I just finished reading Dead in The Family (book 10). and coincidentally wrapped up Season 3 on DVD the previous night. I was dismayed to find out that Season 4 wasn’t on DVD yet, but I see why now, If I’m reading this correctly, it just started airing this year. May have to get HBO GO to make sure I can watch them!..

I’ve read all the books now, and I’m kinda glad I didn’t start reading them untill there was alot of them to read because I got hooked on those too and just kept wanting more of them lol. I gotta say though, so far I prefer the book where Eric loses his memory compared to when it happens on the show, although I still love the show and I’m glad it’s back on. I think it’s just because there’s alot more detail in the books and on the show it all happens so fast and I get the feeling that the “Sookie Eric” thing’s gonna end soon, but you never know because as you said the show and the books are very different. But it’s kinda cool that it’s like that, because you can read the books and watch the show and enjoy them both as something a bit different from eachother, but with mostly the same characters you love. So it doesn’t get boring, your not just reading the exact same thing you’ve already seen on tv. I actually like Bill more on the show when he’s not with Sookie. I just got a bit annoyed with the “Sookie Bill” sob story but I think he’s a good character though, I just got over them breaking up every five seconds then getting back together lol

read the books they are great but the series deviates alot… and you will never be sick of sookie and the totally gorgoeus bill
plus the weres etyc are much more involved

I simply love this show. Glad It’s Coming Back. I know if it was with Fox, they mostly likely would have cut it off by season 1. Fox has a nack of canning good shows; I’m still puzzled they cancelled FlashFoward. Prison-Break I know was getting wretchedly predictable, but FlashFoward, that sucks!

Each episode of Trueblood is one full hour long and no commercials which is pretty much the same as 24 half hour long episodes. That’s a pretty long season if you ask me, especially considering how much work goes into all of them.

here is my 2nd my question for ‘dr l’,do you think extra terrestials are real[i think i have posted a comment on this website before about trueblood.here is my story,about 10-13years ago i was working at a local meatworks and working the ‘nightshift’,work finished at about 11a.m.,i went over to afriends place for awhile who lived close by and he doubled me home on a streetbike,anyway on that journey home through a darkly-light dimmed part of my town i looked back and there was an object in the sky,it really was like ‘saucer on a teacup,minus the handle of course[joking],blue-lights coming out of it and i tapped my ‘mate’ on the shoulder and i said what is that,he said i dont know-i said ‘lets get the f##k out of here. i remember that night clearly to this very day i was on no illegal substances and still am a. bit spooked to this very day as well.my brother rang me the other day and said jokingingly,the aliens will get you and then i will come back in 3 weeks and ask for a drink of a water.i think ive been abducted.

I absolutely love The True Blood series, I could watch them all night and day. I’m from Antwerp in Belgium and I can assure you everyone here loves it! I worked at the Fnac a french company selling Dvd’s, CD’s, Books etc. And they have a huge amount of customers and more 50% of the people passing at my cashtill bought one, but mostly the 3 series at once!
Keep on going, this has so much potential and you won’t lose a penny!

just saw the article about the facebook ad,should they make one antivirus/bug system for all computers,before my last computer blew up which i said on this site before i got sent 2500000-300000 viruses and it was truly frustrating,and then make such a ‘impentatrable’ system where companies compete with each other for the best deals etc,could the computer companies make/ trial a way to track these bugs/viruses etc[trial a system,if it works upgrade it etc],in this day and age we need a failproof system for just about everything/everydaylife-just thought i would write this on this site because it was the easiest to post a comment[and for trueblood of course],computers make the world spin around and remember’there should be ‘computer police’joking].colin-signing off in rememberance of my ‘viruses’.

just wanted to give some advice to jessicafan1993,for some reason i dont think you will be finding these novels in your local library,sometimes in australia you have to wait for certain shows to play in america first and then they get played here,it would be good if the shows or movies they think will do well here could be sped up or ‘fasttracked'[thats my personal ‘pipedream’].heres another idea,’hi-def’everything[audio,picture quality etc.]where possible, i do it on youtube,sound down a little bit and surround system up[play around with it a little bit-this like trueblood is fan-tastical-magical,and really is music to your ears]til next time,colin.

Repeats of S2 are being shown on Showcase now and I guess S3 will be repeated afterwards. The US will screen S4 on 12 June and if we follow last year’s date, we will get it at the end of Aug.

Do what I am going to do -write to Foxtel and ask why it can’t be shown earlier!

I love this show, but I hate how there’s only 12 episodes in each season, and then you have to wait forever for the next one. You just get hooked and then it’s over again. It’s driving me crazy waiting for season 4. I havn’t read the books so I’ve got no idea what happens in those but I hope Sookie hooks up with Eric for a while, although it seems pretty obvious it wouldn’t last long with them. I’m kinda getting a bit sick of Bill(Sorry Bill fans). I just think if Sookie’s gonna be with a liar then he may as well be a really hot and unapollogetic one that doesn’t pretend to be the good guy. (Like Eric). I’m getting sick of the on again off again Sookie Bill story. I think she needs to move on to someone else for a bit then maybe Bill will get his act together. Dont get me wrong though, I dont hate bill on the show I’m just sick of everything being about him. Also someone else was saying on here that they should bring back Godrick and I agree. He was hot lol. Ok sorry for goin on and on but I got kinda caught up in it so I’m gonna stop now. Lol

um as far as eric goes….if they can do anything at all like the story line in the book i wanna see eric’s shine too. the amnesia etc. i have read every book and i love the show so much even though it is sooooo different. but i’d like to see some things keep to harris’ novels because it will blow it away with what alan ball and his team can do. i’m so excited. i can’t wait!!!

See, whenever I see that scene with Eric crying, I cringe! I feel all embarrassed when Eric cries like a girl – really too much over the top!

I prefer Bill’s quiet tear when he sees his family for the last time after being turned, or his rage when remembering being turned and he hits the “toaster poker” into the fire after Andy and Bud leave. More classier and more heart felt.

As of now, the new season is slated to start on June 12th. They started filming the season a little earlier this year so it might change. Either the first or second episode is titled “You Smell like Dinner”.

I have just finished volume 7 and let me tell you it is hot hot hot. i love true blood. “I hope true blood never ends”!!!!! I do wish sookie had more powers in the books, also i hope her and eric get together cause to me its like he will not show his feeling towards sookie, but at the same time he is always there for her and he always makes sure she has what she need he really pays attention to the little things. However even thought bill has became the bad boy he is still pretty hot.

Well we all Know in the 4th book that eric losses his memory and moves under the protection of sookie. Sookie falls for the so not eric personality. In the end Sookie and Eric get to know one another alittle to well if you know what I mean.

OH and i rather like the fact that Sookie has powers. In the books i didn’t like the fact she couldn’t do anything besides read minds.
OH and i also like that the vampire blood can heal you in the matter of seconds then days. like that way better then the books.

I. totally agree. They are so different. I hated reading before I found Charlenes books and Stephanie Myers to. I like the Bill in the show better than in the books. Eric in the books is better than the one on the show though. Isn’t funny how they can differ. I am glad to hear form both sides of the camp and no bashing going on. I love aving Eric fans for friends who have the maturity not to bash others and their taste. I have heard so many people bash Bill. I had one one day say ” How can ou like him he is grose.” I simply said ” I have taste that is why and he is hot!! To each their own though.” I hope I can hear from soem more Eric fans like you gals. You are great! and Go TB the best show on TV.

Me to !!! Let’s hope AB sticks with what he said and says he see it as a love stor between Bill and Sookie. However I would like to see the viking find love somehow with someone else however. I have had a suggestion for a long time i think they should hook up Eric and Hadley. She is more Eric’s type: They are both BY, Thye have had hard lives and they both have been in trouble. This wa he gets a relative of a fae and Bill gets his lady love. They can have drama in another way leave Bill and Sookie relationship out of it. I know a lot of people who like Eric but like Bill and Sookie together. Sorry i am just a incureable roamantic I guess. Love your comment Lizzie great to here a fellow Bill fan.

I was just hoping that Alan Ball features Sookie more in Season 4 in Merlottes as a barmaid. I noticed that last season she wasn’t working much, if at all. I miss how she read the patron’s thoughts. Having her work endeared her more to me—Sookie needs to be more grounded and down-to-earth again, even though she has powers.

I am soooo addicted to this show! I was a latecommer, I did not think I would like the show, couln’t understand what all of the hype was about, then at the behest of my girlfriend, I watched the first episode and I just love this show. Smart decision for HBO to allow this show to return, it is the campiest, goofiest, piece of fantasy I have ever enjoyed. Mr. Ball, you’re a genious!

Hey I am very ashamed to admit that i was not a fan of season one, because i had never seen the show before. So when season two came out i had every intention of watching it but by the time my life calmed down enough i sat down and what do ya know it was over so as soon as i found out that it back on to on demand i bought a case of beer and told everybody to leave me alone or shut the f up, and there i sat episode after episode until i had watched every tru blood that i had missed. I was a twilight fan but since my first bite of tru blood i cant wait until my next bite of season four i love u SOOKIE STACKHOUSE

Anyway I love darkbrown haired, blue-eyed, sexey englishmen. He is my favorite actor. Way to go HBO for bring this wonderful show for us. I can not wait to see what happens to QSA, Bill, Sookie, Eric, etc…. No you can not change my mind. Many have tried but I will always love Bill. I have said this before but Bill could drain BonTemps and will still love him. By the way people this is the tv show not the books. If you see it is almost a totally different story. I love all the characters in True Blood and my friends, family and I have emotional attachments to them all. With all the twist and turns from the first two seasons we stayed interested and became die hard True Blood fans. I have to say True Blood keeps you clinging to the edge of your seat and wanting more. I know that I can’t wait to find out what happens in season 4. I’m waiting for season 3 to hit the Wal-Mart shelves, so I can add it to my collection. 🙂 Right now your True Blood fans are going through True Blood with draw waiting for 2011. Andrea, it’s interesting you say that. I too had always pictured Vin Diesel and in an interview I found on youtube Charlaine Harris indicates that Vin Diesel and Yul Brynner (the King and I 1956) were her inspirations for the character.

They’re not going to kill Eric off. He’s becoming too valuable to the storyline to be killed off. He may disappear and then come back with amnesia or some other plot, but there would be an outrage if Eric is killed.
