True Blood's Denis O'Hare (Russell Edgington)Denis O’Hare recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he may be returning to True Blood. This is very exciting news since he had such a great season with the show last June. Many of the most memorable moments from Season 3 were provided by O’Hare’s character, Russell Edgington, the vampire King of Mississippi.  Speaking of returning to True Blood, he shares:

“I left them on a high. They have been very, very nice to me, and they tell me that they think I’m going to come back… And I’m waiting. We’ll see what happens.”

While he was very close-lipped about what the story line would be surrounding his return, True Blood fans are never disappointed with Alan Ball‘s creative mind.  The only thing he did say about it is that it would be something believable, but that fans never would have put together.

Current Projects

O’Hare is keeping busy these days.  He is in the recently released film, The Eagle, which stars Channing Tatum. He will also start working this month with Leonardo DiCaprio in a Clint Eastwood movie, titled J. Edgar Hoover.

This True Blood fan would be very excited to see the King put a hurting on Bon Temps.  He always seems to steal the show with his crazy Southern antics!  Season four is just around the corner!

I agree Caitlin. Seasons 1, 2 and 3 took place pretty much consecutively, probably over 2 to 3 months since Arlene is 10 weeks pregnant, that’s what I’m basing my timeline on anyway. I would hope we do skip a couple of months into the future b/c like you said Arlene can’t be pregnant forever and it would make more sense if Sookie was gone for a while in faeland and then comes back to either her amnesia storyline or finding out Eric has amnesia and what transpired while she was gone. I’m hoping they go this route. I agree Eric should not be the rebound relationship. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out. I’d think by now HBO would be leaking out some more spoilers. It’s almost March and that means 3 months to go. Woo hoo!!!!

I was thinking the same thing but I figured AB wasn’t using the whole “special blood bond” in the show because Sookie had Billls blood at least three times. Maybe it is different for werewolves and also Sookie is part fae so it would effect her differently. I know the wolves will be going through withdrawl and in need of a fix. They probably have somekind of bond because they have had his blood so many times. Funny jaxx more like 100 days if that. Unless they skip ahead a few month which I hope happens. They need a time break in the show so Arlene doesn’t have to be pregnant for five seasons. That would get a annoying. If Sookie is going to hookup with Eric I don’t want it to be a week after she broke up with Bill. I really think Yvetta will be back. I heard a theory that maybe Bill sent Yvetta as a spy at Fangtasia and a distraction. Bill was a procurer. Thats just a theory I heard and its interesting. A spoiler said something about Bill trying to help a witch hm…..

Hi girls. I’m wondering since the wolves ingested so much of Russell’s blood, if there is some sort of “blood bond” with the wolves and Russell. The wolves could feel Russell’s emotions and probably find him and dig him out. Russell also does have magic of some sort surrounding him. Almost like black magic. He may have a witch or two on his side as well. Maybe Yvetta??? Interesting theories. Bill and Eric both had to surmise Russell would not be kept in that cement for long. They said 100 years but more like 100 days. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Honestly, I think it was dumb of Bill and Eric to bury Russell in cement. Russell even told them he would get out and come after them. Bill said, “not for 100 years” Still Bill and Eric knew he would get out. I like Loeafs magic theory. I do wonder it Russell has some hidden powers but wouldn’t he have already used them in season 3. It would seem odd if all of a sudden he had powers. I wonder if he can call his wolves. They do have a hightened sense of smell. I do not think it was smart of Bill to toss Eric in the cement either because Eric is one of Sookies strongest allies. I know you probably disagree Lizzie but that how I feel.

That would be an intersting twist if it was Alcide. I don’t think he would do that to Sookie though. You never know with TB.

Hi Lizzie,
I had the same problem with my name and jaxx to.
Just click on edit profile it is right next to your name (edit profile). Then click on Profile and just type in your name there and hit save. The site and jxx had to help me.It should work. I think our names are still in the system from before thats why it was not working. Hope that helps.

( accidently hit post) But There at the bottom in small print under log in it says something like haven’t an account yet.. click that then it will take you to a form where you choose your name and email address like the old format did when we would first log onto to post a comment here. You could get your old name back that way!!! Also add pics and other things like link other names to the DISQUS acct. Hope it works for ya!! If I figured it out I know you can do it with ease.. I hope your able to get your alter ego back! LOL!! Hugs to ya!!

Hey Lizzie BTW have you tried to subscribe to DISQUS yet? I went through it when I posted first time instead of logging into the others like ATT, facebook etc. The way I did it was the first time I posted I clicked where it said post as at bottom, then it took me to the DISQUS sign in page.. There at the bottem in small print it said

Hey Lizzie how’s it going? You may be right…but both Bill and Eric better watch their backs if he does return. They were both part of it so I’m sure they both will pay in some way if KRE does return…makes for very interesting speculating..does it not!!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

I don’t know – I think there was enough cement and Bill only used it after KRE was buried a lot. I think it was stupid for Eric to bury him – surely Eric will know that KRE can escape somehow – I mean, Eric escaped and he is nowhere as old and wise as KRE! Eric called his child and KRE could call his wolves, seeing Eric disposed of his child! LOL!

Or Alcide! Remember at Fangtasia KRE hears the door slam of a vehicle and he says “Ahh, my wolves are here to save me” or something like that! It was Alcide that came in!

Russell has to be back, I don’t think Alan would leave such a formidable character hanging like that! He really wasn’t covered in that much cement due to Bill pulling it off him to bury Eric under it. I also think that he could remove the chains due to the fact that he has some sort of Celtic type magic himself. His chanting probably will have something to do with it.
We only have 110 days 23 hours 45 mins to go!!! AAARRRGGG!!! LOL!

Still adjusting to the new format. It will be interesting to see how and when he comes back. Maybe it will be by the end of this season. I wonder if he will die the true death eventually. I don’t see Russell ever working with Eric again he crossed him to many times. Hell hath no fury like a vampire scorned. It seems as though he would have to you know he will be heading for Eric/Sookie/and Bill. Eric and Bill won’t have a choice but to work together. He will be week when he does get out so he will probably be in hiding for a while recovering. I really think that Talbot could come back I like him and hated to see him die but for Erics sake as part of me hopes he doesn’t come back. What a shocker that would be if Talot showed up.. Russell did say he wanted to bring him back like I said before he was insane with grief but I kind of believed Russell when he said it. I don’t think it was pure insanity. Every subtle think is in the show for a reason so he had to have a reason for saying it. I think his wolves might come and get him out because they will be going through withdrawl. Someone once mentioned that Debbie could be the one to do it.

I think he will be back. He’s just teasing us. There is no way Russell can be kept in that cement and that will be the end of him. I think a witch’s spell will have something to do with freeing Russell and maybe resurrecting Talbot??? We’ll just have to wait & see.
