Hi vamp addicts! I am new to this site but def not new to True Blood! I have watched the 3 seasons and workin on the books now. I have to say that I am totally engossed in this series. Season 1 & 2 were my fav by far..season 3 went a lil crazy and a lil 2 gory for me..but then again I love most anything that has vamp, warewolves, witches and sex all rolled into one. I love the character of Sookie, but I would b thrilled if she was given more powers. It seems like in every series (Twilight, Vampire Diaries, ect) the main character is a girl w/ very lil or no powers surrounded by all these supernatural beings with enormous power. Why cant they give her more than just some mind reading? lol, but all in all I am totally hooked!! I cannot wait to c what happens in S4! Threre is sooo much going on w/ so many characters, I dont c how it could b boring. Even tho I love the main characters, I am excited to c what will happen with Tara, Sam, Arlene (and the evil baby she is carrying, wow) Hoyt and Jessica..oh yea and most of all…:Lafiette! I dont have a clue where that one is headed. I think while i am waiting on season 4 I will start reading the books more. I have only read the1st one and it was really good too, so to cure my craving for some more TB until S4 comes on, I will read and watch the last few episodes of S3..and of course come and talk to the awesome ppl on this site. Ok, I am new and have a lot of opinions, ( i know, lol) so dont b too hard on me, lol. Plz feel free to comment or disagree for that matter. I love to hear other ppl’s opinions and views as well..until next time..or next season!!

A Season 4 Story Idea that will blow your mind completely?

….what does Bill “REALLY” want with Sookie? What really happened to Bill’s family? What if he gets a smack in the face from his secret agenda?…. wouldn’t want to SPOIL it if this is in any way correct so look away right NOW….

… if your curious then read on….

Recall…
The fairy warned Sookie not to let Bill “steal” her light and Vampires are “darkness” right? So, if the “light” can cancel out the darkness in a Vampire then what does that make a Vampire with no light? Answer: A Human.

This might explain why the Vampires have a limited ability to walk in the sunlight after taking Sookie’s blood and why Bill has recovered some of his humanity.

In other words, might Bill want Sookie’s light in order regain his humanity by becoming FULLY human again?

But, there’s more to it than that….

What is the one thing that Bill loves more or wants more than Sookie? Answer: His family. His original family ..you know… wife and two kids from the civil war.

What? WTF? But their dead right? Well, Bill “could” be re-united with them by visiting the “pool” in fairyland! WTF! I hear you say again? Remember the girl who came out of the pool and Sookie said “where did she come from”. Well, what if the pool allows the fairies (or anyone else for that matter) to travel in time? Bill has been to fairyland once already. He just needs to get into to the pool and return through time to find his family to be re-united and as a human after taking all of Sookie’s light. Is this Bill’s secret agenda?

Now what if Bill returns in time as a human but to find that they’ve been “turned”. He’s now a human and no way of getting back with a vampire family! Yikes!

So does Bill steal Sookie’s light (by killing Sookie) or does she give it to him, giving up her powers, and possibly her life, in the process? Choices choices choices.

Good, ok, terrible idea, or should they employ me as a writer! 🙂 ?I think it might be a fun twist if Bill’s family had been turned and is in some way included in Season 4. That’d be cool.

i am new to watching True Blood. i just watched the first 3 seasons over the last week and I am totally hooked. I can’t wait til season 4 starts. does anyone have any clues as to what is in store for season 4?
i really hope they give more time to Jessica and hoyt. baby vampires are awesome

Hey haven’t commented in a while but nobody has mentioned Arlene? She is proof that season 4 will skip ahead a little bit. Cause if you think about it season 1-3 have lasted about a month their time, so it will take a couple of years and seasons for Arlene to give birth to the devil child. They will probally skip ahead so that we can see what her ‘evil’ unborn child will add to the story, unless she miscarries or sucessfully abort it. But abortion didn’t work last time when Holly helped her. So I’m feeling she will carry it to full term and give birth.

Alcide ye…not the biggest fan of him….I want more love for Sam 😀 Was glad they brought his brother and as a bonus he’s a shifter too but after I while Tommy began to be annoying 😛 Last episodes of season 3 Sam finally kicked some ass 😀 Sam and Tara,Sam and some waitress but come on more love for Sam 😀 Just realized who’s my favourite character 😛

Yes, Charlaine has a contract to write a few more Sookie books, and there’s already so much detail in the books that I’m not sure Alan would be able to put all of it into True Blood. 🙂

As for me, I still love Anna in X-Men, and I hope to see Sookie and Alcide hook up, just so that I can at least fulfill my “Rogue/Wolverine” ‘shipping, LOL. Even though it’s not as perfect as the real Wolverine/Rogue, but still… I’ll take it. 😀

Thanks for the info Isis 🙂 Summer 🙁 so far…..:P well guess I’ll have time to read the books soon as I have them.Another surprise was Ana Paquin.After I’ve seen her in X-men and started with TB took me a while to notice “ohhh thats Rouge”.But again between xmen and TB are some years.True Blood hasnt only given us great entertainment but brought two wonderful people together.Dont know if you know it but I assume as die hard fans you gotta do 😛 Ana and Stephen are married.I’ve seen a video with charlaine harris and she mentioned that she’s going to continue writing True Blood but it wont make it to Tv.Hope I understood that wrong,at least the part where it isnt going to be on TV 😀

As for Season 4, it’ll start next summer in the United States, most likely in June.

Denis O’Hare has done a lot. If you can, see the movie The Proposal, which stars Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. Denis has a part in it as well, and he’s very funny in it! 😀

Hey again 🙂 ye I’ve seen third season and ofc russell was mind blowing.The best antagonist so far.”now time for the weather,Tiffany” 😀 I’m surprised that I never heared of Dennis O’Hare before…..that scene where he talks to the audience on the news was probably my favourite of season 3.I’m living in a small country with the name Bosnia.I’m not sure if you ever heared of it but orderding something online here is preety much impossible.I just have to look more online and think I’ll find it.You know when season 4 is going to start?

Not sure if you’ve watched season 3 yet, but it blows away season 2. The character Russell Edgington steals the show many times and at one point just left me with my mouth wide open. Keep watching and enjoy. What country are you from, if you don’t mind me asking? You can always buy the books at amazon.com if you really want to start reading them.

amg amg someone actually replied 😀 I sort of “discovered” True Blood while watching some award show on tv.TB kept winning and I got curious.Hook it up online and the reviews were outstanding.After I learned the show is a adaption of books and ofc I tried to find them online since I’m not able to buy them in my country.After few days I gave up the search and decided to start watching TB without reading it first.I needed couple episodes to get used to it and maybe around the fifth episode I couldn’t stop thinking about “what’s gonna happen next???” Second season was the best at least for me.Ofc one of the main reasons I say that is because Godric -RIP- I read a lot comments and mostly complains for killing off Godric but for me that was a perfect ending for such unusal and special vampire like him.They haven’t “drained” his character dry but instead made a unforgottable and one of the best moments in entire show.Forgive me my mistakes 🙂 English isn’t the language I use 24/7.Another reason why I like this show so much is beacause it has not that “happy ending” after each episode like most or every single show out there has.There’s always kinda a “cliffhanger”,reason to tune in next time. What can I say more…..I wanna do bad things with you -.-

Hi First thing I wanna say is that is there any guys here who watch the show? We all seem to be female and I wonder if the show appeals to guys also?

Next thing is I do think that something will happen between Sookie and Eric in the next season. If not due to amnesia plot, maybe she will get with Eric as she is lonely, or as a rebound. In the books she doesn’t seem to love Eric as he loves her, she just loves the sex. One example I can think of is when he comes to tell her as her husband about how America is didvided between vampires, and the names of the areas, she didn’t appreciate his confiding in her. All she had on her mind was sex.

I think in season 4 she wil get with Eric but it wont be long term, it will be more of a fling. Whether or not Eric or Sookie will be in the right frame of mind I can’t say. We had the kiss last season finale, which shows more will follow next season. Or who knows, I may be wrong and Sookie may find a faery boyfriend in Fae land.

There is always something happening between Eric and Sookie. How much fun would it be if AB just let us see them in all their glory without a little work to get to the end result. Neither Eric or Sookie are easily won over, and what fun is it when people just suck up to you to give in all the time? Consider it Foreplay and enjoy the end result. I almost bet my left arm you won’t be disappointed! I mean truly, This is True Blood and AB. How much more could a girl really ask for?

I’ve don’t read the books myself. I like the idea of Sookie start read Bill’s mind after he drinks so many blood of her, he becomes a Fae. All series are about the relation Bill/Sookie, why stop it?

Yes, I was referring to that beautifully shot shower scene. (Film major = I love the how it was shot and edited together.)

Russell freaking out was hysterical! I couldn’t help it; I laughed for about 15 mins after that!

And it’s not that you get in trouble, it’s more that our focus is True Blood and in the past we’ve had people do long rants about Twilight, etc. You can absolutely mention what you’re watching to fill the void. In my case, I’ve been drooling over Henry Fitzroy on Blood Ties. 🙂

…are you referring to the shower scene where it was after Bill and Sookie made up and she got in first, then Bill and he healed her bite marks and then the end of the scene blood was going down the drain? That was a pretty good scene.

The best scene I think was when Eric staked Talbot… I loved it… and then Russell freaked out… it is SO good this show.

I know we get into trouble mentioning other shows, but in the meantime I am watching Vampire Diaries, and at the start, I couldn’t get into it cause it was so tame/mild. Highschool blah blah blah. But it is good for NOT being True Blood. LOL

I think AB already did it (but between Bill and Sookie rather than Eric and Sookie), but even if he wanted to… shower scenes are hard to film, and I can see some of the difficulties in how that would be set up. It’d be hard to film and even harder to edit. JMHO as a film major.

To answer your thought, the reason that Russel was able to stay out in the sun longer without getting fried like an egg sooner is because he had drank some of Sookie’s blood. That’s part of the attraction for the Vamps not only is it intoxicating, they can go in the daylight for short periods of time so far. Otherwise, he would have been toast like Godric.

…just another thought too – when Godric died, he told Sookie that he wouldn’t last long out in the sun, because he was so old…2000 years… but when Eric brought the king out (for some reason I can not remember his name! shame on me!!) it took a long time for him to burn and he is older than Godric…
just something I thought of and wanted to point out…

And I have to agree with the comment that the books are one story and the show is another. Again, they have to make the show last longer than the books, and keep us interested…

With that said, due to what I have read here, I guess there is a shower scene in the book that is really sexy, and everyone wants Allan Ball to put it into the 4th season… I hope they do… it sounds like it is a good scene… LOL!

Nobody forgot they are vamps, I assure you. Without a doubt there is a symbiotic relationship, but in some cases, they are more than just a food source. I gaurantee it. I can’t wait for S4!

I think you need to treat the show and the books as 2 totally different and great things. There are similarities between the books and the show, but the show takes everything in new and different directions. In my opinion, they are 2 great storylines in one. I get to put a face to my characters (and drool in Eric’s case) and see what AB’s terrific mind can make of each of them and the storylines.

Amen! I hope we get to see some Eric/Sookie moments. Yes..Eric used Sookie but so has Bill. I still believe there is something more to Bill than meets the eye… He mimiced Eric’s voice perfectly to put the hit out on Pam. Even Russell spoke of how surprised he was that Bill controlled his feeding urges when it came to Sookie’s blood. Can’t wait to see where this info leads us!! Want to see more of Sookie kicking but and standing up to people. Oh and more Eric and Sookie banter.. her and Pam are the only two women he allows to do that.. More please!! Lol I want to reread book 4, but it makes me want to pull out my hair to know that my fav parts my or may not be played out. So much for our infamous shower scene w/ Eric, and I don’t think that they will put in “gracious plenty” either! But Eric may take the bullet for Sookie as stated in book.. Because Eric did say to Sookie in graveyard about sucking out the bullet, “maybe next time you shoot me”! (kitchen scene w/Debbie).. Book readers know what I’m refering to.

I agree, I think Eric and Sookie will have their turn this year as well as Alcide and Sookie. Oh the choices, the choices this girl has. This is what will keep this series fun and fresh. It will be interesting to see if Sookie can forgive Bill and if they do get back together at some point. We also have Quinn to meet which I guess should be introduced at the end of Season 4, if we move on to Season 5. Bill will always be part of Sookie’s life in some way, shape or form. We will just have to wait and see how this one plays out. Can’t wait.

I’m not too keen on Bill and Sookie getting back together, only cause Sookie was pretty mad, and for the sake of argument, I really think she is gonna explore Eric and Alcide possibly for a second. But I still think that Eric may come out the man of the hour overall.

Okay, so this is my understanding,
Bill worked for the Queen. Sookie’s cousin hooked up with the Queen and told the Queen about Sookies gifts. The Queen clued in to this and thought that Sookie may be a Fae, which vampires love to drink and the whole walking in the sun thing. So she sent Bill in to get Sookie. Cause that is what he did for her. So Bill went to Bon Temps to procure Sookie, but when he met her, he felt something. Which I think has something to do with the fact that she is part Fae, vampires are drawn to them I think (but it could just have been that he was curious as to why the Queen wanted her). So Bill got to know her, and fell in love with her, and then was always protecting her. He didn’t share with her that he was sent to Bon Temps to get her for the Queen…but I think he felt ashamed of it after he fell in love with her. And he didn’t tell the Queen he found Sookie.
Bill tried to keep Sookie away from Eric, I think because once Bill knew Sookie and tasted her blood, he knew she was special. And Eric knew Bill was in his juristiction doing a job for the Queen. Eric worked for the Queen too, and since he is the sheriff he probably knew Bill was in his area for the Queen, even tho Bill never admitted that to Eric, always saying he is going main-stream in his home town. But how else would Eric know Bill was sent to Bon Temps by the Queen. He didn’t know it was because Sookie was Fae – but then again maybe Eric did know because he confronted Bill in Season 3 about telling Sookie the truth – and Bill said he did, that he told Sookie what she is…
Eric did fall in love with Sookie – and that was shown a few times. When he had a day dream about her (it was usually her about him, because she had his blood), when he kissed her because he thought he was going to die, when he told Pam he wouldn’t use her, and when he touched her face before feeding from her to kill Russell.
I think that they will do an Eric and Sookie thing, because they were putting the idea in here and there in the seasons… but I think they will keep Bill in too. I understand by these posts that the show isn’t following the storylines in the books (I have not read them) – but I suspect that is because they are making a series rather than movies so have to expand and change this and that so the story can go on longer than the books and keep us interested… reading we use our own imagination, with TV or film they have to create it for us. So, they have to keep things exciting for us.
I think that they may put Sookie and Bill back together for a bit…I am thinking that Bill’s fight with the Queen will hurt him pretty bad and Sookie will go to him…but this is just a big guess. They have to keep Bill there so we can love or hate him, and want them together or want Eric and Sookie together, but for us to keep guessing. That is the fun part!!
Alcide and Sookie may have something too… that would be cool…
OH, and I want to mention this too! The other Fae we met in Texas, the hotel worker guy – Bill took him out of the room after he knocked out his maker Lorena…and when Sookie and him were out for dinner (when he proposed) she mentioned the other Fae and said she didn’t even know where he was – and Bill reacted a bit – so I think he does know where that other Fae is!! But didn’t tell her… she may find that out and that will get her even more angry with Bill…

Sarah, you’re 100% right on nightingale syndrome. 🙂

However, based on AB’s comments at Comic-Con (which I heard in person), I’m not sure how the Eric/Sookie relationship will take place. I’m also not convinced that Eric will be the one who gets amnesia. In my personal opinion, I feel it could be done much more strongly if someone like Sookie or Bill ended up with amnesia instead. If it’s Sookie, we could blame it on her going to “faerie world” or whatever it is, which could create some excellent new story lines about Sookie slowly remembering everything that’s happened to her, and her new perceptions of the events that have taken place to date.

If the amnesia happens to Bill, then he could possibly get it as a result of his “fight to the death” with Queen Sophie-Anne. IMHO, either of those scenarios makes more sense than Eric randomly getting amnesia on True Blood, based on where the show left off.

As for Eric/Sookie, I have no doubt it’ll happen, but I think this may be the season where Sookie flits from man to man and could possibly test the waters with both Eric and Alcide. It all just depends on where Alan and the writers want to take the Bon Temps crew. 🙂

Hey Isis, I totally agree with you. By Eric doing that he will have most likely ruined his chances of being with her if this was real life. In the books, Sookie grows fond of Eric in book 4 as she has to look after him when he gets amnesia. I believe this is called nightingale syndrome. When you fall in love with someone you are looking after. I believe this could happen in the show. Then later on in the book series, Eric and Sookie properly get together, when Eric is in his right mind. That is due to the fact that Eric and Sookie exchanged blood 3 times, and therefore have a blood bond. Due to their bond Sookie feels happy around Eric, and looks forward to seeing him. She isn’t sure if she loves Eric or if it’s the bond. Alan Ball could also go down that route early in the show. Anyways all I know for sure is that so far in the books Sookies love for Eric isnt real. Who knows Erics love for her may be though. I am curious to see how Alan will get them together, cause its inevitable.

True Ashley, but by the same token, you forget that Eric did something that I just cannot forgive, regardless of his relationship status with Sookie. He CHAINED her up in his dungeon! That alone would prevent me from ever seeing him as a true suitor to Sookie, because a man/vampire who respects women would NOT do that.

I agree that Sookie has know who Eric was from the start. But Eric has taken an interest in her also. In season 1 episode 4, when Sookie and Bill where in Fangtasia, Eric didnt know about her powers, so he couldn’t use her for his own gains, and it’s not like Sookie is extremely pretty, so there was something else about Sookie that caught Erics eye. I think Eric also loves Sookie, maybe more than Bill, but doesn’t want to admit it. All the time while Sookie was Bills, he didn’t try to seduce her or even kiss her. He protected her, even though he didn’t have to. In season 2 episode 8 I think, he was willing to sacrifice himself for Sookie. Yes in season 3 he did betray her, but he was doing it to kill Russell as he had a vendetta against him. But Russell had an interest in Sookie and wanted her for his own gains, so by Eric killing Russell, he was also protecting Sookie. And he did make Bill fess up at the end of season 3. Yes it may give Eric a chance with Sookie, but also he wanted her to know the truth, because he loves he, and believes she deserves it. So I think Eric is the better vamp.

Yes, both men have lied and manipulated. Like jaxx said, Eric will fess up right away or when confronted. Eric doesn’t really try to hide his bad side from Sookie. Eric is no saint either. I did not like that he brought Lorena to town.In some ways, Eric is brutely honest. Eric told Sookie that he wasn’t loyal to Bill On the other hand, Sookie has to interigate and pry the truth out of Bill. Even when Sookie confronts Bill, he still tries to lie his way out of it. Once, she asked him if he was keeping anything else from her and he said no. Sookie has had several conversation with him about his lying. He always follows it up by saying that he loves her and only wants to protect her. Part of that might be true but he was also lying to cover his butt. He didn’t just throw Eric into the cement to protect Sookie. Bill didn’t like Eric or Sookies growing attraction towards him.

I agree with both of you. There’s a lot of Eric bashing lately because he used Sookie. To me, Bill did much worse, he seduced Sookie into loving him with ulterior motives. Yes he did fall in love with her, but that love started under false pretenses. As far as I can remember, when Eric does lie to Sookie, he tells fesses up almost immediately. Eric is loyal and will be loyal to Sookie when he knows you are loyal to him. All vampires use all humans to some extent, that’s the way it is. I think we will see an even greater, more loyal side to Eric as far as Sookie is concerned in S4.

I hate to state the obvious, but they are vamps, and it is in their nature to do what they do. Yes, Bill being the one in the relationship with Sookie at the moment did commit the ultimate betrayal, especially when you look at the fact that Bill twisted her heart strings, asked her to marry him, and tried to come out the hero. Then things ended with Bill trying to cover his tracks and dispose of the people or vamps that could expose him. But looking at it overall, everybody has tried to get a piece of Sookie for their own ends. Some more blatantly than others, but it’s been at the top of every body’s Christmas list to get Sookie as the ultimate prize for something. (must be rough!) Did Bill truly love her, maybe, we’ll have to wait to see where AB takes us. If you remember, Bill told Sookie that if anything ever happened to him to go to Eric, he would take care of her. This may open the door for Eric this season, the question will be, because of the connection they are forming or admitting slowly is there, Will Eric be smart enough to hold on to Sookie for his own gains, or possibly for the bigger and best reason (IMO) But ultimately, I think Eric earns points for not lying to Sookie, he didn’t always have full disclosure, used her as bait, and put her in somewhat dangerous situations, but he did always have someone close by,and in truth, Sookie was and is always clear about who Eric is first, Vampire, Sheriff , Pain in the Butt, looking out for his personal interests. That has always been clear. Bill was deceptive. But ultimately was Sookie’s first real love interest. What will happen next? Only S4 will know. Yes, Sookie was betrayed by Bill, Used by Eric, but also helped by him too, nobody said Bill and Eric won’t be held accounable for their part in the whole thing, but in my opinion what Bill did was worse.

Why does everyone always use the “he’s a vampire, its in his nature” defense to excuse Bill? Eric’s a vampire too, therefore everything he’s done should be okay to, and not while in a relationship with Sookie.
Bill lied to the woman he was supposed to love many, many times. He manipulated her into falling in love with him by setting up the hero image with the rattrays rescue and making sure she got his blood. That is the true betrayal, not the vampire stuff he did. Lying and manipulation is NOT a vampire thing, that’s something humans do all the time. Vampires are all killers, but it’s the lying and manipulation that was the big crime against Sookie. This was done both to seduce Sookie and while in the relationship. Eric hasn’t been in a relationship with Sookie yet. Bill has to be held to the standards of someone who was in a relationship and supposed to be in love with Sookie. The bullet sucking thing Eric did, well he admitted it right afterwards and didn’t try to act like it was anything different or make excuses. Bill set up the rattrays thing specifically so Sookie would see him as her hero and not suspect that he was trying to get blood into her, and a lot of blood at that.

Hi again Crystal,

It’s torture having to wait so long in between seasons. I wish they could have more episodes. Maybe they will have more minisodes like last season. I also watch the Vampire Diaries and it was just off a couple weeks then came back on for two weeks now its off again. I think it comes back on January 27th. I really like this season of Vamp Diaries lots of surprises in that show. I read the books and the shows so much better and very different from the books. I guess you will just have to watch Christmas movies till it comes back. Lol. Oh if you have HBO there is supposed to be a True Blood marathon on I think starting December 26th three episodes of this season a night.

I think Season 4 is supposed to start June 5th because it said that episode two “You Smell Like Dinner” comes on June 12th. They started filming this season earlier than last. Most likely, the beginning of June it will start. The date could always change though but every season except the first one started in June. Hope that helps.

Yes I would love to see more of Hunter in the show. In the book’s he was hardly mentioned. And of course his mother Hadley died the final death, which she hasn’t in the show so far. I hope he has a story line in the next season. I would love to know what direction Alan will go in this.

I would totally love a wedding in True Blood. Imagine seeing Jessica and Hoyt get married. That would be a sight. I wonder what Hoyts mam plans on doing though. I really want to know also if Sam killed Tommy. I hope not. I liked him, and if Hoyt and Jessica don’t work out I would like to see her with Tommy. Anything could happen as these characters (Jessica and Tommy) aren’t even in the book’s. I would only like the amnesia plot if at the end of the series Eric regains his memory. It would drive me mad to wait a few seasons(and a few years) for him to remember what went on.

To answer the Pam/Eric question. Yes, Pam tells her story to Sookie in one of the books. I don’t remember what book though. It will be different in the show. In the show Pam sought out Eric in the book he came upon Pam. Also, Pam was a teenager when she was turned in the book. It was a really nice story. It gave Sookie/Pam a chance to bond. I don’t want to ruin it if your planning to read the books.

I was told to watch Vampire Diaries while I waited for True Blood season 4. I have only watched one episode so far, but it looks interesting.
Also I heard that Lost Girl was good.
As for the Harry Potter movie just released. LOVED IT! It is fantastic. And of course there is a lot more detail in the books, there always are, but I think they did a wonderful job getting the main story line across. My heart always breaks for Harry and all he has to lose.
Back to T B. The Pam/Eric story would be great. How did he find her and why did he make her. Is any of that in the books? I plan on reading them soon.
I still like Bill and Sookie together, all thru the seasons he has protected her and I think it was sincere. I know he didn’t always do a good job at it, and kept things from her, but he IS a vampire after all, they are not known for their kindness. LOL.

Yes, I really want to find out more of Eric’s past next season. The amnesia storyline would be perfect for reminiscing on time long past. It would be nice to see more of his parents. Maybe Pam reminds him of his mmother. It would be cute to see him as a little boy playing by the shore. Normally, happy flashbacks aren’t shown. Like I said before, I would like to see a Pam/Eric flashback.

I remember AB alluded to Gran coming back to the show at some point but not in a flashback. I think your onto something. Yes, Gran might show up in faeland. It would be wonderful to see her again and for her to give Sookie some much needed guidence and support. I can’t wait! I want Calvin to be alive so can take back his wacky clan. Maybe Calvins character can gain some redemption. As we have seen last season, there are two sides to every character.

Hi Caitlin/Antonio, I’m guessing Calvin isn’t dead. He did ingest vamp blood which saved him the first time. Don’t know the time frame but I’m guessing it couldn’t be more than a couple of days after he ingested the blood. I’m wondering if there is still enough in him to save him again. Calvin’s character was essential in the books to helping Sookie (even though Calvin is portrayed much different than in the books in TB). I think Calvin will live on. I still think Jason will be kidnapped by Felton and/or Calvin once Calvin finds out Jason is in charge of his group. Should be interesting and make Jason a more interesting character in TB.

I will also be happy to see Gran in flashbacks. I think we will see her b/c Sookie went to her grave to talk to her in the last episode. Maybe she’ll see Gran in faeland??? We know how this is all connected in the books. It will be interesting to see how this is all connected in TB. I hope we go somewhat down the same path b/c we’ll see more Gran in flashbacks then. I also hope we get to meet Niall in S4. I imagine we will since she is going to faeland. Niall has to be there to greet her and tell her about her family history. Can’t wait to see who will play Niall. A David Bowie type would be great if not David Bowie himself. You never know.

I also am a fan of Twilight. It was my first love, but then TB came along. LOL. I will always have a special place in my heart for the Twilight books though.

I didn’t like how Calvin and HotShot in general was depicted in the show. I wonder if Calvin is really dead though? Jason can’t watch over HotShot forever. That would become boring and he can hardly take care of himself. I like the Jason were storyline in the books because it felt like he became a little closer to Sookie. Also, he became more involved in the supe world and Sookie could share more information with him. I hope we get to see some flashbacks of Gran. AB mentioned that she might show up again a some point. I wonder what Gran would think about Eric? Would she have liked him?

I hope this season isn’t as jammed packed with characters. I think it will be. Hopefully, the main characters are together. There is a lot each character needs to be filled in on.

In the books,Bill is found out to be not so nice. The show took a bit of a different turn with Bill. Mr. Ball is going his Own way with these characters and I think he does a Very good job!
The 1st season was just So Good! Even though there was a lot of violence,sex and language…the show Still had a warm “family-type” feel to it..i guess because Sookie’s Gran,Adele was So warm and kind! Anyway,I know what you mean,Bill was like a troubled vampire with a kind heart…Now a darker side has been revealed. As for Sookie’s chances for romance? I hope that Sookie and Eric get together..at least for a While! As for Sookie and Alcide? Who Knows? Perhaps AB will allow for them to get closer too. There was a lot of banter between Sooks and Alcide in book 4.

Hey Jaxx! You are right! Calvin Norris was a respectable and kind man in the books! Colonel Flood was also a nicer,respectable man in the books. Crystal and the Hotshot community are different in the books,too. Now, that I have begun reading the books…started with book 4 and am now on book 5,I can see that the books Are different than the show. I suppose that more things will be left out. It would be nice to see characters like Charles Twining,A vampire who is courteous and yet strong. In Dead to the World,There is a confrontation between Sam & Bill..When Bill walks in on Sookie & Sam in Sam’s office..I thought of the confrontation between these 2 guys near the end of S1..Was That from This book?
I would agree that Sometimes books do Not translate well to screen.
Anyway,I hope that AB at least will follow some of the book for Season 4! The amneisac Eric Storyline was 1 of my Favorites!
and the Developing “friendship” between Sookie and Alcide.
and Jason as a Were-panther…I hope Some of This stuff makes it into the show?

Antonio, that’s exactly why I don’t think they are in the true fae world yet, more like in between worlds. In the books at least, there is a portal between worlds, you are either in one world or the other. It seems in TB, AB is using an in between spot because when they had to flee quickly to return to the true fae world, they all had to jump in the pond which is the portal. I don’t think Bill or any other vampire would have been allowed in the true fae world. Where Bill and Sookie were is somewhere other than the fae world.

I wonder if while in charge of the werepanthers, Jason will be abducted by Felton, especially if he is already jealous of his and Crystal’s relationship and now he is in charge of the werepanther community. Just speculation but he has to be kidnapped and turned to make his storyline start to mix in with everyone elses, especially Sookie’s for the future. I really don’t like how AB is portraying Calvin Norris. He was a respectable man in the books.

I know this may be taboo, so I will keep it short. Some of the things AB has done are to add to the story line as he see’s fit, thus keeping us book junkies interested too, as I have said before anybody starts to get upset, I watched the first epi and learned about the books and became hooked on both, but they are both awesome in my opinion, I get to have visuals to go along with what I already have read and see where it takes off from there. But some of what you think is not in the books actually is, I won’t say what, but you should re- read the books.

Hello..Welcome! I Like your screenname…Dead To the World is 1 of my Favorite Books! Its just SO Good! Yes Bill Is Gone for Most of it…But there is Plenty to keep Sooks occupied in the meantime! The Amnesiac Eric Storyline is just SO much Fun!!
its Strange and yet Touching as well! As Many whove read This book can tell You, Eric is a better “Man” when he is cursed and loses his memory! Hes Much MORE Caring,Compassionate,Kind and Intensely passionate..Ladies You KNOW What I’m talking about! LOL
There is Also a developing “relationship” with Alcide. Alcide and Sookie Really Like each other…in fact at 1 point in the book,She “daydreams” about how Nice it would be if she Were His GF. For Some reason she develops a deep emotional bond with Eric and finds Alcide hard to resist! Thats a LOT goin On!!
Bill Does come back at the end of book 4 and he IS in Book 5
But he seems aloof and distant..except for a twinge of jealousy
when Sookie is asked to put up a vampire named Charles
The books Are Wonderful! The show is good too.

Good Point! They may have just “touched upon” the Fae world. However I do not think they were in a “limbo” but maybe experienced a glimpse of the Faeland. Bill BTW DID come up through a “doorway” into Faeland! I Still dont know whaat That signifies! It seems that AB has made the Fae to be More mysterious, Extra-terrestrial like…from a distant realm.
In the books…Claudine is more like a guardian…a bodyguard who can kick butt for Sook. I hope that key parts of books 4 and 5 are Not thrown out just to give more time to Sookies “abduction”! BTW in Book 4 its Jason who is abducted…NOT Sookie!

Perhaps Im a bit biased here.. Now that i have begun reading the books..particularly #4 And 5, It should be Quite interesting to see How AB will write these storylines out. Laffy and his witch bf? Hoyt and Jessica? Sam and Tommy? Sookie abducted by Fae?
None of these are addressed in the books. So it will be something to see Where the writers go with this! Its Funny How Jason is placed in charge of the werepanther group instead of being abducted and becoming one of them~~~that was from book 5 I believe.

After twilight and the emo vamps with Paris Hilton skin, i was very afraid that this was the new vampire..So I did not expect anything from true blood.

But after seeing 3 eps of season 1,
I just went to the store to get the rest watched them in a record time of 1 week totally great series, but the end of season 3 was so open I could not beleave a great serie would end that way.

so very happy to see season 4 is coming 🙂

I realize that everyone says Bill betrayed Sookie, but really he did protect her thru-out the 3 seasons. Yes he was sent there to get her for the Queen, but he didn’t. He protected her from everything, as best as he could. He even broke up with her to protect her from Russell – dedicating himself to the King so he would keep looking for Sookie. It all backfired when he went to her to warn her to leave. Even tho he didn’t tell her why he returned to Bon Temps, or that he let her get beaten up so she would drink his blood – he is infact a vampire after all. It is in their nature. Considering that he is a vampire, I think he did quite good at loving her and protecting her. To me it seems Eric is more facinated with her abilities, because it doesn’t seem they have been together enough to fall in love yet.
Just my opinion. I LOVE this show – I didn’t get into it till all 3 seasons were done! I had to rent them all.

Also, time in faeland could be different than time in the human world. She could be gone a year in fae time and a few months human time. Who knows? Hopefully, Sookie if gone for a little while to give a calm before the storm. I think AB ended last season like that so that their could be a time lapse. The episode could begin with that night and skip ahead.

I agree with Isis as well. That would actually make perfect sense to have Sookie get Amnesia and give her time to recoup while getting to know the side of her life that she has only had bits and pieces until now, She could fill in the blanks while regaining her memory. Kinda like a 2 for 1 special True Blood style! I for one will be waiting to see what happens, cause you already know that once AB puts his spin on it, we all may be completely left with our jaws hittin the floor! I have said it before, I will say it again,. Bring on S4. Yay True Blood.

Yes, it will be fun seeing everyone frantically looking for Sookie. I personally hope she is gone for a while and learns more about herself, who she is and finds herself there. I also hope she is taught how to use her powers to protect herself so she doesn’t have to rely on a were or a vamp to protect her. She needs to be able to do all of this before letting another man into her head and heart again.

This is True Blood, not the books. Alan Ball may change the story however he likes, and there’s no definitive evidence as of yet that Eric will be the one with amnesia.

Hi Isis thanks for pointing that out. I forgot. I wouldn’t mind if Sookie gets amnesia in season 4. The first book I read was book 4 and read the series through the end but I still havent read the first 3 so I don’t know how different the first 3 seasons were from the books. If Sookie does indeed get amnesia in season 4 it could go either way. Both Bill and Eric will try to win her, and she wont remeber Bill’s betrayal. To keep the fans happy, she would have to choose Eric, and that way they could still be together without Eric getting the amnesia, and eventually Sookie will remeber Bill’s betrayal. But then where do the witches fit in? It would have to be Eric due to that fact. Eric gets amnesia because of the witches. Soom are suggesting Sookie might get it due to going to the fae world. Also will Sookie meet Niall her great, great grandfather?

Eric is the one who gets amnesia…if you read the books the whole fourth book is about Eric….and it starts out with Sookie finding him running on the side of the road naked and no clue who he is….

Hi DTTW2010 I don’t think Sookie will get amnesia in season 4. If you recall in season 3 both she and Bill visit the Fae world and neither got amnesia. I think she will be gone for a couple of months, and find that life will have moved on. Can’t wait till July for season 4. Or maybe Sookie will become less human and more fae, and we may see her powers have gotten stronger, the thing she does with her hand. She doesn’t do this thing with her hand in the books.

Sadly, whether Sookie and Eric end up together at the end of the book series or not; they will not be together forever. She does not want to become a vampire. Eventually, Eric will lose her. They will be seperated by death. Maybe that is what Ocella meant that Sookie will not keep Eric because she cannot if she stays human. Ocella could sense her emotions. I hate to say this but maybe it would be better if they do not stay together. It’s only going to get harder. Eric will stay young and she will age. Possibly over time, she would regret staying mortal if she ended up with Eric. Poor Eric would become even more attached to Sookie and have to watch her slip away. However, that is a fact of life. Even Eric is not really immortal. Someday he could die. Really, even the oldest of vampires could die eventually. I think Eric will always be a part of her life though. We will have to wait and see after the blood bond is broken. Maybe a break up will lead Sookie to see that she does love Eric.

We’re really not supposed to talked about the books with regards to the show. Sometimes we can’t help it though. I always put Spoiler above to warn people.

I see your point because a lot of people think that Sam and Sookie could end up together. Probably, it will happen in the books. However, I think Sookie and Sam would be settling if they ended up together. That is just my opinion though. Sookie thinks Sam is good looking but really I don’t think there is a strong romantic connection maybe on Sam’s part but not Sookie’s. Plus, Sam is always treated as not even second best. Also, it would be kind of predictable if Sam/Sookie ended up together because a lot of us think they will. Why not switch it up a bit? I believe Eric truly loves Sookie. I hope Sookie loves him but even I’m not completely sure after that last book. Personally, I would be upset because CH invested so much time in building their relationship only to have it go know where. I can see Eric and Sookie breaking up and I think that will happen. Maybe they will get back together or maybe not. CH did say that Sookie will not have that “white picket fence” life. This leads me to think that she might not choose Sam or anyone. Really, I do not think Sookie will have children. It would be to dangerous because she is always getting injured and the child will be in danger. Who knows maybe Sookie will end up with Remy. I still hold out hope for Eric/Sookie even though it’s probably to good to be true but maybe I will be pleasently surprised.

Hi Sarah, we’re really not supposed to talk books too much here, but I think Eric really is in love with Sookie in the books but Sookie is a little too indifferent towards Eric. She says she loves him but is she “in love” with him. When the blood bond is broken, the truth will come out and then we will see once and for all if it is just the bond or a real love between them.

Yes, Godric took Appius’s place in the series. AB tweeked the story a little, imo. 🙂

He has been in love with her for years. I think Eric wanted a challenge. Hence Sookie is like his prize which he will soon get bored of. I don’t think what Eric and Sookie have is real. Or if Sookie breaks it of with Eric which I think she will Eric may go after Sam. I can’t wait till the next book. P.s Is Apius Livius Ocella meant to be Godric from the show? P.p.s I also like Sookie and Bill I feel really sorry for him and everyone is being to hard on him.

Hi Sarah. I sadly say I have to agree with you and we are talking books here. I’ve felt for a while that Eric and Sookie will not end up together and she will end up with Sam. I hate saying that being an Eric lover but you can almost see the handwriting on the wall with CH and where the story seems to be heading. Although, we have 3 to 4 more books to go. They could break up and get back together but I’m leaning more your way. Sookie would have to be turned at the end which CH says she wasn’t going to do at least as of this last book and press conferences. Sam’s no Eric, butI would be ok with Sam though, jimo.

Hi everyone just want to say I don’t think sookie and eric will stay together. At the end of dead in the family when sookie wants to kill apius livius ocella he says you wont stay with him (meaning eric). I am thinking maybe in the next book or two they break up. I was a fan of sookie and eric but after reading the books i think sookie and sam were meant for each other. I am thinking that sookie will go to the wedding with sam. The bond will be weak cause of the distance and she will fall for sam and realise what she has with eric is the bond. My opinion though.

Caitlin, I also agree with you on Alcide in book 10. I loved him up until then. He used Sookie and turned into what he despised the most. I so hope CH turns Alcide to the loveable guy for the remainder of the series. 🙂

I have some issues with book Alcide after the cage fighting situation bbut I really liked him before that. I don’t think he stood up for Sookie enough though like with his father. Also, if you’ve read the lates book, he was a jerk to Sookie when he made her drink that stuff.

I think a lot of us hope that the show skips ahead a couple months. AB mentioned in a short TV guide article that he couldn’t say how long Sookie would be gone. I agree with you that Sookie should be alone for a little while or the amnesia storyline should happen a couple episodes into it. That would be tacky if Sookie hooked up with Eric a couple days after breaking up with Bill.

A lot of times when Sookie would complain about Eric it was that he was to invovled with work. She felt like he didn’t spend enough time with her. Yes, amnrsia Eric was simpler. I think she said Eric without the politics.

i completely agree with you! quinn seemed like a decent guy, but to me he also seemed kinda pervy (remember at the Were election when he licked sookie’s leg?). In my opinion, sookie should give either eric or alcide a chance.

I agree with jaxx -in book 4 Amnesiac Eric was still Eric but without all the vampire politics, the burden of being 1000 yo and responsible for the well-being of all vampires in his area. It was Eric-on-vacation as I like to call him. Throughout the book you see elements of pre-Amnesiac Eric, which means his personality hasn’t changed; the conditions have.

As for Sookie, I agree that to a degree it’s easy to fall in love with someone you take care of, so Nightingale Syndrome fits -up to a degree. Lets not forget that, unlike in the show, Sookie had a friendship with Eric before the Amnesia and we all know she was *very* attracted to him. The way she described him in previous books, show a person that was part smitten and part wary of him. With “wary” being the bigger part. The were always playfu and flirtatious with each other and Sookie’s distance was due to 1) her being with Bill -Sookie would never cheat- and 2) her -reasonable- fear of getting involved with a survivalist, 1000yo vampire deep in vampire politics.

With all the complications of “Sheriff-Eric” gone, I think Sookie found the opportunity to be with Eric as she always wished he could be.

The fact that Sookie/Eric’s relationship prior to the amnesia is different in the books than in the show though leaves me wondering how they’re going to pull it off. Even if they do give Eric amnesia, how can their relationship evolve from where it is now?

Personally I hope that they a) give a gap between S3 & S4, with Sookie eing gone in Faery for a few months at least so she has the time to clear her head and think and b) that the amnesia incident will happen after a couple of episodes so there is a chance for some more interaction between Sookie and Eric before that.

If there is no time-gap between the seasons, as much as I love Eric, I’d want to see Sookie alone. Not even with Alcide. Give the girl some time to think and discover who she is instead of running from man to man!
Anything else whould be to rushed and would look fake. Her relationship with Eric is more than a fling and I’d hate to see it portrayed as one.

I also don’t think Eric will remember anyone except for his parents and time as a Viking. Your right it will be interesting. Who knows maybe Eric won’t be the one to have amnesia. I think he will though. I was also wondering where Eric would stay. As we know in the books Sookie has the “hidy-hole” but in the show there is no mention of one. Maybe Eric will stay with Bill that would be to funny.

I’m excited to see Russell’s return. This time he really has a reason for revenge. I wonder how that will end? Will Russell finally be killed. Denis is brilliant especially in the finale. If Russell was so bend on power and Eric didn’t hold a gurdge (that was understandable though) they could have been decent allies.

The “Two Blondes” was really good. I will have to read Dead in the Family again. I didn’t think the book was to bad. It seemed like more of a filler. I think it was a let down though because of all the anticipation. It did seem a little choppy to me like with the Bill stuff.

That would be hilarious if AB added the pink lycra spandex into the show. I agree, I think that demons will be added into the show next season. Jesus said he was a witch but maybe he could still be a demon. I’m still don’t know if Jesus is a nice guy or “Satan in a Sunday hat”. The weretiger is a possibility. I think either Quinn will show up at the end of the fourth season or sometime in the fifth season. Personally, I was never a big fan of Quinn with Sookie. Sometimes I didn’t like that way he talked to her. Like when he would call her “Babe”. That got on my nerves. Also, at times it seemed as though he spoke to her like some perve in a bar would. Thats just my opinion though. Quinn was a nice guy though and I did feel terrible for his situation. However, I always thought she went out with Quinn to get over Eric and because Eric wasn’t giving her attention she wanted. Quinn was the rebound guy in my view.

I must say I Liked the amnesiac Eric storyline A Lot…because we get to see a totally different side to Him! He was kind,warm, sweet charming and Very passionate..IE the “shower scene” and the Steamy Night with Eric…Wow!
I also Liked Sookie and Alcide’s “burgeoning” friendship!
Alcide Really likes her A lot…and There is a part in the book where she thinks about what it would be like to be his GF!
The playful banter between Sooks and Alcide made me laugh!
It wasnt So Much that she was “nursing Eric back to Health” as she was Protecting his whereabouts from those who would harm him…namely the witches who wanted to take over Shreveport
and the 1 who wanted Eric
I liked that storyline…a Lot
The book is Really good too it will be interesting to see Where AB goes with this,Huh?
June 2011? Maybe Joe will be married by then?
and Anna will be with a little Moyer in the oven??

I remember one video in which Alan Ball stated that he envisioned the season 4 witches as “necromancers”. Wikipedia states that necromancers are witches that summon the dead – like in seances, etc. I thought that he inferred that because vampires are dead, the witches have an extra level of control over them that they don’t have over humans. ..I can’t find the video anywhere, but thought it was interesting!

It will be interesting to see how they actually do the amnesia storyline. I wonder also who Eric will remember, my guess is that it will be no one. I wonder where he will stay?? What storyline will they give Bill. In the books, Bill was in Peru. Still wondering about Bill and any connection with the AVL or Authority. I can’t wait for Russell to resurface too. I just love that guy! LOL.

In the books, I’m starting to think you’re right. E/S might stay together or be together at the very end, but it will be a bumpy ride for the next 3 or 4 books. We’ll see. Sam is still also a possibility.

Hi Caitlin, I just read “Two Blondes” also and really enjoyed it. For a short story, it had a lot packed in it. I am so anticipating Book 11. I so want that blood bond to be broken and then find out once and for all if their love is real or just the bond. A lot of my friends said that they have re-read book 10 and after re-reading it, enjoyed it more the second time. I will give that a try in the next couple of weeks and see if I like Dead in the Family more than I did after the first read. 🙂

Hey yall!! *waves* I just wanted to say that I really like oliver platt as mr.catalaides (prolly spelled wrong) thats who i pictured when reading the books. and OMG!! I never thought bout david bowie as niall, that is too perfect!! Just the right air of sexy and creepy lol. But has he done anything lately? I mean is he healthy? Cuz yall know hes pretty old, just sayin.

As far as hallow, i think she may wind up being the girl that was scorned at the bar. U know the one eric was tearing up in the basement lol. Cuz u know later on, he kind of pissed her off pretty bad. Who knows, she could have always been a witch and was just trying to get in good with eric so she could get what she wanted…but we all know the easy chic gets more screwed in the end lmbo.

U know, i think they should cast kane hodder in there somewhere. I mean hes not ALL that hot but he is big and looks real mean, so he could be a bad guy or something. idk i guess he is kinda cute in a real rugged sorta way. But he is virtually unheard of too cuz he always played immortal killers with masks, so u dont really see his face.

I never really pictured anyone playing quinn, cept a large muscular beautiful guy i absolutly loved when i was 16, but unfortunatly he was 20, so i had no chance lol

I wonder if Eric will remember that Godric is dead when he has amnesia or if he’ll even remember Godric at all? Eric didn’t recognize Pam. I agree Loleaf that Godric would not have asked Sookie to look out for Eric if he knew that Eric would harm her. Also, Godric could feel Eric’s emotions so most likely he knew that Eric had feeling for Sookie. Godric knows Eric best. I really hope that Eric and Sookie get to have a heart to heart about Godric because they only briefly discussed him. I’m sure Eric would want to know what Godric’s last moments were like and only Sookie holds that knowledge.

In regards to the books, I still think that it is possible for Sookie/Eric to end up together. Probably, not in the show. That might be wishful thinking but it’s not entirely out of the question. I heard that origionally, the 10th book was supposed to be the last one. I hope there done after book 13 because I just want to know the end result. Also, I think I heard Harris mentioned that she might have some stories that entail the adventures of Sookie and the guy she chooses. Who better to go on an adventure with than Eric? Plus she get the bonus of Pam. The books only take place over a few years so Sookie could end up with a vampire. The relationship would be complicated and they would be doomed either way though. It probably will not happen though. If Sookie/Sam end up together it would be settling in my opinion.

Personally, I liked the amnesia storyline. I’m sure that is biased because I’m an Eric/Sookie fan. I do see Isis point though the storyline was a little odd. I think it was clever though because it gave Eric/Sookie fans a small taste of what they wanted. There was still suspense because Eric did not remember the amnesia for a long time. The fans had to wait 9 books for them to really get together. I wish the seasson could start earlier. I just read that short story with Pam/Sookie “Two Blondes” and I enjoyed. We still have to wait many months to the 11th book to come out.

How the heck is everyone? I am so sorry that I have been MIA. I have had to cut down alot of my posting due to continuing family issues as well as life in general. Also, Work work work!!

Good news is in one of Alex’s interviews, he said they are going to start shooting in late November. Yay!! That’s only about a month away. More spoilers and more TB S4 news then.

Isis, did you hear anything more about a movie after S4 or possibly S5??? What’s your take on it?? I hope that doesn’t mean the series will end with a movie. No, say it isn’t so.

Hey Isis, jaxx **waving* . I echo everything that you said jaxx! That was one of my fav books also, I loved the closeness that they shared, the skittish behavior that Eric showed when he sat on the floor wrapped around Sookie’s legs. It showed the side of Eric that he was never able to show anyone else due to his place in vamp society. Who’s to say that that wasn’t his demeanor when he was human. Even though that side of Eric didn’t last, when he finally remembered it changed him. Like in TB when Sookie was with Godric at the end, Eric has never forgotten what she did. Even though they have never had an actual conversation about it, and the way Eric is protective of Pam, what Sookie did for Godric was one of the most selfless acts Eric probably has ever witnessed from anyone much-less a human. I think Godric knew a kinder/loving side of Eric, one that we have yet to see, why else would he ask Sookie to look after him!! To me that shows that Godric being Eric’s maker, being protective of him has instilled the same protective instincts to Eric. Eric has shown us that protectiveness with Pam, so to me that shows that he has a heart! I hope they do follow the books and have Eric with the amnesia, but we all know how they like to tweak the stories. Who knows it may be Sookie the one with the amnesia and all bets will be off when it comes to who she chooses next season!! 😉 Could be Alcide, Eric, Bill or she could meet a nice Fae in the pond!! LOL

Hi Isis. I’ve heard other people voice your opinion as well and I do respect it.

I, on the other hand, liked the amnesia storyline. I felt that Sookie saw the “raw” Eric, the real potential of Eric deep down inside without all of the vamp politics, business stress, pressure, 1,000 years of bad influences. I saw a vulnerable Eric, in his true form. I saw the potential of what Eric could be over time given the love of a good woman, which Eric really had never experienced before in his vampire life (In the books, he was married with children in his human life.) Yes, Sookie fell for that Eric and was disappointed (in the books) when Eric started to remember his previous lifestyle and slowly went back to it, but she was attracted to him on some level before he had amnesia. I think Sookie wanted to experience being with Eric thinking he’d never remember it at all without feeling weird or guilty, but when he started to remember, things got complicated. And, while it took 4 more books for Eric to fully remember what he and Sookie had experienced together (which was beautiful in my opinion), Eric himself couldn’t believe how happy he was going over all the memories they created together. He actually sat on the end of the bed with his head in his hands. I think this changed their relationship forever. Depsite many obstacles still in their way, Eric has really tried to be “the other Eric” because he was truly happy that way and realized he truly loved Sookie, JIMO. *shrugs*

Personally, I found the amnesia storyline to be one of the weakest used in the books because it shows that Sookie falls in love with someone who is NOT Eric. She’s a victim of Nightingale Syndrome, or whatever it’s called. Eric was not himself, and Sookie nursed him back to health. During that time, she “fell in love” with a sweet, gentle creature instead of the real Eric. That’s a perfect example of the syndrome, because she fell in love with someone she was “helping” rather than falling in love with him for who he really is.

Besides that, with Eric so fundamentally changed as an amnesiac, HOW can anyone argue that it’s the same guy who we saw previously in the books? What about after when he got his real personality back and completely forgot about what happened during his time with Sookie?

After the way S3 ended, I do not think Sookie will really want too much to do with Bill no matter what he does for a long minute anyway, I think she is gonna take some time to do whatever she wants. This one is gonna be really hard for her to just forget, I think Eric will have his in this next season. Bill could explain away and rationalize a good deal of what did take place, and came out the good guy, and no matter how much I liked Bill or not, right is right and wrong is really wrong this time. I don’t know where Bill will come out in the end on this, but it did not look real good for him at the end. I am sorry, but I would have to take Eric hands down right now, cement and all to help me get past Bill and move on, and that might take a while all things considered.(smile)

I think the new supes to be introduced will be demons (I’m also dreaming about a weretiger…. can’t wait for Quinn to be cast). As we already have witches, vamps, fae, shifters etc

I read somewhere on the internet that the lady who plays Pam made some comment that we might see Eric in pink lycra, so maybe Eric will escort Sookie to the swingers party. Its a bit of a mash-up of plot lines, but I couldn’t think of any other reason Eric would be in lycra.

Bring on memory-less Eric, and the shower!. However I hope it doesn’t take too many seasons for Eric to remember his time with Sookie. As he didn’t regain his memory until book 9??

Me too! If they don’t at least follow the amnesia storyline from the books, then I’ll be disappointed. But, the inclusion of Hallow makes me really hopeful. Yes, I’m looking forward to that first yummy scene that we get of them. I hope that they keep some of the dialogue too!

True blood is a very nice show and the best part of this show is that beside the conventional vampire & human love story there are lot of things happening around now as for season 3 it was a roller coster ride but ended with to many unanswered question, this show has vampires, ware wolves,fairies,witches but one character i would really like to see get in the mix of it all is Dorian Gray.

I love Labyrinth. I still ‘ship Jareth/Sarah to this day, and when Tokyopop released a 4 book manga sequel to the movie (I’ve only read the first one), I was told that the writers of that storyline also were fans of the Jareth/Sarah pairing.

The Labryinth is a good movie. I wonder if Trey will make an appearance next season. He is such a good character in the books. I think Josh Holloway would make a good Trey. I think AB was aa fan of Lost. Andy needs a girlfriend. Maybe they will delve into Bill’s lineage. Just a thought. I just hope next seasson skips ahead a few month. It probably won’t though.

OMG Isis!! David Bowie as Niall would be beyond perfect!

He is such a dominant amazing personality, and with so much talent. What a flair he would bring to the show. and especially if he could sing as too. Well why not?? If the fae can dance the day away why not sing as well?? Would be great.
And opposite Stephen, another talented beautiful Brit. They would light up the screen with their stunning features.

I have been a fan of Davids since I was a 14! I absolutely loved him as Jareth in Labyrinth, it is one of my daughters favorites too. David with the long flowing whitish hair……..Perfect.
Remember the dancing scene at the ball with Jennifer C.?? How graceful and beautiful, would definitely give new meaning to the dancing Fae!! 😉

I am SO excited for season 4 (already)! I was a little disappointed with this season, so my hopes are set on the next one! I’m just hoping against hope they don’t pack so many story lines into such a short season. This season tried too hard to split airtime between all the main and popular supporting characters, and I think it got too jumbled. A lot of ends seemed to be hastily tied or remain loose, and nothing HUGE seemed to happen in contrast to everything that was going on. If the creators are going to be that ambitious, they need to have a longer season (18-24 episodes).

However, for the NEXT season, I’m definitely hoping for some Eric/Sookie lovin’! There’s a good chance Jason could get bitten, since he’s now on his own in Hotshot (which has unfortunately been portrayed with ever backwards, redneck stereotype ever created). Obviously Bill is going to win in the fight against Sophie-Ann, and start his emo period. I’m so excited to see the witch war! With all the growing coverage and support, the funds for the show are bound to increase so special effects should be amazing.
Isis–GREAT casting choices! Although I pictured Claude as a bit more feminine, but that’s just a personal vision.

Any speculations on the other new characters? Excluding Hallow and the fae, of course.

I have to comment re: the possible casting of Claude and Niall. 😀

For Niall, I’m with Joe Manganiello… David Bowie all the way! The man is the real deal, has been in movies before, knows how the business works, etc. Besides, *drools* he was Jareth in Labyrinth! (Be still my heart!)

For Claude, I want Andrew Bowen to play him. He’s practically perfect for my vision of the role. Besides that, he’s an unknown as well as a wonderful actor, and I think AB is looking for unknowns.

With the introduction of Hallow, there will be a spell. Hopefully, it’s the “heart’s desire” spell. Eric will have amnesia and let the fun begin. There will be a new side to Eric and Pam and Sookie as well.

I think Alcide will be back making a play for Sookie as well as Eric.

I think Sookie will meet her fae relatives: Claude, possibly even Niall will make an appearance. I so want to see who plays Niall.

I wonder if we’re going to meet Dianthus and that whole crew. Did we meet Mr. Catailades when Eric made out his will???

I’m hoping Jason will be kidnapped and turned as in the books too.

Don’t know what we’ll have in store for Sam.

Laf will be involved in some sort of voodoo/witchcraft as well.

Holly and her wiccans will be a big part of S4 and if we follow the books, there will be a witch war as well.

Can’t wait until S4. 🙂

As do many of us! I do think it will but the meat of the story will be different. Book 3 and Season 3 open and ended much the same (Bill kidnapped/Sookie rescinding all invites into her home).

I see no reason why they won’t do the same in season 4 but that will be the only thing the same – the rest will be a mix of stuff. He may stay at Sookie’s house as it’s a human home, invite required. Pam had suggested that in Season 3 after Eric killed Talbot.

Hallow is the witch/were who is hooked on V. She was the one who wanted to take over Eric’s bar and sleep with him. She cast the spell and gave Eric amnesia. There are so many characters in the books sometimes I forget wo they are.
