True Blood’s Stephen Moyer Struts His Stuff in ‘Chicago’

And Who’s the True Blood Star in the Audience?

Many fans are uncomfortable with Stephen Moyer playing the villain in HBO’s True Blood Season 6. Bill Compton, the suave southerner that Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) once loved, has become the demi-god Billith and it seems he has lost the very things fan (and Sookie) found endearing about him. But in real life, Stephen Moyer is anything but the villain – and he’s multi-talented to boot!

Stephen has recently been singing up a storm in the stage production of Chicago. The True Blood star is playing the role of Billy Flynn. Stephen is starring alongside Xena star Lucy Lawless and singer (who is also the little sister to Jessica Simpson) Ashlee Simpson. Not only does his role call for a great singing voice, but Moyer can be seen dancing on stage as well.

And it wasn’t just fans in the audience of Chicago – Moyer had to contend with knowing there was a member of the True Blood cast also present. Kristin Bauer van Straten tweeted a photo of herself and her husband, Abri van Straten in the audience:

Kristin (who plays vampire Pam Swynford de Beaufort in HBO’s True Blood) was very impressed with Stephen Moyer’s performance, telling a fan on Twitter that he “rocked it” as the “dapper slick lawyer.”
