I would just have someone watch Bill and Sookie together.  You can see the pure love between them.  And, I love that Bill has a human that is hard to handle.

I like season one when jason stackhouse dranked the vamp blood in the back seat of the cop car, then they took him for questioning and he had to go to the bathroom and he was having a hard time in the bathroom. Tara saved his butt that time. right after that she went with him to the hospital. It was so funny the look on his face when the doc pulled out that giant needle to releive him. that was one of the best scenes. from a devoted trueblood fan.

It would have to be the scene in season 2 on the rooftop with Eric & Godric. It makes me cry every time I watch it. Alex’s performance was phenomenal.

Susan

I have to say… The whole Show when Bill and Lorena where on their killing spear. I loved the whole idea of Bill being bad. When some people see 1 or 2 shows, and they say Bill is too nice, I show them that show, from my tivo, and they become bigger fans. I hope Bill, gets a little badder in the next season. Thank you…

Melissa

I’m a new Truebie!!! Just finished season 1 and working on season 2 before Sunday. I have to pick just one?!?!?!
So far, I’d have to say, the scene where Sookie thinks Bill is dead from the house fire and goes to his grave to put flowers on it. When she’s walking away, Bill’s hand comes through the ground to grab her and then……

Jocelyn Hyers

Well I must admit I am torn, behind Eric’s making scene & Bill’s making scene .. while Eric’s scene epitomizes what a vampire is, Bill’s scene explains so much about who he really is & why he has such strong protective & loving feelings towards Sookie (due to his pain at the loss of his human family).

Oh darn, can’t we just combine them both into one? I cannot make up my mind on only one …

Marki Hammell

If i had to choose just one i would choose the one where the maenad is about to have the wedding ceramony amd both eric and bill go to the queen to get advice and sam takes arlens kids to fangtasia. I would choose this because it explains everything like about vampires and shapshifters and sookie and just about every aspect of the show. How crazy it can get and bills love for sookie and erics infatuation with sookie. Just shows sooo much about the show and is funny and intense at the same time. Its a good one

Cassi

well i show people the ending to the second season. with that HUGE cliff hanger but i tell them the bit of the story ahead of time to so they are just like omfg what happend why what huh? just like i was whenever i saw it. after i showed my best friend that scene he ran to my room grabbed my first season box and watched it all day and hes been watching the entire second season. i think i did a good job. i did the same thing with my boyfriend and got the same results :] i mean i prolly shouldnt show them the end of the season but now i got them to help me throw a massive trueblood party 🙂 BYOB (bring your own blood)

Dawn

The scene I would show someone to try and convince them to watch True Blood is the scene when Sookie wakes up to find a naked Sam at the end of her bed. I’d be able to explain that it’s a show about vampires coming out of the coffin, while also showing them there are other creatures as well. It’s the first time Sookies finds out about her best friend Sam and it’s such a comical scene. It’s one of my favourites of the first season.

Laura

The scene I would Choose to convince a friend to Watch Tru Blood would be in the first season when Bill saves Sookie and he asks her “What are you?” and she replyes “I’m a waitress” because its such a memorable moment between them and you just get sucked into it and you want to know … no you have to know what’s going to happen between them so it forces you to stick around for the rest of the season and the ones that follow after that.

Sandra

The first scene of episode one sets the tone for the whole show. When I saw that scene I was hooked and have not missed an episode since. That scene was pure genius, danger, intrigue and magic all rolled into one. I’ve gotten more people hooked on the show with that scene than you can shake a stake at!

Charm

In season 1 the scene where Lafayette comes out over the “AIDS” BURGER, and lets them two hicks have it! He went off. HILARIOUS!!

Kimberly

wow everyone has already named the good ones, The scene that i would have a friend watch in hopes that they would watch more would be the scene where eric has lafayette drink his blood to heal and lafayette bust some moves, haha thats hilarious, also when the fellowship of the sun send luke to bomb the house or apartment and sookie sucks the bullets out of eric’s chest, the tiny teacup humans scene would also be a must considering you actually get to see eric take flight :0)

Yekta

I have been really successful at getting people sucked into True Blood over the past 2 seasons. Most recently, I took my sister to the Ultimate Trubie event, where she got to watch the last episode of Season 2. I really love, in the last episode of season 2, the scene where Sookie being forced out of her house by Jason to be Maryann’s “maid of honor” and she sees Sam with Bill. It’s really the culmination of so many different story lines that are brought together by one insane event: Sam and Maryann, the tension between Sam and Bill, Maryann’s intrigue with Sookie and her “gift”, and her power over the townspeople–specifically Tara and her new love, Eggs. The whole scene–from the moment Sookie sees Bill taking Sam as a sacrifice, to the use of her telepathy to read Sam’s thoughts, it’s so intense. I love how quickly things escalate and how one second, Sam is a helpless sacrifice, being nearly gutted by Eggs, and the next second, he’s a massive bull, ripping through to Maryann’s rotten heart. I even love that Maryann had a black heart with black blood! Even after Tara and Jason come over to see what had happened, you hear their commentary: Jason is just like, dumbfounded and Tara can’t believe that she was “seduced” by Maryann. Even Bill, a vampire, shows his true nature at the end of the scene, when he tells Sookie that he wished so badly that she could read HIS thoughts so she wouldn’t be worried about Sam. That one scene has so many characters of True Blood in it, and they are all so perfectly representative of their real nature… It’s the best, most representative scene I could ever think of. Maryann’s got everyone blacked out, Sam shifts, Bill is a vampire with heart, Sookie is…well… Sookie. That scene’s got blood, love, supernatural beings–what more could a person ask for? As much as I would love to hope that my enthusiasm for True Blood is what makes my friends and family want to watch the show so badly, I know it’s primarily because of the amazing work that’s done by everyone on the show. They make the characters seem real, relatable, and at the same time, dangerously supernatural.

Sage

When I try to convince friends that True Blood is more than just another vampire show, I always make them watch the scene where Godric is on the roof with Eric; where Eric is begging Godric not to “kill” himself. I believe that it exemplifies the sensitivity that other shows don’t have, and the passion between people. Also it shows really hot guys, so they know they won’t be easily disappointed! And I have proudly turned a large number of friends into Trubies! Once you’ve seen a sexy 1,000 year old viking crying, you will never go back to sparkles!

brooke

Every time I try to convince someone I know to watch True Blood I tell them about the beginning of Season 2. The scene is when Lafayette is held captive in the basement and there is still one guy left with him. Eric comes down where they are with a towel on his shoulders and hair half done with foil. He suddenly rips the random guy apart and gets in Lafayette’s face to ask if there is blood in his hair. After Lafayette can finally spit out that he does have blood in his hair, Eric right away explains how Pam is going to be pissed. The reason I pick this scene is because it shows how gruesome and funny this show can be. I tend to win over a lot of friends with that part.

Lyndsay

Who ordered the hamburger–with AIDS? I’ve introduced three friends to the series through this clip and all insisted on watching every single episode of season 1 and 2 to catch up.

That particular clip works well to introduce people to the show disrupts their expectations. They’re expecting Twilight or Vampire Diaries, or something like that, and the AIDS burger scene is pure self-aware comedy.

On a more serious note, it also introduces some of the themes that continually run through the series of racism and homophobia that fear of vampires, whether organized through the Fellowship of the sun or individual prejudice, represents. Though there are no vampires in the scene, it sets the tone for the series.

Lexie

I’d have to go with the scene where Godrick meets the sun. It shows that there is some serious acting in the show. There is passion, and love, loss and vulnerability. The characters on the show are so fleshed out, and you feel for them. That’s what you need to be hooked. And it’s hard not to feel for Eric with the tears running down his face.

Stefanie

Tough to choose but probably the scene where Eric kills the guy in the Fangtasia basement because it is gross and funny and fantastic! It’s definitely a scene that gets and keeps your attention. It also has two of the show’s best (IMO) characters in it.

Jo

The scene I would chose from season 1 would be when Sookie is running to see bill in her white gown through the grass to where William hears her footsteps and sweeps her up off her feet. They enter into his house and strip naked on the living room floor. William’s fangs extend in the romantic lust filled way. Sookie asks for him to go ahead, and He begins to drink from her.

This scene just expresses the dark romantic feel and unusual storyline in a light that presents the series that drives you to want to watch more, and fans who have seen it, know how deeply romantic and emotional the scene is. It’s by far the most remember-able ,breath taking, sexy, lust filled, expression of love that cannot be denied.

Angela Szoke

The scene I choose would definitely be the opening scene, it was so jam packed with information it left your mind reeling about what’s to come…From TruBlood the drink (what is it, how does it work?), crazy sex-crazed kids looking for “V” (what does it do to you?), the stereotype of what we think a “vampire” should be and getting slapped in the face by what the reality of Vampirism is (a politician and a stereotypical redneck), not only by one but TWO vampires in just that opening sequence…and to see Nan Flanagan on Bill Mahr. While the “poser” is getting threatened by Billy Bob the redneck…it’s great television….what it said to me was strap in and hold on cause you’re in for a crazy ride….and it was true…that scene never lied to me…it has been a crazy beautiful thing and I can’t wait for season 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and well you get the picture. I?TRUEBLOOD!

erin

If I had to choose just one single scene to play, in hopes that they’d be as obsessed with True Blood as I am, then I’d have to start from the very first scene. Many people have mentioned the bar scene when Bill strolls into Merlotte’s and Sookie senses his presence there-That’s a wonderful scene, but when you’re trying to get an individual who tends to shun the whole “vampire thing”, then you have to expose them to some reality first.

The young, horny couple- skidding in hopes of actually having a chance to see or hear something about vampires in the area when they see that “We Have True Blood” sign outside of a gas station. The goth/rocker cashier toying with their ignorance by putting on that cheesy, Dracula-like accent, “Vampires cannot droowwnn, because we do not breathe.” Freaks the couple out- and pisses the Real Camo wearing Vampire- “I’ll fuck ya…and then I’ll eat ya!!!” “Have a nice day now!” LOVE IT!!!!

Erica

The scene I would choose is when Sookie thinks Bill died in the house fire with the others from the nest and she is crying in the woods and Bill comes up from the ground and has awesome You Thought I was Dead but Im Not Sex. That is scene is enough to make anyone continue to watch and LOVE IT!!!! HOTTTT!!!

Amy Marks

The best scene for me would be when Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) discovers that the Fellowship of the Sun is turning out to be a huge clusterf*@k and he leaves the pastor’s wife to go back for Sookie and play Rambo!! Then when everything unfolds with the other vampires showing up and Godric shows them how they’d be stooping to the same crazed level as the Fellowship members by going bloodbath on them all…such a phenomenal episode overall (especially later when Sookie gets in Bill’s ex’s face to claim her man!)

jennifer riddle

If i had to choose a scene it would be when jason took all the “v” and had to go to the hospital, that was so funny.

Erinn

If I had to choose a scene to show a friend it would prob, be from season 1 episode4-5 when sookie is running to see bill in her nightgown, and arrives at his door greeted by bill and when they have there first intimate time together Sookie races to Bill’s house, Bill hears her footsteps and sweeps her up. In Bill’s house, they strip naked and Bill’s fangs extend. Sookie tells him she wants him to do it, and Bill buries his teeth into her neck and starts to drink.[20][21]
“Burning House of Love” October 19, 2008
After taking Sookie’s blood and her virginity, Bill and Sookie soak in a warm bath. She feels comfortable enough to reveal a very dark secret. When she was a young girl, she was molested by her uncle Bartlett and she fails to notice the hateful, frightening look on Bill’s face. this is what I think every woman/man feel needed as in there first intimate encounter with one another, pure -lust…it got hot and steamy and you feel the emotions of the characters it shows bill as a vampire but shows him in a softer nature of his nature, that he doesnt just fang with a vengence…and sookie then tr5usts him with her life…literally during this scene…. this was the beginning of there love and bond forever

Christopher

Because most of my friends like artsy, dramatic scenes, I would show them the scene when Godric makes Eric. Visually, it’s very pleasing and the lighting matches the tone, but aside from that, the audience is meeting Godric for the first time. We see this young man with strange tattoos stalking the badass Viking until he strikes killing his mates and offering him the life he lives. We are introduced to the now famous “I’ll be your father, your brother, your child.” Their relationship begins in this scene and Eric’s life as the audience knows it begins here as well. It’s evident Eric was a strong warrior before he was turned and that’s certainly true about him as a vampire. This is the scene I’d show my friends because I know they’d appreciate it’s art, story, and the bloodshed.

Tiff

if i were trying to get someone into the show and had to pick just one scene to show them i would choose to show the scene where longshadow gets staked I along with many of my friends are very into scary , nasty, gory type things that would fit into that category and this would very much catch anyone of my friends attention

Leah Daly

If I had to choose a scene (there are SOOO many)! I would choose the scene where Eric and Sookie try to escape the Fellowship church! I would show them up until you hear the swooping of the Vampires entering the church, and Stan coming through the doors confronting Rev. Steve Newlin. A scene that get’s your blood pumping it is so exciting!! 🙂

vanessa

If I had to choose a scene to show a friend it would be the scene when Sookie meets Bill. I have showed many people this scene and they became hooked.

Rochelle

Even though I have turned out 5 of my friends on this show & into the books by this method its hard to choose a scene! But the one incident I can recall turning a friend out was they were over to my house and I shut down everything to watch Trueblood (meaning no spades on music) it was the episode where Lafayette was hurt and Eric offered Lafayette his blood to heal and Lafayette sucks Eric’s blood then all hell on the dance floor broke loose! He started dancing and getting jiggy with it hunching the furniture & doing the splits! hahahahahha haaaa I still crack up just thinking about that scene!

Cheryl Durst

Hands down, the scene that I would show anyone (and it has already “turned” some friends into Trubies)to convince them to watch the show would be Season One Episode One when Bill comes into Merlotte’s (the second evening) and Sookie walks over to the table where he is sitting and everyone in Merlotte’s is staring at Sookie as she walks to the table. The thoughts and comments from the folks at Merlotte’s that night clearly show the prejudise and oppostion they have concerning the possibility of a relationship between Bill and Sookie. After Sookie sits down at the table with Bill the interaction between them is sizzling: Bill says,”Do you realize that every person in this establishment is staring at us right now?” From Bill and Sookie’s interaction, plus the reaction of the folks at Merlotte’s that evening, the scene shows the forthcoming love story about to unfold between Sookie and (vampire)Bill plus the struggles they will have in many areas of their new found attraction. In addition, some of the thoughts and concerns from Sam and Tara, who happen to be very dear to Sookie, show their love of Sookie and their fear concerning Sookie becoming involved with a vampire. The scene is very comprehensive in showing what the core story of True Blood is about; A love story, fear of the unknown and eventual understanding and acceptance all things a bit “different”. That scene still rocks my world and I never get bored with watching it. I love True Blood.

Trula Januszkiewicz

Wow ,really hard since I love all of them. I want Eric & Sookie to be together so I would say the scene I best liked is when Eric tricks Sookie to suck the bullets out so she will be connected to Eric.It is funny every time I watch it.Think it really shows Sookie true nature to help anyone and Eric way to trick to get what he wants.LOL

vivian estalella

its a toss up…i would use the scene in season one when sookie runs across the cementary in a flowing white gown to get to bill, leading to her first sexual experience. my next choice would be episode one season 2, when bill tells sookie “i will atone…but i refuse to apologize for what you have awakened in me!…” both scenes are just plain hot!

Amanda

This is quite fitting because I’m going to be showing a friend a certain scene because he thinks he might like the show. It would depend on the friend but for this friend, and I think for most of my other friends, I would show the church scene in ‘Timebomb.’ In this scene of season two, we see a lot of the main cast plus some of my favourite guests. Jason gets to be the unsung hero, all the while being hilarious. His line about heaven being inside Sarah Newline depicts the kind of person Jason is in seconds: a horndog and hilarious. We get to see the societal issues resulting fromthe vampires coming out in Steve Newlin’s extremist attitude and his church, The Fellowship of the Sun. In Eric we get to see how badass he is in offering himself to save Sookie and Godric, but we also get to see his charming side as well. In Bill we see his devotion to Sookie. Finally, in Sookie we see a beautiful but strange young woman trapped in this chaotic yet calming world. We see these favourite characters in all their glory. Without them, the show would not exist. It wouldn’t be that campy comedic drama that we all know and love. Hopefully, Joe will like this scene from my favourite episode enough to be a lifelong fan(:

Danielle

The scene which I would choose to share with a friend would be Godric on the roof waiting for the sun, while accompanied by Sookie and Eric. This scene depicts the overarching lives and emotions which have developed in humans and vampires since they came “out of the closet”. In this scene is depicted the importance of a vampire experience, age and insights and how these elements can actually provide humans with an alternate view point on the discrimination which exists. Also it illustrates the possibility of a peaceful coexistence between the humans and vampires because of common understandings and deeply buried or even overt human feelings: Godric still surprised by by humankind as he witnesses Sookie’s act of compassion toward Godric as he nears the end and for Eric as he mourns the soon to arrive loss of his maker.

Kyle

Actually–rewatching season 2 now–I’d like to change my scene–the showdown in the church in 2×08 “Timebomb”–where Eric is tied down, then the Texans come in to start a war and Godric stops them.

LS

The scene choice would change depending on the friend. But the previous responders have chosen many I would also use as an introduction. So, how about the final church scene in Season 2 that shows the conflict between the vampires and the Fellowship followers that showcases several key players, including Godric?

Nancy

There’s one last funny bit I meant to mention in my post just below this. The scene actually ends with Andy, very much in character, expressing just how blitzed he is by what he’s just seen Sam do. He takes a swig from a big bottle of booze, then says, “That’s the last drink I’ll ever take” (which we know he doesn’t mean).

Great stuff, my friends!

Nancy

I would show the scene from “New World in My View” (Episode 22) in which Jason, Andy, and Sam do a number on the crowd at Merlotte’s who are in a Bacchanalian frenzy under Maryanne’s influence. This scene is extremely funny and would capture a new viewer’s attention very quickly. I’m referring to the beginning of the scene when Jason announces, after getting the crowd’s attention by throwing flares, that he is “the God who comes” and a man in the crowd responds, “You’re the God of cum?”

Then Sam pantomimes horns to Jason and Andy, immediately followed by a shot of Andy with his big flashlight (which is important later in the scene), who is hiding behind Jason, whispering to Jason that he needs horns.

The next really funny part follows soon after, when Jason says, after hesitating, then speaking in a way that unmistakeably sounds like he’s figuring out what to say as he says it (great acting and very funny), “You’ll all have great weather and good crops. Now leave.” This elicits the response from the same man in the crowd, “Bullshit. God hath horns.” Then Andy holds a tree branch up behind Jason’s head to simulate horns, shining his flashlight on them so it appears that Jason has just sprung the brightly lit horns from his head (and we get our first good look at what Jason is wearing on his face – a gas mask and a welder’s shield). This elicits a quiet “whoa” from another man in the crowd, which subtly tells us that the crowd is stunned, believing what Jason is saying (after all they are, in effect, very stoned).

Then Sam, quickly seizing the opportunity to exploit the crowd’s belief that they’re witnessing God, calls Jason “Lord” and tells Jason to smite him. Jason turns to Andy, saying he “can’t hear inside this thing”,loud enough for the crowd to hear and causing Sam to yell at him, “Smite me, motherfucker!”. Great timing, very funny.

Jason then “smites” Sam, as Andy shines his flashlight back and forth over Sam and whoosh, Sam disappears. The crowd is amazed, as are Andy and Jason, with Andy saying to Jason, “What the fuck happened to Sam?” and Jason responds, “I have no fuckin’ idea”, as they don’t know Sam is a Shapeshifter. Jason, as he stares in amazement at the spot where Sam was, quickly covers himself by declaring that, as their leader, he is “very pleased with his offering”. The crowd expresses their thanks to Jason, rather, I mean, “God”.

Jason, thinking quickly, tells the crowd they’re all blessed and they should go. The same man in the crowd, taking charge, tells the crowd to “report to Maryanne for debriefing”, which causes a woman in the crowd to say, very cheerily, “Anybody who wants to debrief me can do so, right now!”

The crowd leaves, at which point Jason takes the gas mask and shield off his face and he and Andy go and stare at the spot where Sam had been, wondering what could have happened to him.

Then the kicker, to end the scene. Sam, wearing an apron that leaves his buttcheeks exposed (remember, when he turns back from an animal to human form he’s naked), casually appears with two fire extinguishers, spraying the flares with one of them. The sound of the spray causes Jason and Andy, who have their backs to Sam, to jump and turn around, at which point they see Sam in his apron. Sam puts the other fire extinguisher down on the ground as he calls back to Jason and Andy that he’ll “explain later” and tells them to “help him put the flares out before they start a fuckin’ fire”.

Great scene, with non-stop great comedic writing and acting. If this scene doesn’t grab a first-time viewer, then that viewer has no sense of humor whatsoever!

nifesia

id have to say in episode 12, season 2 when Sookie confronts MaryAnne about being in her house. MaryAnne invades sookie’s personal space while Bill is trying to get sookie to leave and sookie holds her hand up to MaryAnne’s face and tells her to back off. When Sookie does that, you see an energy come from her and push against MaryAnne, and although it doesnt scare MaryAnne, you see that this powerful woman is intrigued when she says, “What ARE you?”. This scene opens up your imagination to the possibilities of what Sookie truly might be, especially if a powerful woman is curious and a vampire looks stunned. That would make many people want to watch the show just to see if they were right in their assumption.

Kyle

So many to choose from, but you need a scene with violence and gore. I would say in season 2 when the ‘Zombies’ attack Merlotts.

amy

If I had to choose just one scene to convince a friend to watch True Blood it would be Season 1 episode 4 when Sookie first meets Eric in Fangtasia. I absolutely adore the love triangle between Eric Sookie and Bill. The way Eric Northman is first introduced to us is so perfect. There was so much tension, passion, and humor in that scene and of course the phenomenal acting. There is so much chemistry between the actors. I just loved this scene so much. Personally after this particular scene I was addicted and wanted more so I would show this to a friend. The way Eric looked at Sookie with such intensity and lust and the authority he holds made me wonder about the future love triangle. Also I love Pams sassy attitude.

karin los angeles

i think this scene was in the very first show. where a couple drives to a liquor store and the person behind the counter pretends he is a vampire. the kids get scared, then a redneck looking vet guy goes up to pay for his true blood and shows the clerk his fangs……tells you what is to come and how much you will be surprised.

lani

Hmmmm…I really liked the Godric and Eric scene on the roof..very moving….But, To Pick a favorite for other folks to get into it…Gotta, say the Cemetery Scene….When Sookie’s all sad, thinking Bills gone…Then Damn!! Gotta love it!! That would probably catch a bunch more fans!! There is a lot more, too..!?! But, that’s my fav.!!

lee

I would probably show them the scene when Eric goes to Lafayettes to heal him and then Lafayette dances and humps the chair kind of…so funny… although there are too many moments to pick just one.

Liz Fluitt

My favorite scene is the dream scene between Eric, Sookie and Lorena. The haziness of the scene sets the stage for the unreality. Both Ms. Paquin and Mr. Skarsgard have beautiful bodies. Lorena is having too much fun talking about poor abandoned Bill. The scene if sexy, funny and prophetic all at the same time.

Emily Vigue

If you were trying to convince a friend to watch True Blood using only 1 scene, what would you show them and why?

season 1 episode 1 because I love the part when Tara tells off that big woman and her boss in the super save a bunch store I love when she says why didn’t you just buy it on line or did you make an excuse to wear there ugly ass clothes? then the big woam says I would like to speak to your manager she like fine and she yeslls for him and then she syas you are not getitng me fired and i quittng your a F***** cadilist and I outta thank you. Her bodd comes over and she’s like slaps his face and says that’s for patting my ass to much then tara says I’m gonn’a get my baby daddy and come and knock your teeth in and her boss says Tara no please don’t and she’s like ohh my god I’m not serious you pathetic racist and then tara says I know your stupid and but do you have to be that stupid. I love that now that’s tara at there best.

Stephanie Hasso

If you were trying to convince a friend to watch True Blood using only 1 scene, what would you show them and why?

I would say the first time Sookie meet/sees Bill, its such a intense scene.. It totally sets up show, its what got me into the show in the first place. You can see the attraction between them and you want to see what happens next..

cali De Vries

I think i’m going to say the scene in season 2 when eric tears the redneck to pieces in the basement and then worries about his hair and how pam is going to kill him, and his telling Lafayette he is going to back him up about what happened.

I mean how could someone who’s never seen the show not love the grisly violence yet hilarity of that scene!

Kayla

If you were trying to convince a friend to watch True Blood using only 1 scene, what would you show them and why?

Usually, it would be any scene with Eric or Lafayette, because they always produce some great scenes, but I guess I’ll have to be specific. My favorite part was definitely the AIDs burger scene. It was one of the funniest, and knowing my friends, it would probably appeal to them. They would want to know that True Blood isn’t just full of Sookie & Bill scenes, sex, and violence. It’s so much more!

zachary

season 2 final Layfette at the meat tree whin he says “god with horns worship him, bithes!”

kathy

the scene where Jason call his gun kid glock. actually any scene with Jason, they are like really funny, slow motion train wreaks.

Ashley Cyr

I would most definitely show the scene with Godrick, Eric, and Sookie on the roof as Godrick meets the sun, to any of my friends. I know that they would fall in love as soon as they saw the intenseness of that scene and the wild mix of emotion. With Godrick being happy that he’s lead a full life as a vampire and Soookie and Eric being so sad he has to go, it’s an amazingly well done scene that would leave any person wanting to watch more of this show for hours on end. And if they continued on to the next episode and saw that first scene with Eric and Sookie! Whoo! If they were already hooked from the rooftop scene, this would be the scene that kept them hooked for life.

Roxi

WOw, that is tough! Don’t know if this qualifies or not, but in the upcoming Season 3, even though we haven’t seem the episode yet, with trailer that shows the scene where Erik and Pam are auditioning all different crazy people on the dance floor showing off their skills for Fangtasia. Just the look on Erik’s face of total disgust for humans, until the hot chick comes in to show it all! It’s kicky, funny and especially since we haven’t seen it all, it draws you in, wanting the whole bite! I turned 3 of my friends onto the show – they love it! Ditto….

MelanieJo

If you were trying to convince a friend to watch True Blood using only 1 scene, what would you show them and why?

Hmm…that is really tough. Im going to pick the scene with Eric in the bathtub waiting for Bill. Besides being hot, it shows that vampires can be normal. Plus it was a funny scene between Bill and Eric. Anyone would fall in love with show after watching that!

melissa Molenda

If I had to pick one scene to get someone hooked on True Blood it would be the scene in season 2 when sookie is attacked by the maenad when running through the trees . It shows adventure and laeves the person yearning for more.
Im a Trubie and I love the show

Stephanie

If I had to pick one scene it would be season 2 when lorena finds bill in Dallas that force between her and bill the maker has suck a strong hold on bill for while it was worth converting my churchgoin christian sister in law on that scene she never knew true blood befor that Now she’s hooked like the rest of the world yay me and trueblood

Donna

Any newbie trubie can appeciate season 2 I think episode 2 with Layfette and the redneck down in Fangtasia’s basement. Darkly funny, and violent this whole scene really shows the tone and pace of the show. From the humor to Eric tearing the redneck into pieces and ending with “is there blood in my hair” and “Pam’s going to kill me”. What’s not to love? Foil tips have never looked so good.

cindy

for me i will tell them to walk the scene where godric is taken and eric is bind in silver. when all the vampires show up to kill the fellowship and jason hits steve with the paint ball gun. that scene had everything, fun, action, danger it was just everything the show stands for.

Brenda Morris

I would have a friend view the scene where sookie in bed turns to her partner and we see Eric. They are teasing about why she doesn’t want to be turned. I like the scene it comes after Bill tells Sookie that since she had some of Eric’s blood when whe thought she was heping after the bomb went off now not only would he sense her feelings she would feel an attraction to him. tghe look on her face is priceless.

Emily Wasek

I think I would show the scene from season 1 in episode 7 (I believe) where Bill and Sookie have sex for the first time and they take a bath together. Why you ask? Apart from oogling Stephen Moyer and all his goodness, I like this scene dialogue wise. Bill and Sookie talk about vampire myths that most people today find stupid. You get a lesson in the realm of this vampire world Alan Ball and Charlaine Harris have worked so hard to create. I love Bill’s answers especially to reflections being a myth vampires themselves started to lure in prey and I find it hilarious that crosses are “geometry”. This scene shows humor and sex, but Sookie shares some of her darker sides of her past with Bill in this scene as well. It gives a glimpse into the complexity of the world of True Blood without giving a “newbie Truebie” too much all at once. This is the perfect scene to titillate the senses with pure essence of True Blood genius. Plus who wouldn’t get hooked by watching two beautiful people naked talking about mythology, sex, and danger?

terra oenning

I would show them the graveyard ssex scene. they didnt believe me about it lol. so i wanna show them

Julie Karczewski

The scene that I feel would “hook” most viewers would have to be when Bill saved Sookie from the Rattray’s while they sit by the water. She takes his blood and begins to heal from her life-threatening injuries and Bill discovers what a different “human” Sookie is. I feel this is where Bill falls for Sookie and will do anything to protect her.

Alia

The moment during which Sookie eats Gran’s pecan pie, all by herself after the funeral is especially moving. Sookie always strives to please others and put on a happy face during difficult times. But this time, it was just too much for her to bear. She did not allow herself to even cry, and then she blew up at Maxine Fortenberry for touching the pie. When she does finally eat the pie and cry, all by herself in the kitchen, it is an amazing image and an important moment for Sookie; she finally lets herself grieve and acknowledge that she cannot fix everything, and sometimes its alright to let yourself feel sad.

Dina

I would show them “Cold Ground” from Season 1; right in the middle of all the murders but a first time viewer wouldn’t be lost; we see Sookie lose her grandmother and finally give in to all of her emotions for Bill; and it ends so perfectly with him biting her that you’re like AH! I need to see more!? Anyones would be hooked from then on.

jessikuh

I would show my friend the scene where Jason smites Sam in front of the Bon Temps Zombies. Why? Well 1 because it’s hilarious and 2 because I know her type and a naked version of “her type” will have her saying “next episode please!” by the end of it.

Grace

There are so many great scenes to choose from but an all-time favorite of mine is from season one. Lafayette’s AIDS-burger scene with the rednecks is not only one of the best scenes from this show but in my opinion from any show on TV. I just love it.

heatherzilla

My favorite is the Godric/Eric/Sookie storyline. I would show my friends the scene where Godric meets the sun and Sookie’s dream of going to Eric afterward.

Lori V.

Like the others all said I was bitten from the start. There are so many that I’ve shown others that have turned them to fangbangers. The one that gets them the most is when Sookie finally gets dressed in her white nightgown and runs to Bills grave and they make love in the mud. At first some of their reactions where like “oh My” gross. Then the guys were saying “that’s my kind of girl” right after a football game on the field baby 50 yard line. He got smacked for that. Great show they have even added HBO this season just for Trueblood. WE CAN’T WAIT!

Leslie

I was hooked from the very first episode, too. I have brought over my skeptical friends, however, by introducing them to the humor that comes in so well during the heavy, dramatic moments. For example, the scene in Season 2 when Eric has Lafayette in the basement, and he rips Lafayette’s fellow prisoner limb from limb, then turns to Lafayette and asks if there’s blood in his hair, commenting that Pam’s going to kill him. While all of my friends aren’t crazy about vampires, they DO all appreciate dark, irreverent humor, which True Blood delivers in spades!

stephen noonan

the scene that i would pick would be the one on the roof between godrick, eric and sookie in season two. not only was the dialogue that was spoken by godrick prior to his “meltdown” demise poetic, but the entire scene had raw emotion and compelling performances between all three actors.

Miranda

I have actually turned several of my friends and family members onto True Blood by having them come over and watch the episodes on demand with me. If I were to pick the one episode I could show them to convince them to watch the show, it would have to be episode 6 of season 1. This is the one where Sookie comes home to find her Gran lying on the floor murdered. I cried during this episode, it was heartbreaking. I had not read the books at that point so I had no idea of what was coming and it shocked me to the core. It shows that this show is outside the norm of others, in that it can kill off one of the main characters in the first few episodes and not lose its veiwers but gain more. This is also the episode in which Bill stands outside Sookies house on the lawn all night long, along with Sam in collie form watching over her. The next night is the first time Bill and Sookie make love on the show and he bites her for the first time. In this episode Sookie also stumbles onto Bill’s actual grave during her Gran’s funeral. For these reasons and many many others I would choose this episode. I would love the chance to have a season 3 premiere party but can not really afford everything to do so, and if I were to win this package, it would allow me to do just that.

Gina.Melissa

The one scene I would chose from the first season would be the scene where Vampire Bill visits Sookie, her Gran, Jason and Tara at Gran’s house. My friends love to laugh! So picking this scene would surely spark curiousity in my friends and get them to watch more. When Tara askes Bill if the Compton’s owned slaves? …hilarious!!!!

Melissa

I would show them the first episode, that was all it took for me to fall in love. I know that’s all it takes because I have already done this to my sister, 2 coworkers, and 2 neighbors!! I love that they are all as obsessed as I am. My younger sister was watching prior to me and she came over one day and we watched episode one and I went straight to the store and bought the first season as soon as she left.
Thank you for the opportunity.

blair knight

For me I was hooked from the very first episode. I think it has the ability to pull anyone in. I love the scene in particular when sookie first sees bill in the bar yet she doesn’t know his name yet and sheand everyone else is mesmerized watching him at the table. she then turns to sam and says I think merlottes just had its first vampire. she is so excited and happy just like a child while sam and tara are pretty apphrensive. it sets up an interesting dynaic amongst the characters right off the bat and you just know you are in for an interesting ride.

R.E.B.

Because I love humor in my darkness, I’d start with the scene where Eric is at Lafayette’s window in season 2, after he’s released him. There is fear in the beginning, but then, when Lafayette is healed, Eric sits calmly after doing his “good deed” while Lafayette bounces around, wanting to “dance” yelling “Vegas Baby”. It is part of what makes me love this show, an awesome character in Lafayette that makes me laugh with his quirks, Eric’s sexy and sly knowledge and power and crazy situations involving scary vampires and humans. It’s a great contrast, as lightening up the tension/suspense with strange humor is my cup of tea. Or cup of V, whichever. 🙂 I would have to glamour them afterwards to prevent spoilers (just remember the feeling that now they needed to see the show). But that can be arranged. 🙂

stacia

Any scene picked would convince someone to watch True Blood. The one I would choose would be when Lorena attacks Sookie and Godrick grabs Lorena by the neck and says retract your fangs. No wonder they hate us it ones like you who make them feel that way. And he goes on to say how she acts like a child that pulls the wings off a dragonfly for sport and like a child Lorna replies well she provoked me first. Godrick then puts her in her place by saying you provoked me why didn’t I act like a child like you I could have but I did not why because you have a choice how you act that’s right then he makes her leave. This is what the show is all about the choices that each one makes whether to be good or evil its up to them. This is what Godrick points out.
And yes I did paraphrase the seen.

Jessie

I was hooked with the first episode, so from that episode, I’d tell my friend about the scene where Sookie rescues Bill from Denise and Mack Rattray. It introduces the audience to the danger and allure of the vampire/human relationship. It also shows off Sookie’s spunk, courage, and intelligence which keeps you wanting to watch what else she’ll do. Not to mention the drug addiction element that is very relatable to “the real world.” I’ve managed to talk many friends into watching True Blood this way. 🙂

lizzie

The scene I would show would be the one where Bill first meets Gran and then Bill and Sookie go for a walk. Sookie asks Bill to glamour her and she pretends to be glamoured then laughs in his face! The look of confusion on Bill’s face is priceless! Then, after a while they arrive at Bill’s place and Bill asks Sookie to take he clip out! When Bill says those words, my panties melted! Nathan Barr’s music building up to a crescendo and then Bill smells Sookie’s hair and then Sookie grabs Bill by his neck and kiss! That was an extremely sexy and sensual scene as it showed Sookie had the hots for Bill and it was the first instance from Bill that he knew he had feelings for Sookie! Then Bill’s fangs came out and he felt embarrassed or ashamed for his fangs, and suggests that he take Sookie back home. This is the beginning of their romance and hurdles to come!

This scene will show my friends that Bill is trying to mainstream and make a good impression to not only Sookie, but her family and friends. He could have easily have bit her, but he was a gentleman and a Vampire in the throws of love!

Jeanette Rivera

The scene when Sam has Arlene’s kids at Fangtasia’s. Eric says that they are tea cup humans. Then Pam tells Eric, in I believe Swedish that she is so glad she didn’t have any of those things (kids). She says they stink and Eric tells her but their delicious. (delicato)
I always enjoy the banter between Eric and Pam!

Jan Potter

Season # 1
Tara at work and this lady comes in looking for some thing she does not know what call it.But is sure they have it and drove over to get what she does not know what to call it.
Tara ask her does she have a phone ,then why didn”t you call be for driving over to get what she doesn’t know what call it .
Or did she just want to wear those ugle ass clothes.

KatOfDiamonds

I would probably pick Godric/Eric/Sookie on the roof before Godric meet’s the sun because it is SO emotional and telling of the world of the True Blood characters… It shows where the vampire world has been and shows where the goal might be for the future. Godric speaking of 2,000 years around humans combined with Sookie’s mortality and compassion and a sneak peak of Eric’s soul that has been buried so deep… Gah!!! How could you not get hooked after a scene with that kind of emotional climate?!

Gary Pinchot

I was hooked from episode 1 so I would have to say the opening scene from the first episode. It sets the mood for the rest of the series when the oblivious college kids stop in the convenience store and the clerk plays off like he is a vamp trying to freak them out. Then the local ‘Bubba’ guy walks up and pops fangs. It sets the mood for the season because everyone has a set image of what they expect vampires to look like and in the first 5 minutes ‘Bubba’ throws it all out the window and makes you rethink everything you thought you knew.

Loleaf

I would have to say the episode that I would show someone to get them hooked would be the ep. 8 : TIMEBOMB in the Fellowship of the Sun Church!! There was so much going on: Bill rushing in to save Sookie, Jason yelling “Newlin” shooting the gun out of his hand then painting a paintball bulls-eye right on his forehead (Quoting “Let Her Go Fu**wad”, just the look on Steve’s face while he was holding his head was priceless)! Sookie running to Save Eric against Bill’s wishes (and before it showed Eric smoking from being burnt by the chains, it showed Maryanne frying a heart in a skillet; now that’s what I call a segway.. lol). An all out brawl with the rogue vampires, Godric saving the day. Jason telling Sookie that it was like the Newlins sucked out his brains and planted their own babies in there. Then the peace DE Resistance: Jason telling Steve Newlin, “I reckin I’ve already been to heaven, it was inside your wife”!!!

Paige

I would chose the scene that hooked me! The very first scene when Sookie and Bill meet! And then I recommend every subsequent scene, episode, and book thereafter! After reading Dead Until Dark, and then watching the first episode of TrueBlood Season 1, I was hooked because I had never seen a more accurate book to screen adaptation. Anna Paquin portrayed the perfect intrigued Sookie to Stephen Moyer’s sultry, mainstreaming vampire Bill in this scene. The scene also lets the audience know that vampires are common knowledge in this universe, and although Bill may not seem scary, the surrounding humans are still wary and prejudice against the sudden vampire revelation. This scene also indicates to the audience that their is something more to Sookie than just being a “Waitress,” which leaves the audience wanting to know more.

Amy

The scene i would choose is the one where Eric is being made into a vampire by Godric. Powerful scene!

Adam Troutt

I’d have to pick the scene where Sam goes into Dawn’s apartment after she was murdered and starts rolling around and smelling the bed sheets. It’s just one of those scenes where you watch and say “WTF? Ok I need to know what’s going on.”

pbt

Why pick bloody, sexy or funny. I’ve chosen a scene that pulls all of these attributes together quite nicely.

The infamous bullet sucking scene between Sookie and Eric.

S: I can’t breathe. You weigh a ton.
E: Ahhh.
S: Uh oh.
E: Had to shield you.
S: Well hurry up and heal yourself. What are you waiting for?
E: Can’t silver. No time.
S: I will go and get Godric.
E: Silver. No time, suck it out.
S: Eric, I can’t. It’s too gross and it’s you.
E: I’m dying…..
S: Awe, son of a mother fuc*er. There!
E: The other one.
S: You’re kidding me. Ugh.
E: (big as* smile from Eric)

OK, I know I have it memorized forebatem but it really is a great scene and it encapsulates everything that is True Blood. The gore of the bombing, the sexual attraction on Eric’s part at least of course the comic nature of Eric and Sookie’s exchanges. Well done, Nancy Oliver for writing this episode.

Kudos to True Blood for a job well done on the entire episode but especially this exchange between Sookie and Eric and the “tiny falsehood”!

Jess McC

If I could pick one scene to convince someone to watch True Blood it would definitely have to be from Season 2 Episode 9. The scene where Sookie dreams about her and Eric for the first time. Eric barely wrapped in a bed sheet could surely convince just about anyone! 😉

kati

most definitely the scene where bill is waiting on jessica to come out of the ground after he turns her into a vampire- and he’s trying to explain to her how her new life will be- & all she cares about is killing people and she says you suck! hahah thats funny cause you do suck

Sofia

I would have to choose the scene of the first episode where Sookie notices Bill at Merlottes for the first time. The way she looks at him and says that they just got their first vampire was what hooked me to the show. Sookie’s wonder and interest in that scene is what I felt when I finished watching that episode, wanting more. So I think that scene will pretty much hook anyone to the show.

Jayne Ingram

This was a tuffy. There are so many to choose from!!! But i had to go with the scene where Eric shows up at Lafayette’s window and offers him his blood to heal him after getting shot at Fangtasia while being held captive. Watching Lafayette’s reaction to Eric’s blood while Eric’s on his cell phone talking to Bill, and then Eric’s wrist healing shows the extreme humor, and the cool special effects. My daughter and I nearly peed our pants we laughed so hard!

Susan

I’m going to have to go with the scene where Sookie is telling Bill about how Eric has Lafayette locked up. Then Sookie goes off on Eric with a nice little slap. I think it shows how much Sookie cares about the other around her. Plus it shows how strong she is a person. It also let’s you know that Eric has power. Also it let’s any new viewer know that these vamps have fangs that are meant to harm people. I just love the dynamic the two have.

Sue Luknbaugh

Picking just one scene is way too hard! I’d have to go with my favorite scene, even though its been used before. I’d show the scene in the basement with Eric and Lafayette. Eric with his hair in foil has just ripped apart his other captive…I love how he asks “Is there any blood in my hair?” all serious. It cracks up everytime.

Amanda

In my opinion, the draw of the show is the general concept, and the humor.

I would show the scene at the end of Se 2 where Sam takes Arlene’s kids to Fangtasia to ask for Eric’s help with Maryanne. It’s an all around perfect scene that demonstrates the shows humor (the teacup humans joke gets me every single time), and I love the kids reaction to their “first vamp experience” with Eric. The Pam/Eric dynamic is always great, and, Eric’s mega hotness is clearly a sell all in itself.

jessica

If I had to pick a scene to show my friend it would have to be the scene in season 2 where Jessica goes to Merlotte’s and meets Hoyt. Everything about that scene was perfect. It shows the duality of the vampires in an artistic way, because on the surface it’s romantic, but the darker side of Jessica is shown when she admires Hoyt’s pulse. I honestly think that was a great representation of a main theme in the show, and was the start of one of the best storylines on the show!

Jami

The scene where Eric takes Sookie from the church on Godric’s orders. She realizes Godric is Eric’s maker.

Sookie: He’s your maker isn’t he?
Eric: Don’t use words you don’t understand.
Sookie: You have a lot of love for him.
Eric: Don’t use words I don’t understand

It show’s viewers that Eric isn’t as hard as he makes himself out to be.

Michala Bernal

My friends are all a lil twisted, so it would be a pretty twisted scene.

Eric. Throws an arm at Lafayette. Tells him to let him know if he has any silver on him. Laf says I ain’t that stupid. Eric says, yes you are. Then he asks if there is blood in his hair. Pam’s gonna kill me. That’s great.

HAHA

My friends are all twisted. I would totally get them hooked on True Blood this way.

Michala Bernal

Sorry. I hit the wrong reply button.

Alexandra Garrido

If i had to choose one scene it would be when Godric meets the sun up on the roof, because it shows that True Blood goes beyond the usual vampire stories and delves into the development of a vampires life. It shows how after thousands of years, good is not eradicated. I find this aspect intriguing. “A human with me at the end, and human tears. 2,000 years and I can still be surprised. In this I see God.”

gaile

If I had to choose one scene I probably choose the scene where Sookie saves Bill from the Drainers.. Where afterwards he gets close to her and asks her “WHAT ARE YOU?” and she answers ‘A WAITRESS”

I choose this cause the whole story is set up from that one scene.. A Waitress who’s life from that moment on will forever be connected to this one Vampire.. If you think about it. Everything sort of revolves around Sookie and Bill..

Nicole

Usually when I watch trueblood the ends of the episodes hook me that I have to watch the next and end up blowing through all the discs. If I would have to pick one it would be in season 2 during the “orgy” when it ends with Sam about to be stabbed. I couldn’t go to bed without finding out what happened to Sam next.

Heather

I would show them the very last scene of the second season, when Sookie finds that Bill is missing because they would want to find out what led up to Bill being kidnapped and they would want to find out what happened to him. Therefore, they would definitely want to see every single episode!!!

Lena

I would pick the scene where Sam reveals to Sookie that he is a shapeshifter. She brings him to Bill’s Believing him to be a collie and when they fall asleep together on the bed he turns back into a man-naked!

Samantha

I would choose the scene where the townies don’t wanna eat Lafayette’s AIDS burger and Lafayette just walks over to them and gives them what they deserve. Lafayette is one of the favorite characters among everyone I know who watches this show, and this scene really showcases the attitude that True Blood has. It has drama, comedy, and action in one. Also, I think it is an interesting scene because it has nothing to do with vampires or supernatural beings, and shows that there are also HUMAN characters dealing with more of the “real life” issues in this show as well. Almost anyone who has heard of TrueBlood knows it has something to do with vampires, but it’s not just about that.. it’s about ALL of the characters and all the crazy things they go through in this little town. From crazy townies claiming there’s AIDS in his burger to vampires hanging out amongst the human race.

April

I would show them (and have) the scene where Tara walks in on Jason in the freezer with a “acute” case priapism because he doing V. I love it, its hilarious and everyone I have showed it always sit down to watch how Jason got the V an what the doctors visit was like, by that time they are hooked.

Kimberly Lovin

I have so many scenes that I truly can not decide so I guess I will just tell you about getting my mother hooked on Trueblood. About two weeks ago I went and bought Season One. Then my mother came to my house and we literally had a Season One Trueblood day. We started the series at like noon and did not finish till midnight that night. She was glued to the tv. It was funny cause all the sex scenes she was like OMG! I have now bought Season Two and we are planning another full day before Season Three starts. Nothing like having a mother, daughter day!

SHEENA

Well all my friends are Hello Kitty and True Blood obsessed as I am so I would show them the scene where Lafayette walks in on Tara and Sookie arguing saying “Hello Kitty’s claws is coming out”.

Yesenia

I would choose the scene where Sookie has to suck the bullet out of Eric because A) It’s hot in a perverse way, B) You can see Eric’s diabolical side by his smiling, C) You get to see a whole lot of characters which proves there is a lot of eye candy and D) It will make them wonder what the hell happened to have a suicide bomber in the middle of a bunch of vamps in the first place.
Thanks!!

Tori

I would show the scene in fangtasia when Sookie is helping Eric in Season 1. This is the scene when Longshadow is discovered and Staked. I would use this scene because of several reasons.
First off it shows that Sookie has some odd power. It shows the intensity, and some of the seriousness, of the show. This scene also shows Bill’s love, and willingness to save, Sookie.
Basically it encompasses all of the addicting facets of the show

leanna

The scene when Godric met the morning sun with Sookie by his side….Magical

Jenna

I would show them the scene where Sookie has the dream about Eric. The reason being because I know that my friends would swoon over Eric and also it opens up the door for the love triangle like in the books.

Carissa

I would have to do what my friends did to me, show them the first episode of the first season. It is so intruiging and I know that when I watched it, I wantedto know what was coming next. So I know my friend would definately want to know what would happen next.

Tawny Moeller

I didn’t know if we had to post our response to the question in here or not, but here goes nothing. (response for the True Blood prize package)

Well, for the past year I have been trying to get my mom to watch True Blood. I showed her a video clip to get her to watch the show with me, and the clip that I showed her was in Season 1, when the rednecks came into Merlotte’s after the DGD meeting, and they ordered a Hamburger Deluxe, other known as the “AIDS burger” scene. She thought that it was hilarious, and she fell in love with Lafayette. So we ended up watching the whole first season of True Blood, and then bought season two, and we watched that as well. She is now a huuuuge fan of the show, and now I call her a True Blood Nazi because she loves it THAT much.

So, I think that I would send that clip to my friends to watch the show. 🙂

Shelby

Love all the scene of Eric and Sookie, but I would choose the scene from Season 2 where Maxine Fortenbery is playing the Wii in Bill’s house while being under the spell of Maryanne. The scene demonstrates the humorous side of True Blood and how a vamp, like Bill, who is over a hundred years old can still have a Wii in his home. It brings the past to the present. Very funny!

Diane Capkovic

Goodness, there are so many good scenes. If I had to narrow it down to one. The last show of Season 2, where the Queen jumps on Eric while they are playing Yatzhe. Just the total intensity of Eric and the Queen together. That scene just promotes the show’s whole image and dynamics.

Heather A

I think the episode where she thinks bill is dead and he come out of the grave and has sex with her is great its got sorrow and the passion of the show in that one scene most of my friends Like sex so I know that scene would definitely hook them on the show!

sarah

Oh man, I have to pick just one scene. Usually I just hand my Season One dvd over, and they’re hooked. But I guess if I have to pick one of my favorites it is in Season One and it’s the scene where Bill rescues Sookie from the Rattrays , he carries her to the lake and gives her his blood to heal her. During this scene you find out alot about Sookie and who she is, and what Bill is willing to do to save her.

lisa

if i was going to convice someone who hasnt seen the show to watch one clip it would be when sookie thinks bill is dead and is putting flowers on his grave, when he comes out and has sex with her when he is all dirty and beautiful.

Amanda Morris

The scene from episode 9, season 2 with Eric, Godric and Sookie. At the very end, Godric is on the roof preparing to burn because he had put himself on the line to prove to the humans that not all Vampires are soulless, cold creatures, only to have been shown that Humans don’t care. Eric is trying to convince his maker that he doesn’t have to burn, that it’s not worth it. The emotion shown by the both of them in this scene is amazing. Then Sookie comes into play to be with Godric so that Eric won’t burn as well, and Godric comments on the fact that even after 2,000 years, humans can still surprise him. It is the perfect scene to show, because it isn’t cheesy or gory, and it sends a wonderful message.

Dusty

Definetly the scene when Sookie and Eric are tryin to get out of the church and Eric acts like he’s normal to get the stakes away from the guys, I choose this one because it shows how amazing Eric is and the relationship that is being built between Sookie and Eric

Lauren Ann

Definitely the scene when Bill and Sookie first go to Fangtasia and meet Eric and Pam. Love Eric and Pam as characters and Fangtasia as a setting. There’s lots of vampire stuff going on and also the first intro to the Bill/Sookie/Eric triangle even though it wasn’t at all established at that point.
