True Blood‘s Anna Camp Returns for Pitch Perfect 2:
Well, here it is – the first sneak peek trailer for Pitch Perfect 2! Anna Camp returns to the cult classic in the making to play the uptight Aubrey. In Pitch Perfect 2, we find the a cappella group the Barden Bellas entering into an international competition that no American team has ever won. Will they succeed where so many others have failed?
Returning alongside Anna Camp (who played Sarah Newlin in HBO’s True Blood) will be Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Hana Mae Lee, Skylar Astin, Elizabeth Banks and Adam DeVine. The movie is slated for release on May 15th 2014. The Universal Pictures movie is from a screenplay written by Kay Cannon and Mickey Rapkin. Actor Elizabeth Banks not only stars in the show as Gail, but will be directing as well.
It will be very interesting to see whether Pitch Perfect 2 will live up to the high expectations of the first movie – or will it go the way of most sequels and be a flop? Judging by the video below however, I am guessing we just may have a winner on our hands.

With Ryan Kwanten back home in Australia after the Season 7 finale of HBO’s True Blood, there has been a flurry of media interviews. His latest occurred on Channel Ten’s The Project, a news and current affairs show featuring Rove McManus alongside other Australian media representatives. A relaxed Kwanten (who stared as the bumbling yet hunky Jason Stackhouse throughout all seven seasons of True Blood) chatted comfortably about many confronting issues bought up by The Project, including:
With the release of True Blood: The Complete Series and True Blood: The Complete Seventh Season approaching fast, Truebies just can’t see, to get enough of the little sneak peeks into the behind the scenes of HBO’s True Blood!
With the 11th November 2014 release date for True Blood: The Complete Series and True Blood: The Complete Seventh Season, there has been a flurry of competition activity in relation to this final event in the life (and death) of True Blood. But what extras are included?
Who knew True Blood actor Joe Manganiello (who played werewolf Alcide Herveaux in the HBO vampire series) could impersonate Kermit the Frog so well? Or his Sabotage co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger? How about Rodney Dangerfield, Christopher Walken and Pee Wee Herman? Turns out he is an expert at all these voices, and more!
Usually June means just one thing to Truebies: the latest season of True Blood! But, alas, next June will not mean that at all now that the vampire series has been staked by HBO. So what will HBO be filling the June void with? True Detective is the answer. While there isn’t a vampire in sight in this show, it may be worth checking out if you haven’t done so already. June will see the return of True Detective for Season 2 this is a change from it’s January 2014 start date for Season 1. You can view the synopsis on the show below:
Considering us truebies have nothing to watch this Sunday, it seems HBO has taken pity on us and released the entire video of the True Blood panel interview from San Diego’s Comic Con 2014. So sit back for the next hour, and get stuck into watching – and reminiscing – about the very last time there will be True Blood panel at Comic Con. Just be warned though, Kristin Bauer van Straten (who plays vampire Pam) is crying as she walks onto stage, so make sure you have the tissues ready! And remember, watching it in hindsight is completely different to previously too because we all know exactly what they are talking about when they hint at upcoming events on True Blood Season 7.
For newcomer, Riley Smith, joining the cast of HBO’s True Blood was daunting, but the cast welcomed him with open arms – especially Anna Paquin (who plays main character Sookie Stackhouse)!
Over the last few seasons of HBO’s True Blood, we have gotten a chance to see behind the scenes of some scenes and episodes thanks to serial blogger, Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll). Now we see the tides turned on her as her maker, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), who is dying from Hep-V, leaves his own video message to Jess on her computer.
It has been twenty four hours now since HBO’s final episode ever of True Blood, fans have watched and rewatched the Season 7 finale episode (entitled Thank You) and are now searching for every last little scrap of True Blood footage out there.
Recently, Nathan Parsons (who plays vampire James and the latest love interest of Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) on HBO’s True Blood) was interviewed by Access Hollywood about saying goodbye to True Blood and what is next on the cards for him.
