminder, the cast that will be attending Comic-con will be: Alan Ball, Charlaine Harris, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Rutina Wesley, Michelle Forbes, Alexander Skarsgard, Nelsan Ellis, Sam Trammell, Deborah Ann Woll.  No guarantee they will all be at this event.) You must be 21 and presale tickets for mere mortals can be had for a mere $15.  The party will be DJ’d by Joel Madden from Good Charlotte and hosted by VH1’s Jeremy Jackson.  The red carpet starts at 8pm.  Also available are live paintings by Rick Bliss, and giveaways by Ed Hardy, Mobigrip and others.  This party is brought to you by Rage1 Entertainment / Catalyst Productions and you can RSVP for free or preorder for $15.

Trick ‘r Treat With Anna Paquin Screening At Comic-Con

Recently we posted an article from DreadCentral about the premiere of Trick ‘r Treat at the Toronto After Dark Horrorfest with Anna Paquin who plays Sookie Stackhouse on Alan Ball‘s hit HBO TV vampire series True Blood.  It appears people attending Comic-con are going to be getting a get a “True Treat”.  Anna will be doing double time at the San Diego Comic-con were she will be present at two panels. The True Blood panel will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 in Ballroom 20 from 5:15pm-6:15pm and the Trick ‘r Treat panel, along with the premiere of the movie, in will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009 in Ballroom 20 from 9:30 pm till 12 midnight.  Ain’t It Cool News mogul Harry Knowles will be moderating.  The Trick ‘r Treat panel will feature Michael Dougherty(creator and producer) and members of the cast, including Anna Paquin (“True Blood“, X-Men), Tahmoh Penikett (“Battlestar Galactica”, “Dollhouse”) and Brian Cox (The Bourne Identity, X2). Trick ‘r Treat will be released on Blu-ray Hi-Def and DVD and On Demand by Warner Home Video in October. There has not been an exact release date as of yet. Comic-Con Update On True Blood Panel

comi-conCynthia Adkins reported in the “San Diego City Guide Examiner” Charlaine Harris author of the “Sookie Stackhouse Books” will be appearing with Alan Ball’s cast of True Blood On July 25th.

This was the only recent information published on the event.  We Promise to keep you informed as the event news comes in. Hopefully some lucky True Blood Fans were able to score tickets!

Updated List of TV Panel at 2009 San Diego Comic Con

000250883According to aceshowbiz.com Alan Ball‘s hit HBO TV vampire series True Blood has confirmed that it will be attending the San Diego’s Comic-Con, however the exact time, date and location of the panel has still not been set yet.  More updates will be made available on TrueBloodNet.com as more information comes out.

Below in an updated schedule of the events.

The TV panel for this year’s San Diego Comic Con is shaping up with the announcement of more date confirmations. It is now known that “Lost” will be presented on Saturday, July 25 at Hall H, starting 11 A.M. until noon. Considering that the upcoming season will be the last for the series, the line for the panel is expected to be one of the longest.

Also being updated are the time and place for new series “Flash Forward” and “Human Target”. The former will have one-hour session on Friday, July 24 beginning 11:45 A.M. at room 6A, while the latter is among the Saturday line-up, taking the 4:45 P.M. to 5:45 P.M. slot at Room 6BCF. The latest updated version of other panels is listed below.

Meanwhile, question mark is still surrounding “Ghost Whisperer”, “Legend of the Seeker”, “The Prisoner” and “True Blood”. The shows have confirmed their participation’s but the date and venue have not been announced yet. Rumors are also still busting for the presence of “24”, “Battlestar Galactica: The Plan”, “Bones” and “Glee”.
