True Blood Season 3 Spoiler News: What’s Happening With Eric and Sookie

Not a very big spoiler news report and maybe nothing really new or shocking, however, it is always fun to hear these little tidbits that allows us to speculate further as to what may happen in season 3 of True Blood.  SpoilerTV responds to a fan’s question regarding Eric and Sookie‘s relationship and provides the following answer.

What’s coming for Eric in Season 3? And what about his relationship with Sookie?

We’ll get alot more backstory seeing both his parents in flashbacks. As for Eric/Sookie they continue to have the same sexual tension as season 2 but they won’t be a true couple anytime soon. Eric will also
have other love interests this season.

So there you have it.  Eric and Sookie may not be getting hot and bothered with each other, but it seems Eric is going to have some fun anyway.

Well spoken I agree. The books and the show maybe somewhat different ( I wouldnt know since i have not read any of them) But Alan Ball owns the rights to this show and I think that he and the writers do a fine job. AB keeps us entertained and he keeps us guessing…If he were to follow the books by the letter,Then Everyone who has read them would know exactly What would happen…Not very exciting,huh?
This is His vision thats Not to say that You cannot develop your Own according to what you have read in the books.
I think that He is highly capable and adept at keeping the storylines fresh and interesting~~~although I admit that sometimes they are a bit much.
I’m sure that All of us here are team TB. Let us support the show and the cast and crew and not quibble among ourselves.

At This point,Sookie cannot stand Eric. However,I’m hoping that something will develop between them. The sexual tension is growing and Sookie’s dreams of Eric are getting more intense.
I would bet that she feels Something for him. Besides,With Bill gone and Sam off looking for his family and Tara who knows where she is? Eric may very well be the Only 1 left for her to go to for help in finding Bill! While, I’d agree that the B/S relationship is what drives the show,It adds that much tension and drama to see how Sookie will deal with all of this! She wants to know who and what she is? Now perhaps she can begin to find out! Whether or not Eric can help her with this remains to be seen. I think that Sookie should be permitted to grow and explore other options. She may not believe that Bill walked out on her,If he Were ready to abandon her,Why would he take the trouble to propose first? Doesnt make sense! She may know that something happened She is gonna need help in finding him.
Perhaps,Eric and/or Alcide can help but for a price?
Anyway, I hope that Sookie and Eric Do come together if for nothing more than to help each other and get some banter going!

Billy Zane, now that his name is in the mix, sounds okay as a Quinn, also Arnold Vasloo who played the Mummy, I think he is a South African Actor.

Can’t wait until Charlaine brings him back..she left him hanging out there and we must catch that tiger by the tail for a while longer. LOL! Sookie get’s the best pet names: “BABE” & “LOVER”, those two just sends shivers down my back… 🙂

Isis, too cool. I hope everyone you met was nice to you. I can’t imagine anyone from TB wasn’t gracious and kind. They all seem so down to earth. Oh, I would die to see that poster on your wall. I saw one on Ebay with some signatures on it, not the whole cast though. It went for quite a bit, but I wouldn’t sell that one for any price.

It’s all about connections and who you know, so keep those feelers out. Soon we’ll be seeing your name somewhere on the credits for TB!!

Nia, Quinn won’t be back in Book 10, but she did hint as to book 11 or 12 in the series. CH likes Quinn’s character and promised he would be back at least one more time. He’s not giving up without a fight. Now that I think about it, there were a few funny scenes with Quinn, like the one when Sookie and Quinn were tied up in the back of that van and when Sookie had a fight with one of the Pelts (not to spoil for someone who is just reading it or hasn’t read it yet). Brings a smile to my face.

It’s March. Only 3 1/2 more months to go until our favorite show is on again. And, I just heard that as Season 2 is rerun in a couple of weeks, that there will be “little surprises” thrown in, probably after an episode. Hopefully, new promos for S3. Can’t wait.

LOL, Jaxx and Nia!

No, I’m not directly in LA, but I am part of LA County. If you’ve ever seen NCIS, The Unit, Numb3rs, Star Trek (the new movie), etc, you’ve seen the area I live and go to school in. In fact, NCIS at the end of season 6 used my school to recreate “Israel.” In fact, I often hang out in the area directly above where they filmed!

As for the Star Trek thing, in the scene where Spock is saving those few he can from his home planet, he was filming about 45 mins away from my home! They filmed in a national landmark, which you may recognize from NCIS and other movies, since the main rock formation there is what was used for Pride Rock in The Lion King.

Jaxx, I did meet the cast of True Blood. Last year at Comic-Con, I went to the signing AND the panel (and I have the signed poster on my wall in my room to prove it!)

Nia, I’m working hard to try and get more access through actor friends to True Blood. My fingers are still crossed that it’ll work, since I have friends who are related to people who are friends with the cast members of True Blood. Actually, just this past Wednesday, I ran into my friend Kevin, who was on True Blood for 2 eps… Turns out he’s heard a few things from Patrick Gallagher, but he refused to share anything with me!

That sounds really amazing Isis! Something I can only imagine.

It must be such a different world. We, the happily ignorant masses are so satisfied an glamoured with the end results of a movie, tv, or theatre project but are usually quite clueless as to the long involved process to “make the magic” happen. And how often times it is not the wonderland we imagine.

I hope you get to do all you wish in the industry! I wish you all the best. And don’t forget us, the little people!!!

I for one would love to hear all that you are seeing and doing!
I am afraid I will probably never get to a comic-con or an equivalent, so I will be happy to vicariously experience it from your point of view!!

Isis, Wow, what a wonder life you’ve had so far. I’m glad I could bring back a good memory for you. Yul was a favorite of mine too, but actually getting to meet him, that’s awesome. Too bad he suffered with cancer though.

Have you met any of the cast members on TB yet?? Can’t imagine the things and people you’ve seen. It must be a totally different kind of life. Are you in LA?? If you ever meet Alex (or any of the cast members), give him a big hug for me. You’d be my six degrees of fame. LOL.

Yeah, Nia… I’ve grown up with connections to the film/stage world… Things I’m only now learning aren’t common for everyone. First, my father was a musician. He worked on Phantom of the Opera live onstage from the time before I was born until I was four and a half years old. He worked on other shows, too, like the aforementioned King and I. (I even have his shirt that he got for being a musician there!)

My godfather and godmother introduced my parents, and my goddad and my dad met because of the shows they were working on together. Nowadays, my goddad still works as a studio musician, which means he’s a musician who works on major movie scores. In fact, Nathan Barr, at his True Blood Score signing at Dark Delicacies, told me he knew my goddad!

My godmom has old ties to Comic-Con, which she’s kindly allowing me to use for when I go again in July. Hopefully this means I’ll be working with some really important people to Con, as she’s been slowly introducing me to the people in charge of the whole show.

As for my mom? She worked for members of Neil Diamond’s band as an accountant when I was very young. I really wish she had kept up those ties!

And for me, I’ve grown up in an area with LOTS of filming, so I see a lot. I know a lot of people in the industry in many ways, including being friends with a few select actors and their families, including someone who is the niece of James Cameron.

Wow Isis, meeting Yule!!!!

He was amazing as the king of Siam in “The King and I”. The remake was good but I was always so taken with Yule’s performance.
It is sad that one has to suffer so much at the end.

Billy Zane had a gorgeous head of hair when he was younger. The last few times I saw him his head was shaved!?!?!? He still looked good! So he was just a thought.

I completely understand about the “babe” thing. But I just thought he was a pretty decent guy and HOT!
And yes, Sookie was selfish! So far most of the guys she has met are too good for her….LOL. Except Alcide, he needed a good spanking for conitnuing to be played by Debbie.

I did not hear that Quinn may be back!!!!! Quinn already hates Eric and has savagely fought with Bill.
Should prove verrrrrry interesting.

OMG, Jaxx! I remember meeting Yul when I was barely more than a toddler! Nice guy around me, but MAN could he yell in those days (to be fair, he was in a lot of pain from his cancer, so I guess I get the anger and grumpyness)… I can see where Yul would be an inspiration for Quinn, though!

Nia, LOL. We are on the same wave length. I posted my reply to Missyella before I read yours and it’s pretty much word for word. Too funny!!! I just googled Billy Zane and Vin Diesel again (since I haven’t seen him in anything in a while). They both would work.

I liked the concept of Quinn from the books. What made me cringe was when he used the word “Babe” all the time. Reminded me too much of guys in bars in the 70’s. *shaking my head to clear the images* LOL. I did like his loyalty to Sookie and he really did love her too. It’s too bad his family got in HER way. I always thought she was very selfish about his situation with his mother and sister. JIMO, Sookie didn’t deserve Quinn. But, CH has hinted that Quinn is not gone for good. He will be back before the Sookie series ends.

CH actually said in an interview that the Quinn character actually came from a combination of Vin Diesel and I think she mentioned Yul Brenner also as an inspiration from The Ten Commandments and The King and I, if I remember her correctly.

Missyella, sorry. If you Google “Mr. Clean”, the image will come up. Mr. Clean is a cleaning product here in the US. There is a cartoonish sketch of a bald, tan, muscular guy wearing a white T-shirt on the front of it. That’s what I picture when Quinn’s name is mentioned, in a joking way. But, for a cartoon character, he’s not bad. lol.

I know your question was directed at jaxx, but if I may, Mr Clean was actually a cartoon figure that was used in comercials (long ago) to sell a cleaning product…LOL!!!!!!
He looked like a bald genie with a gold earing and was wearing all white clothes.

As to Vin D, I just don’t see him as a romantic figure, JIMO, as an action hero, sure but as a suitor for Sookie????? I dont know, but hey anythings possible!!!

I agree with you Loleaf, I always liked Quinn. He was a genuine and good guy. I felt that Sookie was not very fair to him. He was just trying to look out for his family, to try and take care of everyone. She didn’t want any part of his mother and sister.

Unfortunately in a real relationship, if you truly care for someone you have to support them, accept and deal with family, and make sacrifices. And hopefully all of that is reciprocated. It is sometimes very hard but I believe it is a true test of character.

Yeah, I can’t wait to see who they cast as Quinn either..But we will have to wait a bit, unless Alan wants to speed things up. Quinn didn’t first appear until Book 5 (Dead as a Doornail). When Sookie first seen his gleaming bald head at the funeral for the colonel. Although Quinn doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt the others do. I really like him and hope they cast the perfect actor for the roll. I can see it now: Must be tall, very muscular, tan, and look good without a shirt/clothes/shirt/clothes oh well you pick I can’t decide. LOL!! :>

I really do believe like so many that Alan is trying to fit in too many characters this season. But I will have faith in him that he will have most of them be very minor. We still want the core of the show to remain focused on our main characters.

As to Quinn, it seems that he may not come into play until a later season. There has been no casting call. I guess one extra suitor for Sookie per season is enough…LOL.

So for most of these characters….ships in the night is ok with me. Give us more of our main cast!!!

I agree that there is sticking to the core of the Books, but in my honest opinion I still feel that to many characters have, are being crammed into a 12 episode season.

Will they be developed enough or pass like “Ships in the night”?

If AB is going to do this then where is Quinn? Who as we know (yes again us Book readers), was a facilitator for the Weres and appeared at the same time as Alcide………..curious that’s all!!!!!

Not a problem at all!!!! I think that what it really boils down to is how much we really do agree on things!!
Not everything, LOL, but if we did what would we have to banter over!!

Like you and so many I will be in for the long ride..I can’t wait for more.
I think we will see alot of book 3 this season as well as alot of new things which will be great!

I am really looking forward to more flashbacks! Alan has really rocked that part of TB. We never saw that much in the books and I just love the background info! I want to see more of Eric and Godric. I also would have liked to see Alex’s father play the role of the viking king…would have been too cool! Then I am hoping Alan explores Erics “turning” of Pam!!! Great way to give her more screen time!!

Of course more of Bills background!!!! We know that he will somehow see his wife Carolyn…..Should be incredible.

As to inportant parts of the books I am sure that Alan will be keeping most of those! Although he did leave out the pink spandex….shame on him!

I’m willing to hold hands and stand together! This is an incredible show! You’re right Lizzie I would like to see Sam and Sookie together or have a shot at it anyway. He’s such a nice guy and he really cares about her…It seems that he always get treated like dirt. I wonder,How will Sookie deal with Bill being absent from her life? He has usually been there to protect her Now that shes alone, Who will watch out for her…Eric?? It will be neat to see what happens with Jason!
Will Andy rat him out as Egg’s killer? Will Jason turn himself in? I’m sure it will be interesting and funny to see what develops cant wait! 🙂

Hello Ladies! I think that it would be a wonderful idea to get together and just hang out in front of a campfire toasting marshmallows and just talking about ouf favorite show…It would be Awesome!! For “scary stories” We could discuss somes from Both seasons! Like the time Bill glamored a highway patrol cop?
That still kinda creeps me out! LOL So may things we could discuss! We could discuss our favorite characters,Calmly of course LOL We can sip Tru Blood and tell “Bill” & “Eric” stories! Maybe exchance “Jasonisms” and talk about Sam and his shifting abilities and what a nice,friendly,loyal guy he seems to be. Watch out though Once I start doing my Bill Compton impression You might be bowled over!! LOL

But,I’m sure that they wouldnt mind if their guys came to hang out with us would they? It would be Really Cool if we could do that! Just as long as we had plenty of Tru Blood,chips and beer!! LOL And a portable dvd player 1 which we can pick and watch our favorite episodes. Perhaps If we could organize something like that one day It would be Awesome!!

Well, 1 of My Very Favorite episodes is S1 Ep.1 “Strange Love”
This Ep. is So well written,I love the first few minutes inthe liquor store with the vampire “wannabe” Just classic!!

Sookie: Ok Sam:Can I make it Any better for ya!
Whoa! Sookie’s excitement when she sees Bill walk into the bar!
Sookie:Wow! I have been waiting for 2 years for a vampire to come in here!” Sookie: Wow! You are a Vampire! Bill:Is it That obvious? Those first few moments,Whoa! Cant beat That!!
Another is “Mine” What a great episode that is! The writing is incredible and the acting Unbelievable!! The first time that I saw this 1 it gave me the creeps it was scary! But then i thought “Wow! This Is great writing!” 1 thing that i really like about TB here is that just about every episode is like riding on a roller-coaster what a Rush of adrenaline!!

Anyways, I really do enjoy everyone here, as it helps keep all of us (especially me) sane as we await June (and for me, July so that I can see the cast at Comic-Con again), and how we all can get back to being cordial so quickly! Nia, don’t get me wrong I’ve read the books and loved them also. But, I also LOVE the show for it’s differences too. If it followed the book to the letter we would know what would happen and where would the fun be in that.. We never know what Alan has in store for us, BUT we will always be in for a wild ride regardless! We can hope that our favorite parts in the book will be in the series but even if they are left on the cutting room floor we will still enjoy it anyway!!

My hope is with the addition of new characters that they will support our favorites in the scenes, interact with them, i.e., Sam with his family; Bill with the weres; Eric with Pam, Yvetta, weres and Fangtasia people, Tara, Franklin and people at Club Dead, etc. This way we’ll have the best of both worlds. New characters mixing with old ones in the same scene so we won’t lose any precious screen time with our favorites.

Can’t remember when Claude and Claudine showed up. Was it end of 3 beginning of 4?? Haven’t heard any casting call for them yet so maybe not till end of this year or beginning of next??? Love Claudine, hope to see her soon.

And yes, yes, yes, please more Pam. Love her character both in the books and on TB. Some really funny one liners and interactions with both Sookie and Eric.

Jason and Andy, what will they get into. And who can forget Sheriff Dearborn. Too funny.

Four mounths to go “trubies”….It’s a TRIBUTE to Alan Ball & co, and all the really fabulous actors who bring us into this world of TRUE BLOOD !! none of this is “real” ..Charlaine Harris wrote fun novels…the actors on True Blood bring her characters to life, Alan Ball…gets those words together on the screen, colors , flesh, “blood” sex & rock n roll…Of course,,,whatever ,,”we” picture in our minds…will always be something “different”….BUT …tb comes really close. (dead on w.Eric)The show is truly a “gift” to the audience. I am a fan of the books, but I applaud AB for his applications to the show. I expect that the new seasons will be even better with much rewarded success.

I klnow I have said it before but I have read all the books and found them very entertaining, yet I cannot help but love the show so much more.

What I have always found so disconcerting, and I have also mentioned before, is the fact that so many posts from as far back as a year ago (just after the first season) have been so negative or just plain bashing. Not just here but many other sites as well. And some of it was just plain scarey!

This boggles my mind because any fan of the books knows that the first season was very close to the books so why the problem???

Also the first two books are all about Bill and Sookie, with changes of course. AB has decided to make the story a love journey for Bill and Sookie. That is just his vision (but with 5 more seasons to go who knows what will happen).

Alan B wanted to change the books so the viewer would not always know what to expect. This is brilliant on his part. And the actors have agreed this is good as well. This may not bode well with some but it is what it is. I am sorry if some are not happy but name calling, bashing and rude comments never do any good and just creates animosity, and can be so hurtful.

Also the “team” thing has never been something that I have ever subscribed to unless it was “Team True Blood” which is what I am all about because I love it all, the entire team.

Granted there is one particular one that I want to take home with me and do “Bad Things” with (and I know you feel the same about your fav) but that should be something we should be laughing about not chiding each other for. I like chocolate pudding you like vanilla….its all yummy so lets just all enjoy and talk about our favorites on the show, and perhaps offer kind words, compassion and understanding when someone is not happy, because thats why we are here.

I agree that with the addition of so many characters that it will detract from our current favorites yet aren’t all these characters in the books and didn’t you say that he should stick to the books more??? A bit of a contradiction there. But nonethe less I agree, I would want to see my favorite more not less and as the seasons continue that will be difficult but as that happens I will in no way come here and bash and say derogatory things about the other characters or actors who will have more screen time.

I do hope for more Pam, she is also terrific and what fun Alan can have writing more for her character. Also If Alan did follow the books to the letter, we would not have Lafayette, who I ADORE, one of the best decisions Alan ever made was to keep him on!!!!!!!

So bring it on!! As much as you may shake your head I really like Eric….who wouldn’t. He is to much fun and will be even more fun in the seasons ahead. Is he my absolute favorite, no,but I do like him in a different way, but again that doesn’t matter, I will love my favorite in my own way and not take away someone elses happiness but join in because this is True Blood and it is wonderful!

I will enjoy discussing the seasons ahead with you all and the fun and heartache it will bring. I bless Alan everday for taking this show on and giving us so much passion.

I so agree with you about taking away from the characters.. I hate that Pam doesn’t have as predominate of character that she has in the books. I loved the parts between her and Sookie in the books. Hope AB and crew will change that in the upcoming episodes! She is a great and funny character and deserves more airtime.

Whomever you like as a character is an individual choice, last year I almost left this site due to a very insulting post aimed at me and others.

I persevered and am still enjoying some of the postings. But yes feelings can be hurt, but what everyone must remember myself included, is that it is a show based on a series of Books, yes sometimes it is hard to take the direction, we perceive AB is following, vearing away from them.

But you know so what!!!!! I now have to say< I will like the show regardless.

My only concern now is that AB may be adding too many characters thus taking away from Bill, Sookie, Eric, Jason, Tara, Sam, Pam and the wonderful Lafayette………….as well as Jessica, Hoyt and the rest.

There is only so much we can take lol………………..character wise, how soon before we see Claudine and Claude??

Just didn’t like what they had to offer right off the bat… Whereas this site has EVERYTHING that we want and could ever ask for and more… Kudo’s to all the moderators who work tirelessly to bring us all the yummy info that they can get there little hands on!!! Well, I guess I am back! This was my first site when I became interested in True Blood. I anxiously awaited TB news everyday as I had signed up for an email notification. Such excitement!!! I just could not wait to read all the news and respond. I don’t want to lose that enthusiasm – True Blood and the posters here mean too much to me.

It does hurt me to possibly see the Bill and Sookie romance go in a different direction and believe me it will be hard to watch – if I can watch. I will not give up TB, possibly follow other characters more, perhaps, because this is not the Sookie universe or Sookie’s POV as per the books – it is True Blood and I will give the show the respect that it deserves. I love Alan’s take of the books and I will give him support. believe it or not, I actually supported him for the Maryann storyline – yeah, too many orgies and a bit too long, but we had the wonderful Karl and what about Maryann’s gorgeous clothes! Who could forget the lady running down the street with the toilet paper! The obscene signage on the Bon Temps Welcome sign! If we really look, we can see good within the bad.

This is not a show totally focused on Sookie. It is an ensemble cast and each character brings the show together, not whether or when Sookie and Eric get it on. I think too much focus is placed on this – mainly because of the books, I know, but Alan has mad it much more than that, otherwise why have all the other characters! That way we could have 55 mins of Bill and Sookie googlie eyeing each other or Eric and Sookie playfully bantering or just sex with whoever! It sounds good in principle, but it too, will grow old.

So here’s to True Blood! The best show ever to be shown on TV!!!

I was just thinking Bill has been abducted we do not know why or by whom,though there has been much speculation here.
I feel that Eric would have the most to gain from this. He would have Bill “out of his way” and he would be free to either pursue Sookie or try to aquire her (Just why he’s so fascinated with her we dont know but I’m sure its more than her special abilities) Anyway,Who knows? We may be surprised as to Who did this! Alan and the writers like to surprise folks! There will be So much to see in this new season! Obviously, The B/S relationship will be tested and there may be obstacles to overcome and trials to deal with. This was also true of their beginning as well! I often wonder,If her Gran had not been killed,Would she have taken Bill back? She did break up with him. Would Sam have even considered Tara if Sookie was free of Bill and they could date? I just have a feeling that Sookie may have to turn to Eric as he may be the only one left to go to.
Since she cannot stand him,this would be good drama! I’m sure that there will be changes in the next couple of years for B/S.
Part of the fun of all of this will be watching where Alan Ball will take us with these characters. It Is after all, an ensemble cast and there are other storylines that will be pursued. Like Jessica and Hoyt,Arlene and Terry and Tara and this vampire and of course a look into Eric’s past Did he ever feel love for Pam? Did she feel for him??
Anyway,lets just sit back relax and watch what unfolds It may not be to our liking but it will be interesting to tune in and see what happens! Go Team True Blood Go HBO!!

Yes we all have our favorites however when terms or comments are used that are disturbing or just plain rude (yes I edited your comment Istawanbli) and doesn’t contribute in a positive way to the post it is no longer fun and takes the thrill out of discussing our favorite show.

Whether you love Eric, Bill, Sam, Jason or whoever please be respectful. Comments such as “I don’t know how you can see Bill and Sookie together or Eric and Sookie is quite rude because people then feel the need to “defend” their favorite and it is no longer fun.

People should not have to feel the need to “defend” their favorite. This is an ensemble show, the cast gets along amazingly well with each other so why can’t the fans? Yes True Blood fans are passionate and it is great for the show however, does it really look good on fans disrespecting each other or the other characters?

Yes let us have fun discussing our favorite show with respect and not making “pro team ______” comments which builds animosity and JMHO looks badly on True Blood fans. For Teams I’m Team True Blood because without True Blood we wouldn’t have this marvelous cast and show.

I love this show, as evident by my past posts, and yes I have a favorite but that in no way means that I do not like the others.

It just becomes old, as you said, when I feel the need to chime in to try and remind a few to please be respectful of those who may feel differently. Why is it that one must rely on name calling as a form of retaliation???? Does Bills character incite such fear and hatred???? I just do not get that.

I think Alex is a terrific actor and great guy. I also think he is the perfect Eric. As to Eric, well he is a wonderfully fun bad boy and I look forward to all the drama he will cause in the episodes to come. And yes this drama will unfold and I will enjoy it all.

Will I call him names when he is riding the crest of TB…absolutely not. Will I feel sad for my favorite when he is down, absolutely, will I take it out on others, again absolutely not. That we are able to feel such deep emotions is such a compliment to this remarkable show. It is how we act on them that will define us all.

So thank you for your very mature reply. I have a few close friends who like Eric, and we enjoy talking about the spoilers and the season to come, but we respect the love and devotion that we all have for each other, this show, and all involved.

Also it is true that we tend not to talk as much about the other wonderful characters in the show. That is a shame for they are all amazing and also deserve our respect and admiration. I recently posted on a really great article here on Jason S. and his wisdom on the show…too much fun!

Again it is good to hear from you and It is also true for me that I have not posted here as much either. It can be quite a drain to the soul at times.

I agree with both Loleaf and Nia.

This is supposed to be fun no matter who’s your favorite. Once this stops being fun, I’m out of here too. It gets a little old after a while, the constant bickering. That’s why I don’t post as often as I used to.

I’ve said it before, let’s just agree to disagree on the two vamps. We know who’s everyone favorite. They both have good and bad points, both have lied, schemed, tricked in different ways. Can’t we just get past it already and concentrate on other aspects of the show??? There are plenty of other characters on this show. Season 3 will be full of them.

Loosely following book 3 means Eric and Sookie will show more interst in one another. That’s how it is. Bill will be around and fighting for her too. Then there’s Alcide and possibly Sam still pining away for her and who knows about the were community. If I remember correctly, Calvin Norris shows an interest as well.

I think it’ll be interesting to add more suitors to the mix. Lay them all out on the table and see who Sookie chooses, or doesn’t choose. It will be an adventure with each one of them for different reasons and if we go on past S4, we have Quinn who will be involved and whoever else AB decides to throw into the mix.

I’m looking forward to S3 myself. Throw whatever at me AB and we’ll see how this all sorts out.

Of course it is paramount that we should all try to get along. Why should that be so difficult?? Agreeing or disagreeing is not a problem. We do not all think alike and we should not.
And granted our posting and enthusiasm are vital to the show. Keeping the “buzz” alive is all part of showbiz.

Should it all be for the greater good? Absolutely, but what we have here is a lack of respect, whether for the writers, actors, directors and or ultimately for each other.

That is what makes things hard. So it seems that every so often we have to remind a few AGAIN that the name calling is unnecessary and hurtful, no matter who your favorite is.
I may have my favorite but as a fan of the SHOW I am all for the team. So if you do not care what I or others think, thats all well and good but how about the moderator who is also disturbed by the recent ill use of terminology.

So if we can all post in a fun mature manner, that is always appreciated.

I know that tempers get flared sometimes: BUT remember, It’s all for the greater good… That’s why TB us still in so much demand, because of all the Pro Bill, Pro Eric, Pro Sam or Pro… fans like us!! If it wasn’t for all the bantering back and forth the show wouldn’t have as big a following as it does.
Who knows AB or any of the other writers may even read our comments and get tickled at how passionate we are of this show! It takes all of us to keep it going, because if there wasn’t passion behind our posts the show wouldn’t have lasted without the fans. So, let’s agree to disagree and keep these seasons going strong! We know we can get pretty territorial about our characters: so it’s better to just mark your spot and be on with it, because you know someone will come right behind you and claim the territory after ya.
Were all here for one reason and one reason only, and that is to keep True Blood on for however long that we can!!! Like I said before sometimes we just have to agree to disagree about some things…but remember even if you don’t agree with a post it’s all for a good cause!!!

You are so right about the instant chemistry between Bill and Sookie. She did not need his blood to be so attracted to him. (Its wonderful how that has transferred to real life!)

As to Eric, well we all know Sookie loathes him now especially after all she has seen him do, dreams or not, she knows that Lafayette is having them and that the dreams are a consequence of the blood. As to why Sookie hates Eric, its simple, look at what he has done:

Eric taking Bill to a tribunal for saving her when she was doing his bidding and it should have been Eric who should have stopped Longshadow, but he stood idly by and let her be attacked.
Torturing Lafayette.
Tricking her into drinking his blood.

I wonder how she will feel when she finds out that he called in Bills maker to get Bill out of the way so he could rescue her from the FOTS. Well that backfired. Bill helped save Eric instead. If Bill did not escape Lorena (thank god for 52 inch plasma tv’s), Eric would still be lying there waiting for rescue either from Godric or the Dallas vamps. Jason could only do so much before he was grabbed. Once Bill ran up to save Sookie, all the soldiers lost their nerve.

I have wondered if Bill would have released Eric from the chains if Sookie had not. Eric did not deserve it but Bill is a good soul and probably would have anyway.

As to the hookup of Eric and Sookie, we all know that something will happen. It is a natural develpment to the story, and is necessary to add drama. If all were good the show would be boring. We need the villain to step up and get more involved.
Should be interesting.
But in the end I will hold out for True Love!

Please don’t go. I’m sorry I haven’t been monitoring the comment section much this past week due to unforeseen circumstances. However I agree with you about the terminology which I do not appreciate since it came from the books and bares no reference to how Bill is in True Blood. I have to admit I am personally becoming quite disturbed by the focus on the Eric/Sookie theme as if that is what True Blood is all about. Also I see that it is creating animosity and I what to emphasize let us drop the “TEAM” stuff and focus on Team True Blood.

Considering that not everyone has read the books and knows the terminology, I too was offended by the use of that acronym. In my mind, it’s a reference to Voldemort in the Harry Potter series, and to use it as another name for Bill is just simply not cool, as it implies that Bill is a lot of negative things that have not been seen on True Blood.

Please keep in mind before using such terminology that it doesn’t mean the same things to everyone!

HWSNBN is not a negative comment in the least. This was a term that CH wrote for Sookie when she refers to Bill I believe in DAG or ATD. He who shall not be named. Nothing was meant by using the term. Just a literary term from the books.

As far as Eric and Sookie, I know they are not getting together except for fantasies this season. Alexander has already spoiled that for the season. Will there be drama in the triangle? I believe I said I was looking forward to all the characters having a portion of the drama. Eric, Sammy, Alcide,Debbie, Sookie and Billy. What is it with the HWSNBN?? A bit nasty, isn’t it?? Just because Bill has been the main romantic lead with Sookie both in the books and the series, and as already stated, Eric will be a main force, as in the books and the series, why does he get a caning on this site and especially the Red? You will be getting your Viking and the storyline as per the books – why bash Bill and give him horrible names? I don’t understand you all. Sorry.

Also, this is not the Sookie universe, as stated by AB and many others. True Blood is an ensemble cast – each with a story to tell. Every comment is more or less Eric and Sookie getting it together. As you know, going by air time, it will not be a Sookie/Eric fest. They will share time with other storylines. I know you are excited, but give credit to the others. Boy, I have read how boring Bill and Sookie are, reading all the Sookie/Eric stuff is beginning to get as much boring!

I agree We are All fans of this incredible show that capitvates us and hold our interests! Even IF Sookie hooks up with Eric or Alcide I feel it will bring more drama and intensity to the show! While I would agree that B/S is the driving force of the show, Its Also about Sookie’s dealings and relationships with others as well! Eric may very well try to make a play for Sookie or make an attempt to aquire her just because he’s fascinated by her! The dream sequence where Sookie tries to comfort Eric after his maker dies is Unbelievable! Its Hot,too! It may be a different dynamic with the Sookie/Eric thing,too! Eric will not give in to her and he certainly will not coddle her or kowtow in any way!
Perhaps in Eric Sookie may have met her match~~as far as attitude goes! It will be fun to see Anyway!!

Hey Antonio. Yes, sexual tension undoubtedly. Sookie and the Viking will continue to explore this relationship during season three. I personally look forward more of the banter and hopefully some of the humor we saw in the books. Yes, I know this is the show and I love it. I guess I am looking for a more balanced approach to the character that we saw from CH.

With HWSNBN out of the picture for six episodes, the Viking will have an opportunity to pursue his interest in the telepath. Whether he protects Sookie or helps her with finding Bill, he will be seen not quite as bad as he has been made out to be. Well, at least that is our hopes.

Alexander has already spoiled that his interest in the telepath goes beyond her “special” gifts. He has an interest in her on a more personal nature. And yes, he will be causing problems for the “lovers”.

I agree Ollie. The momentum on line is now starting to pick up a little with the awards season over and moving to more filming and casting morsels. Us Truebies are ravenous for anything this point in the year. Our smorgasbord is kind of empty other wise. Lets hope we get some nice video teasers about Season Three when HBO starts re-airing Season Two on March 21st at 8pm.

Our hunger for all things TB is insatiable and we all need more and more. Just like an addiction to V, True Blood is an addiction that can not be ignored.

Hi Pbt I can hardly wait to see what changes and new characters AB and the writers will bring in,too! As for the sexual tension dynamic? The way I see it, There Is sexual tension between Eric and Sookie. They bicker,They can’t stand each other and yet there seems to be Something there! With Bill Compton,It wasnt a sexual tension thing that built up over time..It was more like instant chemistry…Like love at first sight! There was electricity like lightining in a bottle! When Sookie met Bill for the first time and even afterward it was almost like Krakatowa…Pow!! With Eric Northman,Its more like something building up over time. Eric hasn’t had a lot of time to “mesmerize” her as Bill seemed to (even though she could not be glamored By Either of Them) The sexual tension between Eric and Sookie is building up over time. That scene where Sookie tries to comfort Eric after his maker dies? Whoa!! That scene is just Incredible! I’m sure that with Bill gone Eric will try to make a play for Sookie! He wants her for something!
Anyway, Whether its this year Or next Something probably will take place..even if its just curiosity…I think.

LOL I read book 3 and don’t remember any of the lines because they were not that memorable to me only the interaction between Bill and Sookie. 🙂 Even though Alan did say he is going to stay true the “spirit” of the books but at the same time it has been stated that with each season he will be moving away from the books. Of course you all know by now I’m hoping that Bill and Sookie will be together in the end but who knows what Alan is going to do and that is part of the thrill. He may surprise all of us. 🙂

I just hope that AB and crew follows the books about Sookies adventures in Club Dead (us book readers know what her adventures are). Especially the “Rhett and Scarlet” part and the “water water everywhere nor any drop to drink” scene. I LMAO when reading that part of the book!!! SO looking forward to Season 3, I can’t believe were all still sane!!! LOL

I agree. I am very excited for this season also. Can’t wait to see how Alcide, the Hot Shot community, Debbie Pelt and the new cast mix with the established cast members. If it’s following Club Dead’s core story, we are in for quite the adventure, which will be great. Also can’t wait to see what kind of trouble Jason stirs up and get himself into as well as all the other supporting actors and actresses. We need them in the mix not only for the drama but for comic relief, which is so a part of how CH’s books are written.

Bring on whatever you have AB, we’re so ready for it.

Ollie, you are always fair all the way around. You report both Bill and Eric news and that’s great. We each have our favorites and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think it’s the friendly rivalry that keeps this show going even 5 months after the last episode of Season 2 aired. It shows how passionate people are about this show. If no one cared, then I’d be worried about the show’s future. But I’m not because there are so many supporters and not only for Eric and Bill, but for Sam, Tara, Jessica, Hoyt, etc. and with Alcide and the weres being introduced in Season 3, there will be even more supporters for them as well.

We’re almost there. Just under 4 months to go now. I think we’ll make it, even though I’m on the edge of my seat sometimes. Just please keep the spoilers and pics coming to help us through. 🙂

Yes, even Stephen said in an interview that he doesn’t believe that Sookie and he would be together the whole series. Also, that he hopes they bring someone in to keep his character occupied. He said that wouldn’t make for a good series if the two characters stay together the whole time..
PLUS, we know that Alcide comming into the storyline would shake things up a bit. Also, Quinn not that far down the road, should make for a very very interesting mix… All and all were in for a wild ride!!!! All I can say is bring it on!!!!!

even though true blood isn’t the books, the show is BASED ON the books…even though things haven’t followed the books exactly, the main theme of each book is what the show is based upon…for example, AB didn’t kill off Lafayette, but they did have the maenad and stuff…they change the little details, but not everything (for me, one of the biggest changes that they’ve made in season 2 was 1. godric being eric’s maker, and 2. the explosion happening instead of gun fire..cuz the explosion happened in book 7…oh and introducing the queen…but even with these changes, the main plot of the show and books are the same…sort of lol)
but eric and sookie’s relationship is going to happen..it has to, since book 4 is all about eric and sookie lol AB even confirmed that eric is going to lose his memory in season 4…whether sookie will pick him up while he’s running down a deserted road at 3am, i don’t know, but he will lose his memory 🙂 their relationship is huge though 🙂 which i’m more than ok with, since i’m in love with them lol TEAM ERIC

So … And the said AB, there will be much Eric and Sookie this season, it’s true. The book, which is used as a basis, presents this simple fact. If the director does not follow what is right, he certainly will lose much.

Totally agree here, TBLVR. AB has already said all of this. Alexander has already hinted that it will happen. Not this season but probably next. And bring on the sexual tension. Sookie and Eric hate and love each other at the same time. That’s what makes for great drama in any series. It can’t be all lovey dovey 24/7. That kills a series quicker than a maenad.

There will be changes of course. I personally like that. It keeps us all guessing how the writers will weave the stories together and make it all interesting.The secondary characters are what bring that difference. Story lines for Laffy, Tara, Sam, Arlene and Terry,Debbie and Alcide and yes, Andy. So much material there to work with.

Yes, you are right. We never know what Alan Ball has up his sleeve for our lead characters. Eric, Sookie and Bill have a lot of drama in store for them especially Seasons 3 and 4. But AB, has already spoiled that Club Dead will be followed pretty closely. So in my book, wohhoooooo. Bring on the Viking, the telepath and HWSNBN.

HBO is re-airing Season Two starting on March 21st at 8pm. Can’t beat that.

Hey pbt!! I am caught up in the “Brotherhood” thing until Sookie Book 10 comes out and TB is back. Not much time for anything else.

I hope that certain scene doesn’t get cut, but knowing AB, I’m not holding my breath. I am looking forward to meeting Yvette and seeing what her and Eric are all about. There is going to be much more to Yvette than just a dancer at Fangtasia, which, imo, will lead us right into S4. I think she will also make Sookie curious and jealous when it comes to Eric since she’s had his blood now. And then, of course, there’s Alcide on the other side to make Eric step it up a notch with Sookie.

Sounds about right for this season. Eric and Sookie had plenty of sexual tension at this point based on the core of the story. Only more to come. We’ve already seen what some think is Russell’s mansion. I’m hoping a certain scene is also shown. The more build up the better into S4.

Actually, they are just summarizing spoilers they were posting before, and things you can deduce from the third novel. Really, the parents and the love interests were in the casting calls, and the characters aren’t getting together in Book 3, but have sexual tension.
