True Blood Season 3 Casting News: Looking For Caroline Compton

SpoilerTV is reporting a casting call for Caroline Compton for Episode 3 for season 3 of True Blood.  Caroline Compton was Bill Compton‘s wife during his human life and is described as a woman in her 20’s and she is to appear in a scene set in 1866.  The scene shows Caroline as a  lovely, very strong, brave, well-bred and well-spoken Southern woman and Caroline pulls a shotgun on the intruder into her house–clearly prepared to use it–till she realizes it’s her husband Bill (Stephen Moyer), whom she was sure had died in the War . THIS IS SAID TO BE A GREAT SCENE!  The actress is said to resemble the actress in the attached photo.

Now this scene alone sounds as if it is going to be extremely moving and I for one cannot wait to see it!

You have a very good point there and I have been wondering the same thing too regarding the scene between him and his human wife. Was it that he would watch them from afar? Did he one time try to see her and did get too close and she was disgusted by what he had become. It would definitely play into the storyline of him despising what he had been forced to become. Everything taken away from him and forced to be banished and hated. So sad. 🙁 I know that scene will be a definite tear-jerker for me and have me crying my eyes out.

Bill said he could never go back, he didnt say he didnt pop back to see them from a distence from time to time… and anyway, Remember what he said about Jessica ‘everyone she has ever known will recoil from her’ or something like that. Mabey he did pop back and got a bit to close and his wife was like ‘urgh you evil creature arghhhh blah blah vampire blah blah eek’ and thats why he says you can never go back.

Or something.

Yes, I am also a bit confused. He told Rene and Co. at the meeting that it would not be possible for him to go back to his family. Maybe something happened when he did go back to his family and that is why he said he could no long go back!

We will certainly find out next June!

While this is exciting news, I am a little confused. In Season One, Bill reports that he never went back home after becoming a vampire. So how could Caroline pull a gun on him. This will be very interesting indeed. Go True Blood.
