True Blood Star Rob Kazinsky Teases the Best is Yet to Come:

Robert Kazinsky stars as Ben Flynn/Warlow in HBO's True Blood Season 6

Truebies Rejoice! Rob Kazinsky, the faery-vampire hybrid obsessed with Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) teases that some of his best scenes on True Blood are yet to be seen.  A fan on Twitter asked him what the highlight of his experience on the show has been so far, and his reply was:

That’s all still to come!

Whoa! Does this mean there are more exploding light sex scenes with Sookie? A fight with Bilith (Stephen Moyer) perhaps? Fans can’t wait to find out!

Apart from his role as Ben/Warlow, Kazinsky stars in the action/sci-fi flick Pacific Rim, out in theaters now.

The entire cast of the X-Men: Days Future and Present appeared in front of screaming fans at this past weekend’s Comic Con in San Diego.  Our very own Anna Paquin who plays Faerie Princess Sookie Stackhouse was among the cast members to show their support at the 2013 Comic Con.  Though, she was not alone..”Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McEvoy, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Hugh Jackman and others made for an impressive panel”

We look forward to seeing and supporting Anna in this new and different role…though she will always be Sookie Stackhouse to us Truebies!

True Blood Cast Interviewed at Comic Con 2013

True Blood Unleashes on Comic Con 2013:

Comic-Con-2013-Joe Manganiello

The 2013 Comic Con was a buzz with True Blood Cast and fans this past weekend in San Diego! TvLine caught up with several of our recurring and newer cast members with the hopes that the True Blood Cast would spill on the remainder of the season!

Kristin Bauer van Straten, Deborah Ann Woll, Anna Camp, Michael McMillian, and Joe Manganiello participated in the interview!

When asked “Who will give the Season finale tease?” Michael McMillian replied “Game Changer”. Joe Manganiello, added that while during the season the cast mates felt that they were filming on entirely different TV shows, “by the end, it is one show”.

I don’t know about the rest of you Truebies but I’m very excited to see how this season plays out…and I’m really hopeful that Michael is right and that a major “game changer” comes our way!

Changes for True Blood and Alcide: Joe Manganiello Tells All

The Plot Thickens for Joe Manganiello and Alcide Herveaux:

Joe Manganiello as Alcide Herveaux

If you were as excited as we were to hear that Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) father Jackson Herveaux (Robert Patrick) was going to be a regular character on True Blood during Season 6, you probably also notice that we have yet to see much of him.

Manganiello spoke of this recently at Comic-Con, saying that he’s been off on his own this season and away from the rest of the regulars. There were, however, original plans for much more screen time between Alcide and his father:

“I haven’t really interacted with any of the series regulars … It’s kind of like my own little spin-off. There was more [with me and Robert Patrick], but they changed the storyline and [there’s now all this footage that is not a part of the show].”

The change might have occured due to the recent showrunner shuffle: Marc Hudis was the original showrunner of the season but was replaced halfway by Brian Buckner.

Even with all of the changes, the buff actor assured that the characters will come together by the end of the season.

How so? We’ll just have to tune in to HBO every Sunday at 9 p.m. to see!

True Blood Panel Comic Con 2013 -Live Blog

True Blood Cast Represents at Comic Con:

True Blood's Michael Mcmillian, Anna Camp, and Rob Kazinsky
Credit: 2013 Warner Bros Entertainment Inc Comic Con

It appears that the 2013 Comic-Con was yet again a success for the True Blood cast and fans! Even though our two favourite male vamps were absent( Alexander Skarsgard, and Stephen Moyer) the panel pulled through with lots of insight on the remainder of the season! The panel included Anna Paquin, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Nelsan Ellis, Deborah Ann Woll, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Joe Manganiello, Anna Camp, Michael McMillian and Rob Kazinsky. The True Blood Panel was moderated by TV Guides Kate Hahn.

The True Blood segment kicked off with a video clip of teasers for the 2nd half of the current Season 6. Truebloodnet.com has posted this video if you are eager to check it out!

Here are a few favourite questions and responses:

“Ryan Kwanten on Jason’s “noble” quest to find his parents’ killer – “There’s a lot more in store for Jason – he gets real crazy, real soon. He likes to think he’s Rambo, but fails miserably!”

Deborah Ann Woll on Jessica’s self loathing following season six’s dark twists: “Jessica’s going to have to pay dearly within her own heart for what happened – it’s going to take a long time for her to forgive herself.”

True Blood newbie Rob Kazinsky is bowled over by the reception he’s getting from Comic-Con fans. He also promises we’ll get both light and dark from Warlow this season. “You’re going to see some gnarly stuff!”

Buckner promises that True Blood will “return to its roots” at the end of this season, returning focus to its core characters: “We’re really going to make it feel like we’re coming home.”

Valarie Pettiford Joins the Cast of True Blood for Season 6

Broadway Star Valarie Pettiford Joins the Cast of True Blood in a Recurring Role:

There is a new face in Bon Temps. Valarie Pettiford, star of stage and screen, has joined the cast of True Blood in a recurring role in season 6. Pettiford who will play Mary, mother of Nicole(Jurnee Smollett-Bell) will appear in a two-episode arc starting in Episode 7 “World Without End,” which is scheduled to air on July 28, 2013.

Pettiford weighs in on what it’s like to work with the cast of True Blood:

Working on this show has been a delicious experience. It has been an absolute joy to work with a cast of this caliber. Everyone has been so lovely – they say it starts at the top, and on True Blood it really does.

Pettiford is a Fosse-trained dancer, and has been sanctioned by the Fosse/Verdon estate to reconstruct the legend’s choreography for master classes in New York City with fellow Fosse-alum Lloyd Culbreath.

She also has danced in national tours such as “Dancin’ “and “Show Boat”. She has appeared in hit sitcoms (“Half and Half” and “House of Payne”) and big budget films (“Stomp the Yard,” “Jumping the Broom”).  A Tony award nomination, NAACP award nomination, and Best Actress honors for the festival short “The Response” are among her many accolades.

Her second album, a collection of original lullabies entitled “Velvet Sky,” was released last fall.

True Blood’s Chris Bauer: The Actor’s Experience of Andy’s Season 6 Journey

Chris Bauer Discusses Andy’s Future:

As if Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) hasn’t put up with enough with all of the shenanigans Bon Temps throws at him, he’s left with dealing with four fae daughters at the start of Season 6 of True Blood. Things only seem to be getting worse for the town sherriff, especially after the recent death of three of his ‘young’ ones due to one of our favorite redheaded vampires. Actor Chris Bauer spoke about his specific role this season as a father, incest, and his own Alexander Skarsgard impression.

When asked about the direction Andy is headed in now that recent events have changed things for him, Bauer commented:

“Andy really has to draw a line for himself between power and powerless. And I personally find that line to be one of the most deep and rich veins of humanity. There’s a lot of hubris that goes into thinking you can avenge anything, that you can affect the world in such a way that creates justice. On the other hand, there’s a lot of shame and impotence if you can’t affect your world at all. I think it’s extremely human.”

To add to the sherriff’s plate, Andy must learn how to take care of four ever-growing girls.

How did he deal with the rapid speed of time?:

“We had to discuss how emotionally invested you can get in people in three days. You have to take in that it’s three days in True Blood time, not three days in real time. So I did have to figure out how to manifest a subtle level of realism, because I’ve only known these girls for a few days, which is a slightly different emotional frequency than if they had been 18. But our actual human response to children is a sense of instant bond, instant protection, instant affection, instant concern for their well-being and future. So I just went to that.”

In reality, however, Bauer commented that due to his own “immature” nature, he didn’t speak too much to the many actresses playing his children, but the young ones made him feel right at home as if he were home with his own daughter when she was that young.

“They didn’t understand things like camera direction or how to find the lens, so when you do those scenes with the little teeny girls early on in the season, I would say my line and remind them where to look, remind them what to say, they would have their reaction, and I would say my line, and they would just cut out all my on-camera direction. It was very cute.”

When asked about the ancestral incest found in the show, particularly in his Andy’s storyline with the romatic encounter between Andy’s sister Portia and Bill(Stephen Moyer) (and Bill being Portia’s great-great-great-great grandfather), Bauer agreed that while it’s also confusing, it raises the stakes on his daughters’ attack. The event refocuses one of the show’s original themes of character interaction in a world with very different types of people.

“It’s like two species trying to get along, even though externally we look the same. That’s where all the racism, all the homophobia, all the sexism, all the diminishing-others-for-their-differences comes from. It’s so applicable.”

As for the writing process, the actor said he has not spoken with the writers to pitch ideas. Everyone involved is rarely even together, he said, except for the table reads.

From being a part of these, he has a message for the world:

“The world needs to know that Sam Trammell does a spot-on impression of Alex Skarsgård. Sam is like a character actor in a leading man’s body. It’s ingenious. I’ve tried to do it myself, and I can’t do it. But when Sam does it, it sounds like Eric, and it has this breathy trace of a Swedish accent, you know what I mean? It’s brilliant. I’ve tried to do Joe — I can’t. And it’s not that hard to do Andy. [Laughs.] You just have to growl while you talk.”

We can’t wait to see the rest of Andy’s emotional journey this season!

True Blood Season 6 Half Way Finished-Where Will the Next Episode Take Us?:

True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard and Kristin Bauer van Straten
True Blood/HBO/John P. Johnson

We are half way through Season 6 of HBO’s hit show True Blood, and things just keep heating up!  The war between vampires and humans continues to escalate, while love and loyalties will continue to be tested.  We know that a major character is supposed to die in Season 6, and that it is to happen around the half way point, could Episode 6 be the ending for one our beloved characters?

HBO has released the details of Episode 6 of True Blood:

Bill (Stephen Moyer) decides to seek out Lillith (Jessica Clark) for advice on handling the escalating human-vampire crisis. Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten), Nora (Lucy Griffiths), Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) get up-close-and-personal looks at the perverse perils of Vamp Camp. Sam (Sam Trammell) comes to a decision he hopes will be in Emma’s (Chloe Noelle) best interest. Andy (Chris Bauer) gives his faerie daughter a name, or two or three or four. Arlene (Carrie Preston) has a solution to Terry’s (Todd Lowe) malaise, and Eric makes a startling discovery”.

This episode is written by Daniel Kenneth and Directed by Howard Deutch.

I can’t help but notice that the main character Sookie Stackhouse(Anna Paquin) and Lafayette Reynolds(Nelsan Ellis) are not mentioned in the Press Release, when we last saw these two Layfayette’s body had been taken over by Sookie’s deceased father, who was trying to drown Sookie…I wonder if this storyline could be the major death plot line…Guess we will have to just wait and see!

Episode 6 aires this Sunday July 21 on HBO at 9:00pm ET/PT.

Spoiler: True Blood’s Rob Kazinsky Talks Season 6 Major Twist

Episode 4 Brings Major Plot Twist as Warlow is Revealed:

True Blood's Rob Kazinsky

The major twist in the Season 6 Episode 4 of True Blood was revealed and left many fans shocked at what happened! Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) new love interest Ben Flynn(Rob Kazinsky) is exposed as none other than the infamous Warlow.  Not only is Ben revealed as Warlow, but we find out that Ben is half vampire, half faerie!! Some may have seen the writing on the wall, after all since when has Sookie been attracted to anyone that is any good for her?  Warlow is responsible for the deaths of Sookie’s parents, and has been promised Sookie herself.  From what we know of Sookie, she won’t be giving into Ben/Warlow very easily!

Access Hollywood had the chance to catch up with Bon Temps newest heartthrob and here is what he had to say about his secret identity finally being revealed:

It’s cool… Ben has always seemed like a very bland character because you [couldn’t] show the fact that Ben was Warlow, otherwise it gives away the whole season’s secret. This is actually the first conversation I’ve been able to have where I say, ‘I’m Warlow.’ I didn’t even know when I got the job that I was Warlow. I auditioned to play Ben and then I actually found out from costume, way after I got cast, that I was playing Warlow. I’d watched Season 5. I’d seen everything. I was like, Warlow’s a bada**. I get to be a vampire-fairy? That’s cool as hell. And I’ve got so many things that I want to talk about, about Warlow. It’s so good to see that villains can have shades… that he doesn’t have to be an automatic evil vampire thing and the idea that he is a fairy? It has been hypothesized that Warlow could be a fairy-vampire, but what you’re about to see and what he is, is gonna supersede any kind of preconceived notions that people had of what that means.

One thing is for certain this reveal is going to make Ben/Warlow have to work especially hard if he hopes to genuinely win over the heart of the fairy princess Sookie! How this story unfolds will be sure to keep the Truebie fans on the edge of their seats!

Spoiler: True Blood: Will Eric Northman Meet the True Death?

Alexander Skarsgard Teases True Blood Season 6:

True Blood's Eric Northman

With the human war on vampires in full swing on Season 6 of True Blood, all the fans are curious to discover who will actually live through the season! Alexander Skarsgard, who portrays the hunky Viking Eric Northman, teases about the war on vampires:

“There’s a war going on this season because for the first time in 1,000 years, humans are a real threat. Eric’s been busy fighting witches and other vampires, but never humans. You’ll find out how and why, but humans have become a danger”.

Skarsgard hinted that one particular scene was very emotional for him:

“I recently had to do a very emotional scene with a blood bag. I can’t talk about it too much, but that was quite difficult”.

Is this the end of Eric Northman? Is our favorite Viking meeting the “True Death”? It is a valid concern, considering Skarsgard is becoming quite the movie star.  He has three movies in theaters this summer: The East, Disconnect, and What Maisie KnewThe East is a suspense-thriller co-staring the indie favorite Ellen Page (Juno, Inception) It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year.  Disconnect explores the effects of modern technology on human relationships.  What Maisie Knew co-stars Julianne Moore and concerns two parents stuck in a bitter custody battle.

Skarsgard’s star is on the rise, which means True Blood might be losing our favorite vampire.  Let’s hope Eric is hanging around for another 1,000 years.

The other Stackhouse sibling Jason (Ryan Kwanten) will also be reconnected with his past through two of his past lovers: Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), of course, and none other than the former Mrs. Reverend Steve Newlin herself, Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp), who fans had the pleasure of seeing once again in episode three.
