IMDb.com Lists Eric Northman for Only 2 Episodes:

Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) has Hep V in HBO's True Blood Season 7Fans of HBO’s True Blood are fearful that Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) may not last for much longer thanks to the TV and Movie database, IMDb.com, listing him as only appearing in two episodes of True Blood Season 7!

And thanks to the fact that we ended Episode 2 with an Eric clearing displaying the signs of, what is so far, terminal Hep-V, it is a well founded fear.

But thanks to TVLine’s Ask Ausiello section, we have been reliably reassured by Michael Ausiello that everyone’s favorite viking vampire, Eric Northman, will be appearing for longer than that:

It’s a mistake and there will be more of Eric than that. A lot more of Eric. And if you’re a fan of Eric-Pam, then you’re going to love the July 20 episode. I’ve got two words for you, one of them is “trip” and the other is “road.”

I think it’s funny that there are 7 comments debating whether Eric is the most important character or not when most of these TB gossip/news items for other charactors have 0 or 1 comments. Sheer numbers would indicate he is the top draw for the show. BTW, one way out for Eric might be for Sookie to blast him with her light, perhaps the very last of it, leaving her vulnerable and no longer telepathic, but curing him of the hep-v virus. I have no clue why she would need to blast him, but I’m a ‘big picture’ kinda thinker, the writers can fill in those pesky details…

Eric Northman IS the fan favorite 😉 leave it to a Billushional to have a problem with it. HE is the only reason the show has lasted as long as it has. Get real 😉 no amount of pushing saint bill the rapist down any one’s throats are going to change the fact that he, Bill is a terrible character, and was only a plot diversion in the books, and rightfully so. The whiney coward.

    really i thought the show was about sookie.. ..and bon temp.. yes people like eric,, but he isnt the only star to true blood.. its ful of great characters,,,, too each is own who fan favorite is.. i like jason…if u read the books neither vampire gets sookie in the end,,Plus tb alot different then the books.. sookie isnt with eric alot in these show.eric does his own thing,, hes more with pam and his vampires..u speak of rape..was never any rape read your books.. and nothing like that was on these show. with sookie..either sookie will be with el or Bill maybe sam in the end.. or no one

      Yes he raped her in the trunk of the car in the books and in the graveyard in the show. Eric, yes he is one of the side characters who ended up more popular than the “stars” of the show lolololol

        Eric is popular, and it’s great that he is, and has brought a lot of fans to support Alex’s career. But that is not the SHOW. TB is an ensemble, and no one character is THE reason people watch. Sookie and Bill are the lead characters, whether some viewers like to believe it or not. Talk about delusional….wow!

    The ONLY reason the show has lasted? OMG! I’m sorry buy you are making statements that have no basis in reality. Get a grip! Please keep your hateful comments about Bill to yourself. The rest of us would like to enjoy Bill, Eric, Sam, Jason, Lafayette, Andy, Sookie, Arlene, Jessica, Pam, and the rest of the characters without the tirades of hate we’ve put up with by some people for years and years. It’s inconsiderate. And it’s also not TB’s story, it’s your own story which you somehow derived from the books. But it’s not really what the books are about, and not what TB is about.

I beg to differ with the assumption that Eric Northman is “everyone’s favorite vampire.” Although a very fun and enjoyable character, EN is no more a favorite of many fans than are the characters Jason, Sam, Andy, or Lafayette. With many of his fans trolling the internet, and posting repeatedly on many sites, it appears he is the fan favorite. But he is one of an ensemble cast, who all make TB the great show it is.

    Amen. If I had to peg down one reason why I like this show its how well the writers handle the characters, what motivates them, how they interact with each other and all the conflict: internal and external conflicts. And the characters are all very well-rounded and multi-dimensional.
